Overall, a very enjoyable stay. The beach, while not private, feels secluded and wasn't crowded. It’s just a short walk from the hotel, with drink /food service and chairs provided. I took my coffee there in the mornings and rarely saw someone else. The waves aren’t ideal for boogie boarding (which my kids wanted and we ended up traveling to Tamarindo for a day trip to do boogie boarding), but the water is perfect for swimming. Further down, the beach is almost entirely made of small shells!||Book restaurant reservations early. Even in the off-season, it can get busy. Don’t miss Latitude 10 N Restaurant—the service was outstanding, and the food was exceptional. My 14-year-old son said it is his favorite meal ever (steak!), and they even crafted him a one-of-a-kind mocktail based on his likes! The breakfast buffet was also amazing -- we only tried it one day due to the price, but it was incredible. (Tip: restaurant service—especially in the morning—can be slow if you don’t do the buffet, so plan accordingly if you have an excursion.)||Some reviews mentioned small rooms, but didn’t find the rooms small at all. While more hooks and luggage storage would be helpful, the space was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with a separate toilet, and the shower—huge with dual shower heads—was a standout, though families may want to note that it’s open to the rest of the bathroom which wasn't ideal for sharing a bathroom with your family.||Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. It does feel a bit like a standard all-inclusive, but the hospitality, beach and excellent dining at Latitude 10 made it memorable. And there are many activities to do while you are there (my husband did the rum tasting and I did paddle board yoga)!
