We had dinner here with friends. The food was delicious and the room spacious and yet familiar. We had a great time. Thanks!

I really enjoyed this restaurant, the staff were great, we had a laugh when I received an alcohol free beer by accident, the setting in the courtyard is pleasant, the food was typically greek tavern. Prices were good.

A new favorite restaurant for me in Athens. I often visit twice per day. The food is wonderful with several excellent daily specials. Nikos, Alexis, and Vasilas are lovely servers who are friendly, attentive, and always willing to make suggestions. Minimalistic, yet elegant taverna I highly recommend.

Behind Kallimarmaro in Athens lies a hidden gem that offers a dining experience almost as enchanting as a Mediterranean sunset. Vyrinis, with its minimalistic yet elegant ambiance, is a delightful ode to Greek cuisine. The charred oyster mushrooms truly stand out. Its smoky aroma and texture create a captivating symphony of flavour that is reminiscent of grilled calamari. With each bite, the char on the edges adds a delightful crunch, perfectly complementing the earthy essence of the mushroom. The house salad is an exemplary interpretation of the traditional Greek salad. Bursting with freshness, this vibrant medley of crisp croutons, juicy tomatoes, and creamy feta cheese is elevated by the harmonious blend of tangy olive oil and zesty mustard dressing. Every bite is a celebration of the vibrant flavour that Greek cuisine is renowned for.

One of the best restaurants I've ever visited. Amazing service, fantastic food and a truly Greek atmosphere. The feta cheese filo pastry with honey starter was just amazing. Cannot recommend enough.

Of our five days in Athens this was our favorite meal (except for the Michelin starred Spondi which isn’t a fair comparison). My vegetarian wife and daughter were ecstatically happy. If we weren’t leaving Athens in the morning we would be back.

We did take out from here. The staff was extremely friendly, helping to identify what was vegetarian and making great suggestions as to what to get. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It has outdoor and indoor areas and beautifully decorated. Everything we had was flavorful and perfectly done. Portions are the perfect size. I would happily return!

Looking for an authentic Greek taverna experience in Athens?** Vyrinis in Pangrati is a great choice. We dined there as a group of six in September 2024, and it was a truly enjoyable evening. The restaurant offers classic Greek dishes made with quality ingredients, delivering the comforting flavors of traditional Greek cuisine. The service was good and added to the authenticity of the experience. Set on a calm street, away from the bustling noise of Athens, the ambiance was serene, complete with the sounds of cicadas, white tables, and Greek music. It felt like a quintessential Greek taverna. The value for money was reasonable, much like other tavernas in Greece. A little Mediterranean delight that's definitely worth a visit.
