This was our third stay at Voyager Beach Hotel, and overall, it was a good experience. Check-in was seamless, which set a positive tone from the start.
The rooms are a bit dated, though some have been renovated. A bit more attention to dusting as minor shower renovations would improve comfort. That said, Anderson, our room attendant, was gracious, professional, and attentive, which we truly appreciated.
The managers and staff at the main restaurant were consistently warm and friendly. A special mention to Olivia, one of the managers, who was hands-on—clearing and wiping tables herself and truly leading by example.
The food was okay—not the best, but satisfactory. Breakfast is the same most days. Would have loved to see more Swahili-themed days, which would add great local flavor to the experience.
Entertainment-wise, “Michael” Jackson was fantastic—very engaging and made the pool activities so much fun. One area for improvement: lifeguards at the main “fun” pool should remain vigilant and avoid distractions such as phone use, as drowning accidents can happen very quickly.
We keep coming back mainly because of the wonderful kids’ club. Our little ones had an amazing time, and a huge shout-out to the kids’ club team—Jackson, Takesha, Precious, Rebecca, Tabitha, James, and Happy—for their energy, care, and dedication.
Overall, we would recommend Voyager Beach Hotel, especially for families with young children. Can’t wait for all rooms to be renovated!
