The museum dedicated to Samuel Bak is a treasure to tell the stories of many people related to the holocaust, those who perished, those sho survived, and those who helped people escape. I enjoyed the section on Jewish Boy Scouts in Lithuania. The museum offers a 15 minute video to sum up the life of Samuel Bak, who discovered artist talent with an exhibit of his artwork at age 9. His story of Growing up and living thru the holocaust is a great base for the stories of others. Bak went on the study Art in France, Israel and USA. His artwork work gives hope thru the oppression. The museum also houses works by other artists with another floor of artwork under construction. We spent two hours reading the stories of theses people and the video in English with another video in Lithuanian. All displays are in Lithuanian and many are also in English. This is an organized, tasteful museum that shows hope after oppression. Several floors. Elevator available.

I went for the Samuel Bak exhibition, which was really nice. This museum has multiple floors, but it doesn’t take long to go through everything. They have student tickets, but I have forgotten what I paid. It is definitely worth taking a trip here if you are nearby. The paintings were very interesting and the usage of colors were nice. Some of the paintings reminded me of the optic illusions, which was a bit unexpected for me.

Great exhibition of Samuel Bak’s paintings. His first exhibition was at Vilna Ghetto at the age 9, he survived in Holocaust. He painted powerful and thought-provoking works of art. Bak's paintings has surreal and dreamlike elements with realistic depictions of objects and Jewish people. The museum shows great interviews with Bak (in English).

Fantastic museum! Very much enjoyed visiting it. They have an art section with works of Samuel Bak and info about his life, and an extensive exhibition about the history of Jewish life in Lithuania. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They also have some other exhibitions, for example one with streets in Tel Aviv named after Lithuanians. Highly recommended!

It was a nice museum. The paintings were great. I wouldn't consider it to be a must visit but if you are here for more than 2 days then I'd suggest you give it a try.

Renamed recently to the Museum of Samuel Bak, whose paintings are exhibited. And those made a great impression on me! I do recommend.
