Beautiful event space with a grand cafe and a lovely roof terrace by DIAL Architects. The upstairs rooms are not open for viewing unless you are there for an event. The history is fascinating since this was a former socialist hall (now a cultural center). It was originally built in 1913.

I attended the Sparkle party a couple of weeks ago, and it was a really pleasant experience! The event was well-organized, with fast-moving queues, which made it easy to get in and enjoy the night. The drink prices were reasonable, and I appreciated the overall vibe of the place. The sound system was good, creating a fun atmosphere throughout the night. I had a great time there with friends.

Built in 1913, now a proud monument, De Vooruit is a great place to visit plays, rock concerts, debates and what-have-yous. The restaurant is beautiful mixture of art deco and art nouveau and modern styling. Food is simple, nice, authentically Belgian and far from expensive.
And when the sun is out, make sure to ascent to the terrace.

404 aka Vooruit is my favorite concert venue in Flanders. Small, cosy and well located in the centre of the city of Ghent.

One of the most awesome cafes in Ghent! Great to relax and hangout, but equally great to get some work done or have a business meeting. BTW: don't forget to check out the menu! Fresh ingredients and they have the best salads in town!
