I always appreciate when a restaurant leans confidently into its theme — and Voodoo Bayou definitely delivers on atmosphere. The space feels energetic and bold, with a menu that promises Southern comfort and Cajun flair. I ordered the gumbo and a strawberry margarita. The gumbo had a solid base — smoky and savory — with a roux that tasted thoughtfully built. The sausage had good seasoning, and the seafood was cooked properly. Where it fell short for me was depth: the broth lacked the layered complexity I expect from a gumbo simmered low and slow, and the seasoning could’ve used a touch more heat and salt to really wake it up. Good — but not memorable. The strawberry margarita was refreshing and visually appealing, with a nice balance of sweetness and tartness. Service was polite and fast, and the crowd wasn’t overwhelming. Overall, Voodoo Bayou is a fun place with personality, and my meal was decent — just not quite at the “wow” level I hoped for. With a bit more flavor finesse and consistency, it could easily climb higher. Would I return? Yes — but I’d try a few other dishes before deciding if it becomes a regular stop.

The server Riley was fantastic! He was super helpful with explaining the menu and suggestion items to order! He was very attentive and gave great service. The Jambalaya was very big portions and very flavorful, I would definitely recommend. Macaroni and cheese taste like macaroni with very little cheese. The fried green tomatoes were a great mixture of flavor and pretty good. Overall good experience

We came here for the first time to celebrate a birthday. The hostess seated us right away and asked if we were their for anything special— we mentioned the birthday and she kick started the celebration! Our server riley brought over a birthday card, beaded necklaces and a positive attitude. He gave great menu recommendations for apps, mails, drinks and desserts. We tried the chicken sandwich, chicken and waffles shrimp and grits, a few mocktails & cocktail. The celebration ended with banana pudding— that was the least favorite thing we ordered. Riley was great. If you go in ask to sit with him for a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experiance.

Out Saturday night post Thanksgiving for a fun night with music tonight at this cool place. Cass made some suggestions right when we meet her at the table, Also Hope made some great suggestions. I went with The Jambalaya, it was just right spice level, and so flavorful. Shrimp, ham, chicken, andouille sausage, okra and more. So yummy! My wife had the crayfish etouffee. Not my style but yummy. Our friends had a steak and potato cake and a yellowtail crudo. Service was excellent and we stayed till after 9 to hear the live band play! Ended the night with a bread pudding and a bourbon pecan vanilla ice cream! Wow wow wow!

This place is amazing! The food was delicious, I highly suggest getting the fried chicken and waffles. The atmosphere was great, they had someone singing country songs and he did an excellent job. The bartenders, especially Mellisa, were friendly and very efficient. Mellisa made me her favorite drink, the Gold Rush, and I can see why it’s her favorite, I enjoyed it as well! I can’t wait to go back!

I haven't had a lot of Cajun food, but I thought it was outstanding. I got the jambalaya and would get it again. I also tried the steak, pasta, corn bread and fried chicken. All of it was great

MATTHEWWWW, Is amazing. There’s restaurants where servers feel that they absolutely need to come off strong and extremely outgoing for places that don’t need that. Matthew made my table feel warm and comfortable, not overwhelming, which was perfect for me. Not only that but he ran after us (outside of the restaurant) with a purse we left, lol. Thank you, Matthew, for being you. And the food was of course great!☺️.

This place is amazing. The food is delicious and fresh. The staff was quick and responsive, and Kaysee recommended my dinner for the evening, the Jambalaya. She clarified that I could get it with or without okra. I highly recommend this venue. It feels like it is directly off of the New Orleans streets. There is music, but not too intrusive, perfect background. Great to have a group or individual setting. Definitely coming back.

The coolest vibe in town. Step right into bourbon street with the Louisiana style dining room and menu. Even the bathrooms were a vibe. Definitely recommend for a date night- the server was especially nice and outgoing but the food was the best part. They were nice enough to accommodate my pregnant belly and my 1 year old son as well. Huge bar and outdoor seating to meet all your needs

I've been to Voodoo Bayou many times for both dinner and happy hour. For context, I'm from Texas, right next door to Louisiana, so I know a little something about Cajun food. With that said, Voodoo Bayou is... just okay on the food front. Not bad, but not quite hitting the mark if you're judging by Louisiana standards. That said, I actually like the restaurant more than I like the food. The bartenders have always been cool, and I've never had issues with table service--waitstaff are generally helpful and attentive. The setup is nice too: two sides to the bar inside, part of it extending outside, plus outdoor tables, which makes it a good spot to hang out. Food-wise, the happy hour wings are genuinely delicious and probably my favorite thing on the menu. I've also had the oyster po' boy and the jambalaya, and both were just okay if you're used to stronger Cajun flavors. Overall, it's a cool spot for drinks (might need a few to feel something), atmosphere, and happy hour. I wouldn't go in expecting authentic Louisiana-level Cajun food, but it's still a pleasant place to spend time, especially if you're nearby.

They say time heals all wounds. Well, this wounded man that looked nothing like New Orleans cooking has found its soul. Every once in a while, I like to visit a place just to see particular in these large places that turn over the kitchen in the front pretty regularly if They're walking the walk. Today I was not disappointed. The gumbo Yaya and the red beans and rice were on point red beans and rice were a little tepid but tasty. My Vieux Carré (Voo Carray- New Orleans Indians do not do French the way the French do)) cocktail was excellent. The bar is very deep in bourbons. Ambience is excellent and service was excellent. Parking is very easy. Definitely now I will be back.

A lot of people have told me they don't care about guest. I mean that in 2 ways I had a friend harassed at the outside bar and after an employee was notified he shrugged it off even after numerous harassment complaints. My time there was also terrible. I waited 20 minutes for my drink. After asking where it is and being forgotten I got up and left.

Unique New Orleans style restaurant serving up tasty Cajun cuisine. The food was delicious and the presentation was nice. The decor inside is beautiful. The service was great. We started with some deviled eggs and it looked adorable. The little swirls was topped with some caviar which was a nice touch. Light and fluffy texture. My jumbo crab cake benedict came out quickly but on the way to the table, one poached egg fell off the stack and the server said he needed to bring it back and redo it. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the staff only wanted to serve their dishes at its best. Great training on Vodoo Bayou! Second plate came out beautifully and tasted delightful. It was tangy, a little spicy and full of flavor. Lots of big chunks of crab meat too. The cheddar grits was creamy and rich. Big portion for a side. Wish I lived closer so I could come more often!

Came here for some good food and drinks. The food was phenomenal and the drinks were great as well. I give them a 4 just because we felt as if the drinks were made pretty weak but some people don't mind that. Overall the environment, staff, and food was great!

FOOD/DRINK: 5/5 SERVICE: 5/5 EXPERIENCE: 5/5 I will premise this with that this is a place that you go to every once in a while or on vacation, as it is both expensive and rich food. It was pretty on par with DC pricing imho. It feels like you have stepped into a Lousiana themed bar, in the best way possible. Dark lighting and a slightly eerie feeling really adds to it. We have now been to Voodoo Bayou twice and both times were impeccable. The service is attentive, kind, and even help out with suggestions on the menu. I ordered the blackberry lemonade and it originally got confused with the black magic lemonade, which has alcohol in it. Our server was super apologetic and I get it - they are similarly named. I think they should change one of the names. The lemonade was very refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Hubby got a guava infused lager, which he really liked. For entrees, I got the fried chicken and biscuit, while hubby got the cajun carbonara. The fried chicken was very crispy and spiced appropriately (read: not spicy), yet very moist! I chose to do all white meat, which an upcharge but very worth it. The biscuit was buttery and luscious. The meal came with hot honey to drizzle over it. Hubby's carbonara was deemed too rich and cheesy so he ate half of my chicken and some of his pasta. Honestly, we could have shared an entree - they were that big!! Now for the REAL reason you come - the beignets!!! The beignets were absolute perfection. Reasonable amount of powdered sugar, pillowy soft, and served warm. Heaven. This is a must order! We will be back but we don't come here every time we come to WPB since we kinda have to be in the mood for it.

It was okay, the food was good but nothing wow-ed me. There another Cajun chain in Florida similar to Voodoo Bayou called Tibby's and it is really good. I would rather go there just because th flavors are better. Everything was cooked perfectly, the band was wonderful and the server was amazing. So they get 4*

My friends and I were visiting WPB for the weekend and were really excited to try out this restaurant. Great experience! Service was fantastic. We went for brunch, delicious food and an unlimited mimosas option. There was a live band that morning which was great. We all tried different cocktails from the menu and they did not disappoint. Very much a New Orleans vibe, food included. Highly recommend the oysters and chicken and waffles!

I came across a restaurant that has Louisiana authentic Cajun and creole style infusion flavors . As I approached the restaurant walking up towards the entrance the doors were propped opened I could hear the live band playing music and laughter from customers from inside. I was greeted with a smile and right away seated. My waiter Shane was very polite and helpful, and friendly throughout the meal .First time here ..He explained the menu and got our table appetizers..Gator tail was new to me I have never had the tail , but I did have alligator before.. This was scrumptious and a hint of Cajun seasoning not too spicy and the sauce lemon and chipotle aioli went well with the gator tail. There was nothing left on the plate .. I ordered another appetizer for the table fried green tomatoes with pork bacon jam on top and I loved these the taste was like a blt with no bread .. I also order a bourbon drink and this came with bacon inside. I believe they called it breakfast old fashioned this was definitely my style drink. The waiter came to our table often and to made sure we if needed anything else very attentive.. I ordered a watermelon salad with chicken and the flavors were unbelievable the dressing was a pistachio vinaigrette and very good. We also ordered the seafood jambalaya and it came out in a cute pot with lid and the smell was amazing it was to die for.. I've noticed that when you look at the menu each course has a name opening act to yard and pond ..which goes with their decor and theme for the restaurant. Overall this restaurant was amazing and the food came to our table hot and fresh and the taste was absolutely next level my hats off to the chef and my waiter for making our time here a memorable one .. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be back to enjoy the different food on the menu ..

I went to Voodoo with a small group. I got to eat or try the Gator bites, garlic shrimp, Shrimp & grits, beignets, ice cream sundae! All the food had a great robust Cajun flavor and everything was cooked excellently! There was smokiness, richness and nothing was overpowering. The old fashioned was smoked at the table and the ice cream sundae was MASSIVE!! I could only eat 1/4 of it. I loved the candied nuts stashed in the center. The single best item was by and far the beignets! They were soft and doughy and sweet and melt in your mouth amazing!!! So good we went back the next day for some beignets to go! The service here was attentive but not overbearing! Also loved the decor!

Overall a decent experience out. The food, however, was missing the "heart and soul" associated with New Orleans cuisine. Kinda' institutional on flavors and hidden in overuse of their sauces. Vibe was great and service very efficient and friendly. Food needs to match the upscale pricing (It was a $200 evening for two with only two drinks). If I was in the area, I'd probably give it another shot.

We come here on Wednesdays for the wood fired oysters that go on special and the live music by Mike Sanchez. My little boy loves to get gumbo here. Server Cass is our favorite and always does a fabulous job. She knows us all by name and is just really attentive and sweet. We look forward to seeing her and listening to music by Mike on our Wednesday mommy son date every week.

I really like coming here especially for happy hour! I do think some of the portions could be bigger for the price. overall definitely a must try I also love how the place is designed!

I have only ever been here for lunch, but have tried many different items, all of which were delicious. The dark walls and cool looking bar give a warm fun and friendly feeling, even though it's supposed to be Voodooy. Our servers have also been very attentive, and catering to some special requests and needs. My favorites are the gumbo and the mudbug etoufee, I also love the desserts! It's the best place in that area for a delicious lunch.

Loved the ambiance of this place and the server (Joey A) was stellar! We were looking for somewhere to grab some lunch and this place spoke to us. We are huge fans of southern food and barbecue so this hit all the right notes. While I was hoping to try their fried chicken, it was not available on the weekend so I opted for the Chicken Sandwich. We also ordered the Shrimp and Grits, a side of charred okra, a side of smoky collard greens and a couple of iced teas. The food came out quickly. The shrimp and grits were the standout. Those grits were outstanding!! And the greens were just like my mother used to make. The chicken sandwich was quite tasty but the breast meat was quite tough around the thinner edges. I enjoyed the jalapeño cole slaw which added great flavor to the sandwich. The okra was a bit chewy. I suspect it is because the okra wasn't par-cooked so the grilling process didn't fully cook the okra. Plus they were larger pieces which tend to be tougher and stringier. But the best part of all was our server. He was 5-stars all the way! Joey was friendly, efficient, and always kept an eye on our table. Our iced teas were always filled and he checked on us numerous times during our visit. He's a keeper!!

I ordered the Snake Oil Salesman drink, and the mint was a lovely, refreshing touch. The cornbread was delicious, though I prefer it a bit sweeter and more cake-like; still, it was good in a traditional sense. But the star of the night was the prime rib--absolutely amazing! It was the Thursday special, cooked to a perfect medium rare. The bartender made excellent recommendations and provided fantastic service, even though they were slammed. I visited on Halloween night, and I loved that the staff got to dress up; it added to the spooky decor perfectly!

I recommend Voodoo for beignets! The beignets are flakey outside but moist and chewy inside. The chewy is in a perfect way!! Covered in powdered sugar! We all ordered our own which cane with 5. All of us ate atleast 4 of the 5! We couldnt stop eating them. So delicious!! As for the food? Average at best!! I only recommend the beignets and not the food. Cool vibe inside. Pirate-ish theme with a bar inside and outside! We were there on a Saturday night and it was barely 1/3 full! Shows that the food is not that good. Across the front door is Yardhouse and it was packed with people waiting outside!! Go to Voodoo for beignets you wont regret!! Best ive ever had. The food I rate at 2.5 stars. The beignets are 5 Stars

Our 92 yr old grandmother mentioned she hadn't had fried chicken or chicken sandwich in a long time and would like to have some so I found this place while looking for fried chicken in the area. There weren't a ton of fried chicken options in the area and judging from photos - this place seemed like it could be the yummiest option. The hostess mentioned while seating us that there's an 18% service charge automatically applied to the bill. I figured that was fine and about average anyways. But I will say that when the bill came our server mentioned that the 18% service charge does not go to her and we'd have to add an additional tip on top of that if we wanted to leave her a gratuity which I thought was kind of odd. We ordered the Caesar salad, chicken sandwich and the fried chicken & biscuit. The Caesar salad was good. I liked the roasted corn in it. The chicken sandwich was also yummy. The chicken did get soggy from the sauces but it still tasted good. The curly fries it came with were tasty. Nicely crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and seasoned nicely. The fried chicken and biscuit was good. I liked the type of crispy coating they had on it and the chicken was very moist. Definitely not overcooked which I was so glad about since I just wanted our grandma to have a nice meal outside of her retirement home. I do think that the crispy skin/coating could've been better with more seasoning though. Also the biscuit had great flavor but it was kinda dry and hard on the outside like it had been made early in the day and been sitting. It would be a lot yummier if it were more crisp and soft on the inside as opposed to hard, dry on the outside and firm inside. Overall I'm glad we came here. The food was good, our server was nice and our Mimi kept mentioning how good the food was. Even the leftovers she had for lunch the next day she kept mentioning how good it was.

Six words... Happy Hour, Happy Hour, Happy Hour!!! This place has one of THE BEST Happy Hours from four to seven! Most places end at 6. The food is delicious, bartenders are great, and I love the atmosphere. It's a perfect place to go before see a movie and it's Instagram photo ready. AND they have live music on the weekends. The oysters are chef's kiss, I dream about them sometimes... I can't wait to go back.

Voodoo Bayou is always a great spot for a good time with friends, recently attended a catering event for a company and the food is even great in large batches. The ambience gives and authentic New Orleans feel and the servers are quite attentive.

We stopped in for dinner on a recent weekend getaway. We had a marvelous experience. Our server Jen was top notch! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and offered excellent service. She was accommodating and very attentive. We look forward to returning again! The food was spectacular We also enjoyed the background music and the decor. Highly recommended

The best thing at Voodoo Bayou? The Famous Cornbread--and that not so generous butter portion served on the wooden platter deserved an award of its own. But after that... whew. The "flame-grilled" wings? Underwhelming. They looked raw but the manger claimed they'd been cooked for over 100 hoursor whatever.. The shrimp and grits came with beautifully seasoned, large shrimp, but the grits tasted like straight milk mixed with oatmeal, no flavor and no soul. Now let's talk about the carbonara. Dry and with PEAS.... And I'm a carbonara girly!!! BUT PEAS?? Why would you do that? The most enjoyable parts of my overpriced bill were the semi-clean restroom, my great server's customer service, and the lukewarm water. And don't get me started on the imitation lemonade that tasted like ade with no lemon... Save yourself the disappointment. Skip Voodoo Bayou and go to Wawa--grab a burger and a coconut lemonade and thank me later.

We come here regularly. Always love the food and drinks. We went there last week and our steak was raw in itself no big deal. We did not send it back or even say anything. The one bartender noticed we did not eat it and got manager we told her no big deal it was a one off. For some reason the bleach blond bartender got an attitude, we wanted coffee and dessert we were ignored for twenty minutes only 6 people at the bar. Then they gave us our check never asked if we wanted anything else. The food is awesome but this relatively new bartender is the reason we will never go back

The weather was perfect for an outdoor brunch date. I think if you go to a restaurant and your waitress' name is Kat, you're guaranteed excellent service because this is the second restaurant I had a young lady with that name be my waitress and she was soooo attentive, had great recommendations and just great overall conversation! Now, this is my second time eating here and, once again, the experience was amazing! Cajun meatballs was the appetizer and LET ME TELL YOU: yummy They were served with creamy, delicious grits! Definitely recommend! I had the Creole Mustard Salmon with vegetable white rice and a 4oz. crab cake. My companion had the redfish and bottomless mimosas. She was very satisfied with her meal! I give this restaurant a 12/10!!!!

Stopped in for lunch. This is in the pretty Downtown Palm Beach Gardens shopping complex near Whole Foods. The decor is reminiscent of New Orleans. The service was great. Jen B brought us refills of tea without us having to ask. We just got the $15 lunch special. We chose the chopped salad with pear and pecans and the half po'boys- blackened shrimp and fried oysters. Both half sandwiches came with 4 pieces of shellfish. I thought the oysters were delicious, but the bread and remoulade were okay. I definitely recommend spending the extra $5 to get the full sandwich; otherwise, this is a very light lunch.

I think my favorite thing was the gumbo, it was sooooo good. And my server Jenny was very attentive and nice and not to mention BEAUTIFUL. And the whole vibe of the place ate just like I did my food

Friday night, I just finished playing 18holes of golf with the boys and my wife tells me to meet her here since she is in the area for a work meeting. 8:45 I get here, and get a table for two almost straight away outside. I end up waiting longer than usual for a waiter to show up. I go to the hostess stand where Daniel says he will take care of me. And that's where things got turned around. He hooked me up with a free cornbread and beer for my troubles. After that I was convinced that this place was the place to be. My wife showed up and we placed a few more orders, just sticking to apps and dessert. Unfortunately, the I couldn't eat most of the wings because they were very undercooked but the smoked old fashioned filled the gap. We took some of the beignets home, which were also undone but everything was extremely fast after my complaint so I guess I can't fault them.

After a weekend wedding at a nearby resort, my group wanted one last meal before catching our flight back to New York. I did some searching on Yelp and all I saw was a sea of pizza restaurants, Italian food, and uninspired Asian fusion, until I came across this highly rated cajun spot. As we got there we realized we had less time than we initially planned for before our flight, so we popped a squat on some outdoor stools that faced the restaurant's service window-- a cool set up I've never seen in New York--and took in the fun atmosphere. So much of the menu was so tempting: crawdish etoufee, gumbo, and po boys. Our server told us po boys would be speediest, so we each ordered one. Mine was a crispy cornmeal battered oyster po boy, with a side of curly fries. I would've liked for something tart or crunchy to break up the one note fried batter I kept tasting from everything on my plate, but I was satisfied with my po boy alone. We shared a cup of gumbo, which was so good I wish we had time to stay for more. The meal wasn't quite transcendent, but our fast service and with the right seasoning this place hit the spot. The place conjured enough NOLA magic to send me home satisfied, if not spellbound.

Had a fantastic dinner at Voodoo Bayou. I had the salmon with creole mustard sauce and vegetable rice. Salmon was cooked perfectly and the rice was beyond ordinary. Husband had the redfish with red beans and rice and charred green beans. All were delicious. Also had the buttermilk biscuits- yum. And to top it off we got the beignets to go which were still warm when we got back to the hotel and were heavenly. Loved the dark, moody interior.

The ambiance in this restaurant was amazing, food and drink specials to match! I will absolutely be back again when in the area.

Voodoo Bayou in Palm Beach Gardens offers a cozy, warm vibe that's perfect for a night out. For an appetizer, my husband and I tried the BBQ shrimp, which was very fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced with a garlic and a one of a kind sauce -came out in a skillet. The bread paired with it was perfect. The drinks were equally impressive, with creative, well-balanced cocktails that complemented the meal. Our waitress, Casey, provided outstanding service--attentive, friendly, and efficient. She truly deserves a raise! For dinner, I chose the Cajun ribeye steak, which was beautifully cooked to medium-rare perfection. The steak was seasoned with a bold Cajun spice blend, served with a rich garlic butter sauce, and accompanied by cheesy grits. My husband ordered the shrimp po' boy, which featured crispy fried shrimp, lettuce and tomatoes. He rated it an 8.5/10. Overall, we loved the experience and will definitely be back!

Had dinner with the wife, decided to try some Voodoo. Did not disappoint! The staff were friendly and prompt, and the vibe in this restaurant is truly fantastic. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I thoroughly enjoyed dinner here. I happened to come on a Wednesday and was happy to know they have oyster happy hours on Wednesdays. The chargrilled oysters were soooo good ! And only $2.25 a piece on Wednesday. I ordered the cornbread which was really good. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp po boy which he enjoyed and said it was as really fresh. I got the catfish meal along with the gumbo which was just okay. The service and ambience was really nice. I wish I would have ordered the beignets but I was super full. I can't wait to come back here and try more dishes.

One of the standout features was the unique decorations that make you feel you're in New Orleans. Brady our server was amazing - He was attentive., friendly, and knowledgeable. He made sure we were well taken care of. To top it off there was like live music which just added to the ambiance. It's clear that they take pride in what they do. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend Voodoo Bayou to anyone.

I'll be honest I was very skeptical at first just because of the name. But let me tell you, this place completely surprised me! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were popping, and the ambiance had me feeling like I was right in the heart of New Orleans. I especially loved the indoor-outdoor vibe it gave the whole spot a chill but lively energy. The service was great, the atmosphere was on point, and I'll definitely be coming back. A hidden gem that totally exceeded my expectations!

Inside the restaurant is an awesome atmosphere and it smells amazing because the food and service are both amazing. The wow factor is huge at this restaurant. The interior design is awesome, the music is fantastic, the food was very innovative and delicious and the service was perfect. Our server, Chris was charming and informative about the cocktails & the food.

Melody provided such warm, attentive, and amazing service--she made us feel right at home. She was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, ensuring we had the best recommendations. Chef Victor went above and beyond by personally explaining how the BBQ shrimp was made, giving us a deeper appreciation for the dish. The attention to detail and passion for his craft truly shined through, making our meal even more special. Stopped into Voodoo Bayou for a quick drink and bite before a movie. The theming and ambiance in this spot is incredible. We sat at the bar and it has large stained glass that goes to the ceiling, giving a gothic cathedral feel to the bar area. Our bartenders were great and offered great customer service. I ordered an absolutely delicious espresso martini from their cocktail menu and was not disappointed! Beyond being a tasty cocktail it also had a little beignet as a garnish that was such an adorable touch! While the beignet was tasty, it had more of a croissant taste versus an authentic beignet, but it was still good. We also ordered the chicken wings which are smoked and they were huge! The smokiness was really good and the portions were great! This place is amazing all around and I would definitely recommend stopping in for their unique offerings.

Voodoo Bayou put a spell on my taste buds when I drove up to downtown Palm Beach Gardens for my friend Patty's annual end of summer UYE. It is located in a mall pretty close to I95 and has a lot of available parking, including a garage. For starters, they have a talented brass cover band that even serenaded a few other folks enjoying their birthdays. They have a great variety of Cajun and southern dinner specials such as the keto friendly Chicken & Waffles I enjoyed. Why keto? Well as you can see on the photo, there's a lot more chicken than waffle. I ended up enjoying the rest of it take out for dinner at home, augmented with a little bit of bbq sauce. That's the one thing that would have made it 5 stars - extra heat / spiciness. It was well portioned with juicy chicken and not just breaded. The waffle was decently fluffy as well. Their monkey bread - also a generous serving - was fluffy and well presented with a sprinkling of powdered sugar. It really does have banana flavor! Other than what I ordered myself, I got to sample a few of the yummy bites from my table mates including the fried green tomatoes & pork belly Carlos T (another 305'er!!) and the yummy cornbread Holly shared. Leah's recommendation on dressing up my monkey bread with the Smokey nuts and caramel sauce even better. Service was really pleasant and it has a fun vibe. I would definitely make the drive back up!

I hosted an UYE for brunch last Sunday and it was filled with amazing Yelpers from Miami to Port St. Lucie. It was a fabulous time and I'm happy that it was a great turnout :) The restaurant were able to accommodate our group to sit inside at a table. There are different drink options if the bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary's were selected. The brunch menu has a few different options to choose from and I went for the breakfast slam. I had two scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, hash brown potatoes and multigrain toast. The dish was ok for me. I felt like the potatoes could have used more seasoning on them and the eggs with a little more flavor as well. I was able to sample the gator tail, fried green tomato, and the monkey bread. All three of them were delicious. The waitress did a wonderful job with taking care of us. She broke up everyone's tabs and she even highlighted that the tip was included since there was a large group of us. The table was kept clean in between appetizers and our meals. There was even a brass band that provided entertainment during the brunch. Thanks to everyone again that came out to make this UYE so much fun :)

I have been wanting to try this place for so long! So I went in sat at the bar! Immediately was told I have to open a tab I barely ordered! I had cash but he demanded a card then told me please don't run out on me lol! The restaurant is beautiful. Drink was average I thought the cocktail would be better. I got the chargrilled oysters more like cheese with an oyster shell. The BBQ shrimp is not good. Experience overall was bad.

We came here for a special celebration dinner! This place is craft everything, beautiful blends of flavors and spices in every dish and drink! Voodoo Bayou is delicious Cajun food with authentic New Orleans flare. Happy hour is only at the bar unfortunately. We definitely recommend the gator appetizer, and jambalaya and etouffee! Alondra was an absolutely fantastic waitress.

Dinner here was actually an experience! Stepping into the scene of New Orleans with the atmosphere and spices and the absolutely beautiful cocktails it's charming and different than the normal Floridian fare. You have the gothic dark atmosphere with amazing New Orleans touches- matched by spicy entrees and awesome customer service. There is an 18% gratuity charge included in the bill, which was fine with us. But entrees are a bit more expensive than your typical Floridian fare.
