Wadi Shab Resort

My wife and I were the first guests to stay when the hotel opened. You could still smell the fresh paint in the room. Hoping to return in the near future.

We tried to book directly by the hotel but due to “7 days in adance 100% down payment by bank tranfer policy” we ended up booking by “booking.com” and saved this way €100,-. We ordered ice & waited 1 hour for ice cubes. Food buffet is ok but limited choice. No alcoholic drinks. Waiters not trained. Rooms are nice but smelly. Nice view.

After reading most of the reviews, we still came to Wadi Shab Resort given it’s ideal situation, but with very low expectations.|And we ended up having a very nice stay (1 night)||The deluxe room was large, the bed massive and the view/setting is very nice and staff was very nice/helpful. Food was plentiful||Yes of course, it’s more motel standards than hotel standards, with the bathrooms being average, the details not perfect (for example mini bar/fridge was empty and not plugged in), but overall we had a nice stay.

Is very nice located but way too expensive with very poor small rooms with barely working water pressure. So getting the soap out of your hair might be a struggle. Has a very nice beach with small but fine size sand beach. Dinner and breakfast is really not even a 2 star worth. The new management needs to remodel soon otherwise....

We came during a monsoon, had pulled off toad bc weather so dangerous, they had no power and we were soaking wet. Without reservations, in blowing wind, wet- the three gentlemen came out and helped us get in. They cooked us dinner by candle and were so kind. The rooms aren’t fancy, but we had a gorgeous view and their kindness made up for it!

A hotel is undergoing maintenance work and any normal owner would close it for the time being. But not this one. We were not informed about the maintenance when we made reservation and were very disappointed with our stay. For comparison for the same amount of money paid here for one night (125€/night) we stayed for two nights in Hilton in Muscat and for just 20€ more one night in Kempinski Muscat with breakfast. And here we felt scammed consider the price. No swimming pool. No wifi not even in reception or “restaurant”. And the noise from old A/C in the room was so disturbing we switched rooms in the middle of the night. And considering the staffs reaction we weren’t the first guests to have done that. The staff is trying their best in the situation but that just isn’t enough. To sum up the things. Too much money to sleep in a construction site. Avoid as long as the works are not finished!

We got completely scammed on the price for this place. If you can pay less than 100usd than maybe it’s ok to stay, anything more than that no. |It’s a two star hotel, and the service and amenities show that. This is fine if you are being charged 2 star prices. But we were charged 220usd a night and they have nothing to offer except the view which there are other hotels that can offer the same. |Only stay if you get a decent price and have low expectations.

Resort Maintenance is poor and sub-standard. People who manage the resort is good and accommodative but will have to improve on the food quality and service part. Otherwise a great place to spend family time at the Pebble beach in the beautiful green waters. The Sea view from the rooms is amazing.
