W Koh Samui

We had a week long, amazing stay at the W Koh Samui. Service levels are impeccable and “whatever, whenever” philosophy is evident throughout. We stayed at one of the beachside villas which I’d highly recommend if you are looking for quick access to a high quality beach with a private pool. The W beach is standout with the ability to see both sunrise and sunset clearly. Given its on a small peninsula you can also get shelter from the wind regardless of which direction its blowing (predominantly was a mild easterly during our stay). Food was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was the best Ive had. We also loved the Sip Bar on the beach - special thanks to Ting who works at the bar and was always friendly and up for a chat. The layout of the resort is great, with a bit of elevation allowing for sweeping views from the restaurant and main resort pool. The onsite spa is of very high quality and has a large sauna which is free to use. I also think W is located well within Koh Samui - not too far away from the main tourist attractions (Fishermans Village just down the road). If you are looking for a luxury escape to Koh Samui, I highly recommend the W!

Please allow me to express my gratitude to the amazing W Koh Samui during our stay between 18–19/01/26.||||Our tropical island paradise journey had begun incredibly after the notification message that our room was ready & upgraded rang from the welcome manager. And I could not forget the wide and welcoming smile of the middle-aged gentleman at the first gate. We immediately got out of the entrance confusion!!||||We were beautifully greeted by Khun Mo & the bellman team from the first step at W. The express, professionally assisted luggage service & valet was remarkable!!||||The welcome drink was so pretty in detail, with a meaningful combination. The full-step check-in by Khun Oum, from the desk to the bed, could surely be the key to achieving the very high standard of the Marriott brand categories.||||We were surprisingly approached by the Sip Bar team and guided to the best sunset location, with beach mattresses set up comfortably and beach towels covered by the black-shirt brother. The Namu team nailed our dinner proficiency in both menu recommendations and culinary creation. Very good vibe & atmosphere at Woo Bar, with the perfect seat for the fire show. Also, the breakfast line and local dishes were warmly informed by the sister and the team at Kitchen Table.||||We could not forget and would like to thank these two gentlemen for the natural conversation. First, Khun Aof & team, who were always ready for in-house escorts. Second, the brother from the FIT team, who nicely cheered us up and boosted our energy at the Thai boxing class.||||Lastly, thank you very much indeed to the W Koh Samui team & property for this unforgettable occasion to stay. Please note, you are another important piece along our love journey. Especially the front office team, from room arrangement till the check-out session — brilliant!!! Such an incredible hotel! One of most favorite W’s we have stayed at. Was upgraded to beachfront villa on our last night and such a stunning room! Breakfast buffet was amazing everyday. Will definitely be returning!

The reason why booked this hotel because it is close to the golf course we’d visit pretty much everyday. The first thing my kids mentioned was that the hotel looks older than the previous one we had stayed at and they wanted to go back to that one. However, just after one day, this has become my kids FAVOURITE hotel ever. It all the staff and service~. All the staff are so pleasant and helpful, everyone really went out of their way to assist with anything and everything! My son ended up crying the night before and on the day we checked out because he really didn’t want to leave and understandably so! Although some of furniture are a bit worn and dated, everything else compensated for this. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the staff always remembered our drink orders. Can’t miss the fire show at the bar, that was super fun to watchA shout out to Mak, who would always drive us to and from everywhere around the hotel with always the most upbeat attitude, biggest smile and playing the best jams in his buggy! I guess it’ll be nice if the hotel offered kids amenities such as slippers, toothbrush etcOther than that it was perfect.We enjoyed this trip so much, on the night we arrived back home, we booked our next trip back to this hotel again in Feb of next year!

Dear Manager, I am writing to formally express my outrage at the treatment my companion and I received today at W Koh Samui. While waiting for our room to be ready, we decided to visit the beach resort area and stop by the bar at approximately 11:23 a.m., when the venue was not busy. Instead of being welcomed as guests of your hotel, we were shockingly and aggressively forced to leave by two bartenders. Their manner was rude, humiliating, and completely inappropriate for an establishment of your caliber. We were made to walk all the way around the property to retrieve our bags and were left with no choice but to leave the resort immediately. I never would have imagined that a hotel such as W Koh Samui would allow its staff to treat guests in such a disgusting and disrespectful way. This incident has cost you two customers today. The behavior demonstrated by those two bartenders is unacceptable and reflects extremely poorly on your brand. Staff members who interact with guests should embody professionalism, courtesy, and hospitality—none of which were present in this situation. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and investigated promptly. I would also appreciate a response outlining what actions will be taken to address this incident, including appropriate disciplinary measures and steps to ensure no other guests are subjected to similar treatment in the future. I am extremely disappointed and look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. Sincerely,

Never wanted to leave! We cancelled all our day plans and stayed in the Villa, enjoyed room service (in the floating tray too!). Breakfast and restaurant was great. What was really amazing were the staff - we are so grateful for the warm welcome! They always introduced themselves and remembered our preferences 🫶🏼 the best hotel we stayed at in Koh Samui!

This is my second stay at a W after I stayed in Bali and it was every bit the experience I could have hoped for. We got upgraded to a beach villa and it was insane being a few steps away from a small private beach. Our villa was absolutely stunning. Huge ceilings, marble countertops, an outdoor shower, a nice big comfy bed, an outdoor private pool, it really had it all. My girlfriend and I loved just chilling in our room watching the time go by. The staff are some of the most attentive and kind people in any resort I've ever stayed at. They were attentive, remembered my name, and always tried to go above and beyond in their service. Thailand is known for its hospitality but the staff at the W are on another level. We loved our "room stylist" cha-cha who added some cute touches to our room every day and always kept us stocked with water and fresh towels. It was like a sixth sense she had to know when we needed something. The food quality and selection at breakfast was amazing. There is food you can order from the menu which in addition to the food at the buffet line will have you trying new things every day. Not to mention the fresh delicious coconuts 😋 The location is perfect, not too far from the airport and it's situated at one of the few points of the island you can catch a direct view of both the sunrise and the sunset. We were treated to beautiful sunsets every day that we couldn't believe our eyes. My girlfriend and I are already seriously planning a trip back and will be sure to stay at the W again. What an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience!

Our family had a magnificent time at the W in Koh Samui. Definitely wasn’t long enough, but we felt amazing for 3 days there! The staff were delightful, my massage was sublime and the food, beach, pool fire show, and hospitality was 100% every day! Loved it, kids wanted to stay longer!! Thank you for making it such a wonderful trip.
