"Reykjavík’s upscale Vox restaurant lies within the lobby of the Hilton Reykjavík Nordica hotel. Decorated in the same style as the hotel—which means a designthat is minimal but welcoming, with a color scheme of whites, beiges, and browns offset bypaper lanterns and wooden floors—the venue is split between a casual bistro offering a range of light meals and a formal restaurant with a more ambitious menu in the evenings—plusa popular lunchtime buffet serving hot and cold dishes spanning Mediterranean fare, sushi, and Indonesian-style curries. The à la carte dinner menu features New Nordic dishes includinglamb, fish, duck, and goose, with the option of a fixed-price, five-course seasonal servicethat can be accompanied by an impressive range of wine and champagne options from around the world."

We have been to VOX twice. Fish & Chips, and Beef (Special) have been good. If you are not downtown it’s a great choice for quality food!

First, the most important if you’re from the United States don’t get sticker shocked when you see the prices this menu I had a piece of fish that was 100 g with little tiny pieces of asparagus for $31. We had a hamburger with french fries for $34 They’re actually better at McDonald’s in the United States the menu says things are small, but I didn’t realize how small they really were. Don’t even think about drinking unless you wanna spend a lot of money on it but I understand all Iceland is this way, so be prepared.

Ordered lunch buffet, easter Friday, 18 april, price 7500 isk and it was great. Well worth the price. The food was delicious, it was all very classy, and I couldn't stop eating those desserts :) It was served meat, fish, veggies, sushi, desserts and astonishing ginger juice. The service worth the highest praise as well, both guy at the entrance named Guðni, people from kitchen and waiters/waitresses. Just a small remark from me. Although there was some amount of Icelandic food, I would love to see much more authentic Icelandic food since it's a restaurant at a Hotel where a lot of foreigners reside. I understand that probably owners think that Icelandic food is not fancy enough to be served here, but for me personally it would make my dining even better.

Good Atmosphere Car parking is free and big. Not in downtown but not too far.

Just as any other hotel restaurant in Iceland, prices are abolutely out of control, but you'll soon find out that's juste the rule over there. The shellfish soup might be the best fish soup I ever had. My husband on the other hand was very disappointed with the T BOne, as even though the cooking and sauce was incredible, the meat was nowhere near tender, and was full of nerves, just poor quality.

I’m surprised by the reviews here complimenting breakfast but not dinner. I’ve had both here - breakfast was solid; a decent spread with mangoes for your Icelandic yogurt, smoked lamb, and some other nice touches - but nothing extraordinary. Service was ok. Dinner though - service, presentation, food - everything was great. Ribeye could’ve been a tad more tender but lamb and burrata were excellent. Outstanding service too!

I got try it for dinner and breakfast. The breakfast absolutely amazing!!!! But the dinner, If you like taste rich of everything this is the restaurant you can try but we don’t really like it that much. The taste is good but when you keep eating, the foods were too thick and rich. We got lamb steak and it just only comes with the lamb and sauce. Lamb is good tender and wine sauce paired perfectly with it but you have to order side dish separately and the price is too expensive. The salad is too plain not enough dressing but you can ask for more. The mushroom soup is too thick. Overall I would recommend just breakfast….

We had dinner here on our trip to Iceland. It was so delicious! We had unique foods like horse and plaise, and it was incredibly delicious. The server was such a friendly young woman as well, and really helped us to make great selections we'd enjoy. Best of all, she picked the best wine to pair with each course, and it really was perfect. Our only complaint was just how shockingly expensive it all was. Like, $300 for two people for 2 apps and 2 entrees, plus wine pairings. But, hey, it's vacation, so go for it!
