I loved my sauna session! It’s a great vibe. It gets super hot! I love that we can just pop outside to cool down as needed. And if you’re brave enough, jump in the lake. It gets a little crowded but then people are coming and going so at one point I was in there alone! I can’t wait to come back. It was a great way to spend my birthday.

This place is hands down one of the most unique and rejuvenating experiences I've had in the Pacific Northwest. This floating sauna, bobbing right on the serene waters of Lake Washington at Carillon Point, feels like a hidden gem inspired by Scandinavian traditions. The setup is incredible—the sauna features massive glass walls (large panoramic windows) that offer breathtaking views of the lake while you're heating up inside the wood-fired stove. It's cozy yet spacious, with benches that get deliciously hot, and the whole structure gently rocks with the water, adding to the relaxing vibe. But the real magic happens with the contrast therapy: heating up in the intense, soothing warmth and then diving straight into the crisp, cold Lake Washington. What a brilliant idea! The shock of the plunge is invigorating—it's exhilarating, energizing, and leaves you feeling completely reset and alive. I cycled between the sauna and the lake a few times, and each plunge felt more rewarding than the last. Everything is well-organized, from the changing area to the essential oils available for that extra aromatic touch. Whether you go for a social session or private booking, it's perfect for unwinding solo or with friends. If you're looking for something truly special that combines nature, wellness, and a bit of adventure, Von Sauna is a must-try. I left feeling refreshed, euphoric, and already planning my next visit!

Visited Von Sauna at Carillon Point early this morning, and it was honestly one of the best ways I’ve ever started a day. We arrived around 7am and stayed until about 8:15, just in time to watch a gorgeous sunrise spill over the marina. The atmosphere alone made the whole experience unforgettable. We followed a 15-minute hot sauna / 2-minute cold plunge rotation and completed four full rounds. The heat was perfect, and the lake plunge right after was unreal — crisp, invigorating, and the kind of reset you can feel through your whole body. The space is super well-designed and thoughtful. They provide generous-sized lockers for all your gear, easy water dispensers to refill your bottles, and multiple scent options for the sauna rocks. We went with eucalyptus, and it elevated the entire session — refreshing, clean, and exactly what you want in a morning sweat. If you’re looking for a rejuvenating, beautifully set sauna + cold plunge experience, this place is a must. Can’t wait to go back.

10/10 - really lovely sauna, very clean, well kept, stayed hot and got extremely hot. The access to Lake Washington for cold plunge is perfect. The ladder isn’t as big an issue as some reviews note imo (it’s sturdy, each rail is rounded so doesn’t feel great on the feet and coming down feels like you’ll slip - just jump in ;). The entrance to each sauna is the “changing room” but it’s quite compact so most folks dried off on the dock on departure. There’s fresh water to refill your water bottles and validated parking from the Sauna Master who was incredibly nice, welcoming and helpful. Will absolutely be back - highly recommend for anyone curious as a fun experience to try!

You feel so good after being in the sauna and the lake. I can’t say enough good things about this experience!

Google
Absolutely incredible floating sauna on Lake Washington! Exquisite craftsmanship, perfect heat, and a refreshing cold plunge. David, the host, is kind and attentive, and the free parking is an added bonus. I’ve been fortunate to experience unique and authentic saunas all over the world, and this one tops the list. Highly recommend!

Easy booking and waiver signing process online! Easy parking in the area (garage or outdoor lots with reimbursement by VonSauna). The two saunas are placed inside a yacht marina. Views are lovely towards the boats in front and Lake Washington views can be enjoyed towards the side. The saunas are clean and modern and got new ovens this season. There are little rooms to change and store/lock away items in front of each sauna which is very convenient. The plunge into Lake Washington is exhilarating! You can use a ladder to get into the lake or go for a jump! Staff is super friendly and accommodating! They will come in and place a snowball onto the oven every once in a while to enjoy steam slowly releasing with some incense oils. This place is a great Seattle winter time activity perfect to enjoy in any weather :) I highly recommend booking a sunset time slot!

I went for the social plunge at 7am on a Thursday (nov 20th, 2025) it was awesome, great crew we had, met some cool people and we got to cold plunge in the lake a few times / hype each other up. The owner of Von Sauna, David, is a super chill dude, very helpful and makes sure your overall experience is a1. I also went last year with a big group of guys and we rented the whole Suana out, if you have a big group of people I highly recommend this because you get to control the heat and enjoy the experience hower you'd like. If you are thinking of doing the social sauna I highly recommend it, I went alone but most people came with someone else, either way you'll have a good time!

Yelp
We booked our session a few weeks in advance. We went on a Sunday in the middle of the day. The location is very easy to find and they have a front kiosk that you can check in at. I recommend coming dressed with your swimsuit on underneath as there is a tiny locker space before you enter the sauna, but it is not private otherwise you can utilize the public restrooms nearby. Our host did a great job of explaining best practices for utilizing both the sauna and taking a cold plunge into Lake Washington. Water stations are available, but you should bring your own reusable water bottle. I noticed other groups had also brought some hydrating snacks that they were munching on in between the hot and the cold. The sauna and the lake were approximately 190°F and 45°F, respectively. We booked a social session so we were in a sauna room with a bunch of other people. When you enter the sauna, you need to bring your own towel to sit on. There are essential oils that you can use and water to create more steam on the rocks. Our host came in periodically to re-fuel the fire with fresh wood. In the sauna, there is a sand timer that lasts 15 minutes. Then you do the cold part and jump into Lake Washington. It's absolutely freezing cold! You can either go down the metal ladder to ease yourself in or jump off the dock. Most people immediately get back out, but you can stay in there for a couple of minutes. Because you have to utilize steps and a dock ladder (at least to climb back up and exit the water) I would say this experience requires an abled-body. We had an excellent time getting to know the other people in our session and bonded over the ridiculous temperature extremes. I would absolutely recommend this experience and would love to return again.

Yelp
Alternating between the 185-degree sauna and the 52-degree lake turned my muscles to jelly within the first 30 minutes. The remainder of the time was pure dopamine bliss. The sauna master, a tall Dane in a knit cap named David, answered our questions and gave us the tips and instruction we needed to make the most of our sauna experience. He and his father keep the sauna perfectly clean and in tip top shape. The 8 people that were packed cozily into our session went in mostly strangers but the conversations soon flowed and continued until with shared laughter and smiles we said goodbye. This is an epic Northwest activity for out of town guests, guys or gals gatherings, or just for any individual looking for a little stress-free self care.

Yelp
This was an amazing experience There's easy (paid) parking on site, staff was super friendly, and sauna was so clean! You can adjust the temperature with provided water and essential oils. On site staff also checks temperature every half hour to ensure everyone has a great experience! I was really hesitant to jump into lake WA on a 40 degree day but it's definitely a must! We booked a 4PM slot and were able to catch the sunset with this gorgeous view! 10/10 recommend if you haven't been

Yelp
What a fabulous experience! The Sauna was a perfect temperature and very clean. The atmosphere was amazing being on the water and I met some really cool new people. I was hesitant about plunging into Lake Washington after sitting in the sauna, but I went for it and the feeling was awesome! Friendly staff, great views and well organized.

Yelp
I love saunas and this is a great experience. The sauna is beautiful and sits right on the lake floating. The idea is to alternate the sauna with a cold plunge in the lake. The only issue was, on this day, the lake was rough and I didn't feel comfortable jumping off the dock. However, there are ladders available to climb down, hang onto while cold plunging, and then climb up. The price is very reasonable and gave time for about three rounds of sauna plus cold plunge. I will be back when they open again in season.

Yelp
Super fun! The endorphins after the cold plunge! Felt amazing afterwards! Great concept, fun crowd, awesome views. And very good to build self confidence and accomplish something outside of your comfort zone!

Yelp
No one else is reviewing this place because they don't want you to know how absolutely wonderful it is. Wood fired serious sweat. I went on a windy Sunday evening during a social session and enjoyed every minute. It's protected in the marina so barely felt the sway of waves. The social aspect was a nice surprise! Met some very lovely people. tips-I brought a robe and my flip flops and was happy for both. I showed up underdressed in my suit and changed off the dock. It is a climb down from the dock to the water, so if you have water shoes it might make the journey more comfortable. I'm booking sessions in advance for weekdays when I can get away. I understand those social sessions don't fill up as much. I'm not sure what the capacity is and people cycle in and out so it's never too crowded inside, but nice to have a little extra space while sweating. The changing room is very, very small, but the public bathrooms are close by via a walk down the dock. Hyvä Sauna

Yelp
This was such a fun experience and truly a hidden gem. My boyfriend and I did this a couple of weeks ago and decided it is something we want to frequent. It felt so good for our bodies and mental health, we got a group of all of our friends to go back again next week. The sauna was beautiful and super well kept. Every detail was thought of in this experience and it was so relaxing. The cold plunge is not for the faint of heart, but it got easier and easier each time we plunged in. I already can't wait to go back. Once this place becomes more discovered, it's going to be hard to get reservations here. Highly recommend!!
