We were recommended this place from a couple of vegetarians. We are flexitarians, but we enjoy trying vegan dishes or common meals reinterpreted as vegan. The vegan kebaps sandwiches were good, the staff polite and the place is nice, although I recommend keeping a more thorough cleaning during summer because the tables were a little sticky.

Google
small shop with good food, but sadly not as good as I hoped. The meat wasn't super meaty and tasted kind of like tomato paste. Good for a quick meal, but there are better vegan kebab places.

Google
Honestly just a really good kebab. Given its vegan, the kebab is really flavourful and the ingredients are fresh and well packed into the bread. Their tahini garlic sauce and tomato chili sauce is equally great. The Fries and peanut sauce is the real star of the menu though.

Google
Friendly, fast service! Great place if your looking for a quick bite to eat. They also have indoor and outdoor seating if you want to enjoy your meal there. Really lovely menu with lots of great options! I got the fries and a dönar in a wrap. Food was really lovely! The only reason I gave a 4* was because I felt the dönar was a bit salty. But this is personal preference. Other than that everything was lovely! Overall, I would recommend checking this shop out.

I was disappointed. The kebab doesn’t taste very nice, you can still taste a bread like flavour from the Seitan. Not much flavour from the kebab. Food itself was way too salty and not worth the price. Tahini with garlic sauce was good, the yogurt with herbs sauce it’s very bland. Chips had a weird flavour too. They only accept cash.

Google
This was the last kebab of my trip in Germany so I had high expectations ;) totally worth it. For the cheap price you get a huge and delicious kebab, you get to seat comfortably either inside or outside and admire all the people in this neighborhood with punk style, tattoos and piercings. Berlin vibes. Also, go to their toilets (which are by the way super clean) and admire the typical Berlin stickers overload :)

Google
Unreal. So much food for our cheapest meal in Berlin. Everything was delicious! Add the cheesy, fried onion chips to your order for sure. We had kebabs with yoghurt sauce. It's small but easy to get table and all friendly and kind staff.

Yum! I can’t remember the last time I had vegan doner kebab & dang did this hit the spot. We stopped by on a Thursday evening & they were very busy, rightfully so! The doner is done properly & is a large portion for a great price. The cheezy fries were a highlight & a mouthwatering starter. Get them when you’re ordering, you won’t regret it.

Yelp
Loved it! Bread is awesome. Meat is good but a little bit overpowered by spices. Vegan Joghurt Sauce is tha bomb and so is the vegan mayo! Why "only" 4 stars you ask? I missed Rotkohl und Weißkohl im Vöner ... it's a must a think. Maybe you will consider adding it

Yelp
I made a special trek out to this location just to try to famous vegan döner, and while it was not bad, I also don't think it was necessarily worth the effort I put into it. I ordered the original pocket sandwich style that contained the "vöner," which was sliced off spit (pretty interesting!), as well as a variety of fresh veggies. The problem was that the yogurt sauce overpowered everything. I wanted more flavor from the "meat" than the sauce, and I was disappointed by that. The staff was nice, as well as bilingual, and there was adequate seating inside or out. I would definitely go back if in the area, but I wouldn't make a special trip for it.

Yelp
Voner is the first official vegan meal I had in Berlin! Boy, I was so excited to come here. I've read the reviews, seen the recommendations, and after a whole day of traveling and airport food, I never felt so much anticipation to order from a German vegan restaurant. I needed a moment to shake off the realization that I cannot understand the menu at all, but luckily the cashier spoke English and helped me out. I settled on the Crunchy Burger with Peanut Sauce. This is a perfectly composed burger, with fresh crisp lettuce, and topped with all kinds of savory goodness. It was definitely crunchy and peanut-y. But, it was a bit too salty in my opinion. The patty was really salty and the sauce was salty too. Combined, it was just a little high on the sodium level. Kyle H. ordered the Kebab sandwich, which he described as tasting like an authentic gyro. This was lighter than the burger and delicious as well. We opted for some drinks and sat outside to people watch and take in Berlin in its whole. Is this the moment I fell in love with the city? Maybe not yet, but still a great scene to enjoy.

Yelp
Great vegan twist on a typical German meal! The food was flavored well & the sauces were incredible!!! I'm vegan and typically I am weirded out by 'fake meat' but they made it so good, and it really didn't seem like I was eating 'meat'!!! Loved it!!!!!!

Yelp
Thanks to this place I finally got to try a döner! Food was delicious and price extremely reasonable. They offered different sauces and when I wanted to try them all (mmm sauce), they made me a little "Regenbogen" inside the sandwich. The seitan döner was flavorful and delicious, with seasonings that reminded me of Tofurkey Italian sausage. My only suggestion might be that the tahini sauce is pretty thick and heavy, maybe too much tahini in proportion to the other ingredients. Usually you can use a small amount of tahini and whip it up with water and lemon juice into a lighter-colored, fluffier sauce. Friendly staff and great experience overall.

Yelp
Vöner is an incredible choice for vegans craving typical German fast food like doner kebabs and currywurst! I came in wanting to try everything! So I ordered their: 1) Vöner (Vegan Döner): I love that the "meat" is carved off a spit! How fun! The bread is toasty on the outside and pillow-y on the inside. The garlic sauce was so tasty and really made the sandwich! It's also a huge portion and was overflowing with filling! 2) Currywurst: The texture of the currywurst was on point, and the curry ketchup was great. However, if you're a meat-eater and you're looking for a sausage-y taste, this might not be for you. 3) Special Fries: My favorite out of the things I tried! The fries were thick cut, and they were the perfect vehicle for the creamy cheese sauce and caramelized onions. I would definitely come back to try some of their other menu items... and definitely with a side of Special Fries!

Yelp
Kebabs? check. Vegan? Check.....WHAT!? Yes, amazing vegan doner kebabs, or voners. I love Berlin and the ability to get amazing vegan food anywhere. Many vegan options not just the basic doner. My friend actually gets a Vegan sandwich. They also served a vegan goulash. Tiny but I think the cramped atmosphere added to its charm. Open late and the staff is great! Let me try all the sauces cause I couldn't decide on which one that I wanted.

Yelp
My favorite vegan place in Berlin for 3 years! The durum wrap and special chips are really classy and tasty combination. Yes, it's still a fast-food, not so healthy (but they try to do it in the healthiest way with organic ingredients!), but it's the best vegan Döner in Berlin. The always friendly staff, clean space, good quality of food + you can feel the vibe of Friedrichshain. It's not a fucking surrogate, just a special place for me!

Yelp
Wonderful! Our family of four (with one teen and one pre-teen) ate our first meal in Berlin here and what a way to start. We had Voner kebabs, one with the tahini garlic sauce and the other with peanut sauce, goulash, and Special Potaroes, thick fries covered with a yummy "cheese" sauce and sauteed onions -- delicious and HUGE. The staff were very friendly and spoke beautiful English. My youngest is in a wheelchair and with the kind help of another patron we were able to lift his chair up and in, seating inside was not a problem. There is a disabled sticker on the outside of the cafe so maybe they have a temp ramp they can also place or a back, smooth entrance. ??? If I were to eat here again I think I'd get the Voner on a plate, not a sandwich or wrap (because they're so large). Delicious, cash only

Yelp
Great vegan doner! The special fries were really good too, I have no idea what was in the "cheese" sauce but their sign says 110% vegan. Really fair prices too.

Yelp
It's a Vegetarian Doener! However, I prefer their Wagonburger's here. I find the wheat gluten to be too wheaty. Fries are good, not the best, but better than Yellow Sunshine and worse than Vegoworld (who I think has some of the best fries around). Next time I come here, I am going to try the fish n' chips! A drawback is that not all of their sauces are vegan, so be sure to ask beforehand.

Yelp
Had high hopes after reading the yelp reviews. The staff was great and food wholesome... However was disappointed by the texture of the vegan doner and was not really a fan of their fries and especially the "special" fry sauce... Had better fries in Berlin but a good vegan option perhaps.

Yelp
My taste buds just explode after eating a Vöner, this is freaking amazing! and the Crunchy Burger If you are a peanut butter fan, YOU GOT TO TRY IT! Delicious!!!! :D I just love this place.

Yelp
The food isn't that tasty and very fat. It's okay to visit it one, but that's it. It's very small and expensive. But hey, the Fries special are pretty cool.:)

Yelp
Places you loved are so easy to review! The vegan doner is so amazingly good and so is the Vegan currywurst. Yes Vegan Currywurst. When I first got to Berlin I thought ketchup with curry was an aberration, they managed to make me like it. Hard to find something that isn't good here, fries with veganaise? Also awesome. Friendly and efficient staff. Definitely one of the best eateries in the city.

Yelp
In love with this place. Was traveling for a month in Berlin and I ate here 6 times. Definitely get the vöner and be prepared to be full. I also liked the vegan burger and pomme fries. But it's all about the vöner, honestly.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Usually my reviews are longer, but here I think this is enough of a review: yum yUM YUM! Vegan kebab for 5 euros, vegan curry wurst, veggie burgers, massive portions of vegan fast food for little prices. Will most definitely be back.

Yelp
Omg so damn good. Id eat here almost every day if I could. I love the service, the food, the atmosphere, the eeeevvvvverything. I like Vöner way better than their burgers but nothing I've ever tried there wasn't anything but pure deliciousness made from heaven.

Yelp
Unreliable. This place is fine for your comfort food needs, but don't think it is anything more than that, not to mention that the quality of service and product can be hit or miss. When I was here the sauces were sort of bland, one of the wait staff was rude to me and I am not a fan of their fake meats since they are mostly made with wheat products- which is basically just paste. With so many other tasty food options nearby like, Laauma, there is on reason to go to this place unless you are craving a Donner and just can't kick it.. I definitely have no plans to go back to this place ever again. I suppose it may be a decent transition place if you are just starting to eat vegan, but don't think this is a representation of healthy vegan food.

Yelp
Amazing vegan restaraunt and amazing fries. Went there with friends who are not vegan and they loved the fries as well. Would definitely reccomend!!

Yelp
First-off, it's really odd eating veggie doner kebab, but it's damn tasty! The place is tiny (4 tables I think and a good half mile from the main drag of Boxhagenerstr.) and be prepared to smell like a deep-fryer on exit :) BUT the food was superb. The doner is delicious and juicy (seitan?) and the salad and fries were fantastic, really moreish. Prices were great (Berlin's unbelievable for value, especially when you've been living in London for a while) and I'll be back

Tracy G.

Yelp
Service could've been nicer, but dang. The food is awesome. Amazing vegan kebabs, currywurst, fries. Great portions and great prices.

Qype User (briget…)

Yelp
For me one of the best aspects of Vöner is that the chips are homemade - and fried twice. Just like my mother used to make :) The interior is rustic but friendly and unintimidating, the food is lovely and more importantly freshly prepared, and the staff friendly and approachable. Its a bit out of the way but if your looking for good affordable vegetarian/vegan food in Berlin - you can do worse.

Qype User (senatt…)

Yelp
Its the only place that knows how to make a good vegan döner = vöner. It's complicated to prepare it, which absolutely justifies the price that is above the average fast food. You have to wait about 30minutes during peak hour (midday and sometimes in the evening). With this in mind you can order something and come back later ;) I am grateful to have that place in the area and hope they get the support they deserve. So try once in a while, as a person who likes meat you might like it from time to time.

Yelp
pretty disgusting vegetarian doner. i'd only advise to go here if you are a) vegan and b) completely broke. it's very cheap but i won't be returning. the fries actually looked very good but i didn't try them.

Qype User (CUPCAK…)

Yelp
went here with some vegan friends of mine i'm not a vegetarian, but i had a vöner and really enjoyed it! slathered it in some vegan mayo and hot peppers! delish. i also love the fact that place is a little punk rock and laid back inside. totally no frills and relaxed.

Qype User (waff…)

Yelp
Evidently vegan and vegetarian friendly. I actually find it reasonably good as a vegetarian alternative to Döner. I think the Vöner is mostly seitan/gluten based. I've been a few times and it's reasonably tasty although not incredible. Probably worth a look if you are vegetarian and in the neighbourhood or not too far away. If I lived nearby I'd probably be going more often. Relaxed atmosphere, hasn't been unpleasantly busy the times I've gone.

Yelp
really good vegetarian döner. plus for the amount of sauces they add to the bread.

Tanya H.

Yelp
Pretty good Doner. It was great seeng the seitan on the spit, made it so much more authentic. Could use more zip but maybe I just didn't get the "right" sauce.

Bernhardt S.

Yelp
auch als nicht-Vegetarier (und ehemals überzeugter Fleischesser) fand ich das Essen recht lecker. eine von den beiden bedienungen schien allerdings einen schlechten Tag zu haben bzw wirkte recht ruppig
