Incredible resort. Even on a small island near full capacity it felt like we always had the beach entirely to ourselves. Service was outstanding across the board. Staff were extremely prompt and responsive, and everyone was genuinely enthusiastic and welcoming. The overwater villa was gorgeous and comfortable enough to spend the entire day in without ever feeling bored. Food was excellent; great breakfast options and very high-quality dining at the restaurants. Bonus highlights: we spotted sharks right from the shoreline, and the marine life while snorkling is unreal. The house reef is no joke and easily one of the trip’s standout features. Special shoutout to: Claire, Calissa, Aiham, Isse, and Chippu for going above and beyond and making our stay unforgettable.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. It’s a beautiful island with turquoise water just like in the pictures. The staff was very welcoming, and the food was delicious. We were there in early January, and there were a lot of Russians; they even hosted an event featuring a Russian singer. We were hoping for a more local experience, and we didn’t travel all the way to the Maldives to attend a Russian show.

It’s been awhile since I posted anything but I had to do this one.||We spent a few days at W Maldives to celebrate my wife’s birthday and I left genuinely impressed, not just by the island itself but by the people who run it. Christian and his entire team went all out for us. Every little detail felt intentional and warm, and the birthday surprises and wishes were beyond what we expected.||Being in the service industry myself, the trip hit differently. I had time to sit back and watch how hard it actually is to run a place like this. The resort is stunning, yes, but the magic is in the staff constantly navigating impossible expectations. Guests complaining too hot, too cold, weather not perfect, food too slow, food too fast, too bland, too spicy, drunk guests, entitled guests—you name it. Yes, it’s a luxury resort, but money clearly doesn’t buy class or basic manners these days. Yet the team handled everything with patience and grace.||What really stood out is that despite the chaos some guests can bring, the staff still showed up every day with genuine smiles and a willingness to do more. They’re the reason this place feels like paradise, not the villas or the ocean (as incredible as both are).||A special mention for the Away Spa—it’s a must-try. Probably one of the best spa experiences I’ve had anywhere.||Thank you again to Christian and everyone at W Maldives - you’re the heart of the island. We just came back from W Maldives and honestly, it was one of those trips that stays with you long after you’ve unpacked. The place is beautiful, yes, but what really sets it apart is the people running it.||Christian, the resort manager and the entire W Maldives team deserves real credit and they reflect that energy. There’s no forced formality or scripted “luxury hotel” behaviour. It’s real Maldivian hospitality delivered with so much heart that you can’t help but appreciate it.||A quick shoutout to the watersports crew: do the activities. Just do them. I know some people come to Maldives thinking they’ll just lounge around, but the sea sports team makes the whole experience so much more fun. They know the ocean, they know what suits different guests, and they somehow make you feel both safe and adventurous at the same time. Money will be well spent.||And then there’s the spa 🤩. Steffi, the spa manager, is something else 🥰. She runs an amazing program, and her team is genuinely skilled — not the typical hotel spa experience where everything feels generic. These treatments stands out and are the kind that reset your entire mood. If you’re coming here, don’t skip the spa. It’s worth carving out time for.||Food-wise, we were pleasantly surprised. Every restaurant team we interacted with was warm, attentive, and real — not stiff, not overbearing. The meals felt thoughtfully prepared and decent, and the staff made us feel like we were regulars, even though it was our first visit. It’s those small touches that make a resort feel special rather than just expensive.||All in all, our stay felt wonderful because everyone we met genuinely cared about making it special. Christian and his team made the whole place feel alive, not just polished. If you’re looking for a luxury Maldives experience that still feels personal, grounded, and full of heart, W Maldives is exactly that. Highly recommended

We just returned from W Maldives, and this trip felt truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived at our overwater villa, everything exceeded expectations.||The Best House Reef in the Maldives||If you love snorkeling, this is the resort you are looking for. The reef is unreal — vibrant, full of life, and incredibly accessible. We were lucky enough to find the famous turtle Bob and spent almost an hour swimming alongside her. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our lives.||Food||Every dish we had was excellent: fresh, beautifully presented, and prepared with a lot of creativity and care.||Fred’s Birthday Celebration||We celebrated Fred’s birthday here, and the team made it exceptional. Every detail was thoughtful, personal, and beautifully executed. They spent time talking with us, sharing stories, and explaining how they approach cocktail development through sustainability. It was inspiring and impressive. For Russian guests he played the tracks that made everyone stand up and dance, and he did the same for guests from India. He creates a full musical atmosphere tailored to the people around him. Very impressive work.||Adel — Snorkeling Guide||Adel shared a wealth of knowledge about marine life and made our snorkeling experience educational and unforgettable. His energy and enthusiasm were remarkable.||Aarti||She assisted us with padel tennis, explained everything clearly, and was very supportive. When my fiancé twisted his ankle, she immediately came to help and even sent a fruit platter as a thoughtful gesture. She is also an excellent yoga instructor — calm, skilled, and attentive.||Fayaz — Service Above and Beyond||Fayaz made our stay truly exceptional. He helped me organize a birthday surprise for Fred with incredible care. But the moment that stood out the most was when Fred mentioned he really wanted chocolate bars, which were not available in our minibar. Somehow, Fayaz managed to find an entire selection of them, beautifully wrapped in W branding, and delivered them to our villa as a surprise.||This level of service was genuinely above and beyond anything we expected. It reflects true dedication and a deep understanding of hospitality.||⸻||Final Thoughts||W Maldives is not just a resort. It is a place filled with heart, extraordinary service, and unforgettable experiences. The reef, the food, the atmosphere, and above all, the staff made this one of the best trips of our lives.||We would return without hesitation

W Maldives was truly incredible. Their service was seamless, from the moment they picked us up at the airport until the time we checked out and assist us with our departure flight . Everything was so well thought out. The resort itself is paradise — beautiful in every corner. Snorkeling quickly became our favorite activity, and it was so easy to spot sea turtles every day. As a Titanium member, I was touched by the way the team greeted me by name and made me feel so special. I want to thank everyone at the resort — literally every staff member we encountered had a smile on their face, radiating warmth and genuine care. Great job, W Maldives! I’ve never had such an amazing experience. You truly made our trip unforgettable.

A gorgeous small island, you can walk around the entire island in 10 minutes. ||Having visited the Maldives many times in the past, we loved the W as it’s newly renovated and immaculate. ||We went for the beach villa as prefer direct access to the beach and it was perfect. Large comfy bed with sheets like satin, sofa area and straight outside to plunge pool, seats etc. Plus an upper area with large hammock style sewing great for relaxing on those rainy days. The bathroom is semi outside and features a free standing bath. Shower excellent, sparkling clean and new and lovely bath products. |There is a portable sound link speaker provided in room so you can connect your phone and have your own music - great touch. ||The music around the resort is brilliant, very chilled and creates a good vibe. ||There are free soft drinks in the mini fridge in room (and juices) and dotted around the beach villas are fridges you can help yourself to the soft drinks and also clean towels. Also note that water is all bottled onsite and is free so you don’t have to pay for water at lunch or dinner. This is great as many resorts we’ve stayed at charge crazy prices for water. ||All food was excellent from the breakfast with plentiful choice of fruit, smoothies, juice, eggs to order, Maldivian curries, fancy sweets treats. We ate at FISH and Fire. Particularly enjoyed Fish as you could choose the catch of the day with sides and we were able to sit outside one night when there was finally no rain! You can sit and see the sharks from your table. ||We did the dj pool party which was fun and got several people out and about and chatting. ||The reef is the best I’ve ever seen. There are thousands of different fish, a resident turtle and several shark. The mask snorkel and flippers are all new and top quality making snorkelling easy. ||The gym and workout area is great. Special thanks to Mark for the killer hiit sessions! And general chats and friendliness. ||We loved it. Go for it!
