Vulcano Gelato Rye

You can’t go to RYE without going to “Vulcano” it’s unheard of 🤭 (for any ice creamaholic anyway)… Situated in the Main Street directly across the road from the jetty, this Gelateria is in prime real estate 👌🏾 The service is always great, friendly & patient staff, happy to let you taste as many flavours as your heart desires. Plenty of flavours to choose from & they also serve Brioche & Granita & fresh Cannoli - what more could you ask for 🤌🏽 = just like being in Sicily 🇮🇹 Buonissimo! I opted for the Baileys & the taste of Sicily, both deliciously creamy & rich with flavours. Never disappoints 🍦

This is the best ice cream shop I’ve been to in Australia! The workers are all really nice, there are so many flavours to choose from and the scoops are really generous. The two flavours I’ve tried are pistachio and tiramisu which I both highly recommend. (The picture is a single scoop of tiramisu ice cream in a cone)

Great range of quality ice cream and gelato. Can be very busy here at times so choose your time outside of peak otherwise you'll be waiting in line for a while. You pay first and take a ticket and present it to the service person, a little clunky but would work well when busy. Its a must visit and still worth waiting in line if need be.

Four of my friends and I got ice cream last night and the atmosphere was fantastic. The staff were lovely, they even saw us dancing through the window and turned up the music as well as queued songs for us to sing along to. Thank you lovely people! :)

This is the holy pinnacle of Gelato. I’ve been all over Europe (including Italy) and Vulcano is hands down the best Ice Cream / Gelato shop I’ve ever tried. Their signature flavour (Vulcano and The Taste of Sicily) is something else. Please try their ice cream - you won’t be disappointed! The prices are great and staff are friendly! Just to finish, this SHOULD be voted #1 Gelato on the peninsula - please vote if you can.

This place is an absolute MUST if you are ever in Rye. Fantastic selection of flavours and absolutely delicious. In the summer months the queues are incredible which shows the popularity and quality of it. There are other gelato places within Rye, but none that I have come across quite match Vulcano.

This ice cream shop is one of the best I’ve been to! There are so many flavours to choose from, and the staff are so lovely! Definitely recommend the blood orange flavour 🤤

The best all in one stop in the peninsula! Ice cream, donuts and coffee is 100% satisfyingly delicious! Great staff, super friendly and accommodating. Relaxing environment.

Heard so many great reviews about this place.. and I certainly was not disappointed! The place has heating.. so perfect for a winters day when you are craving great italian gelato! Flavours are amazing natural explosions you need to taste! I had the Hazelnut which I'll definitely be back for! A friend had the chocolate and mango which she smashed in no time. Met Marie and Vince who are the owners of this family run business! They've been here for 8yrs and are do friendly and passionate about all things gelato, cakes, crepes and even make their own doughnuts! Come check it out peeps - be warned.. lines are long in summer but this place will have you coming back for more!
