After a 2 night stay I changed my mind and actually walked away quite impressed. It's not 5 star but offers value for people and the facilities are actually excellent. Only big negative is reception closes at 8 and this caused 1 issue and could cause issues for others. For the sake of paying someone to be on reception till midnight it would be worth their wage. Yes a little dated but when you look at great facilities and the free parking is makes it a pretty decent place. I recommend

We did not have a good experience with this hotel during the stay in Auckland. A terrible room with water hammering noise made at night and the room smelled due to plumbing issue. We did advise the staff but was told they will come and repair with no action at all. Services level not up to standard with no timely replenishment of bath products. We do understand it’s not a high class hotel but considering the room price, it’s definitely not worth the value and we do not recommend a stay over here.

I have visited the hotel a few times and my reviews are never good but this time I can actually say we had a great stay. New friendly front desk staff as well as the staff during happy hour was there the whole time and super friendly. Our room and balconies was clean and lovely for a change. Happy to have been able to give a better review this time.

The building outside and inside need maintenance. The rooms are fine. The view of Auckland city and Harbour bridge are amazing. The service at breakfast wasn’t up to standard. Flies were sitting on the food. There are no lids to protect the food from this. There were no hot breakfast in the containers left. We had to ask for it and had to wait several minutes for it.

On arrival there was no one on the desk and the outer doors were locked, sign on wall stated to ring door bell and someone would answers, this was not the case we had to call another number we had on our paperwork which after a 23hrs flight just added to the stress of things. Once in we found our room key on the front desk with a note saying to sign it and follow up in the morning as the front desk is manned between 8am to 8pm...the room was well equipped and spacious however lots of stains on carpets and shower cubicle was mouldy so maintenance not at the top of there list. Not much in the way of staff to liaise with so judt a place to rest your head and move on the next day.

It is perfect if you are looking for a private self serviced apartment type stay. Quiet neighborhood not unlike other. Would recommend to have a car as all amenities are bit far. The rooms and fixings are a bit aged but kept in good condition

Nice view and friendly staff, I feel bad for leaving a bad review but it wasn't their fault - mostly. Room was okay, photos were misleading on quality and the bed was uncomfortable. My friend and I asked the receptionist if the food was good and she said "yes, it was." Oh golly how wrong she was... I'm not a picky eater, so this is really saying something... We both ordered steaks $30-40 each. The steak was a weird texture like it had been frozen or super old. The mushrooms were most definitely from a can. Lettuce was old and withered - it wasn't edible. The breakfast was just as bad, dont bother paying extra for it. Basically I wouldn't stay again.

Was very surprised with this little Gem. I have lived in Auckland well over 40 years and never knew this place existed. What I found interesting is that all the staff were Indians, and the men did majority of the work. Food was okay, would be nice though if they made some Indian meals. Very nice customer service, friendly and helpful.
