"I got a coffee at Wafels & Dinges, and my husband got hot chocolate at a stall called No Chewing Allowed! They sell chocolate truffles that melt in your mouth — literally no chewing — so we bought some of those to eat too."

What a great coffee! Such a great place, nice terrace and tables on The square, coffee was really good and they have plenty of options, sweet things and champagne! Service IS good and fast!

I’ve been stopping here and enjoying their waffles with speculoos (cookie butter) for years! I had the pleasure of working just down the block front them and they make for a great little treat. They’ve brought the speculoos or cookie butter over to us from Europe long before Trader Joe’s and other markets carried it locally. ** New addition to my review after receiving a shipment of theirs. The presentation is lovely, the items were packaged and handled with care. I highly recommend ordering from them, they do a great job with packaging your items well. The waffles (or wafles as they list) are delicious, the Belgian pearl sugar they use really caramelizes beautifully when you heat the waffles, the aroma wafts through your whole home and the scent is intoxicating. The spekuloos is my favorite but they also have the delicious dulce de leche and milk chocolate spread, keep your own whipped cream handy if you’re so obliged, not that these need any more dressing up.

I was excited to try the pastries at this elegant spot during my morning coffee run, but was sorely disappointed. The prices were exorbitant 🫨😲, and the quality did not match the cost at all. I ordered an Almond Croissant 🥐 , and it was incredibly dry and stale😠. At $5.99, it was completely overpriced. Frankly, I wouldn't even want it for free. This was my first and likely last visit to this establishment. It was a thoroughly underwhelming experience.

Easy to order and our drinks and food came quickly. Luz was friendly and explained available options. A great spot for a treat.

Google
I usually get the waffles alone or with a scoop of ice cream- the waffles are so good. I’ve been going since about 2019 lol. The workers never look happy to be there but never rude. Overall, I’d recommend.

Fabulous treat this evening! Great coffee, delicious hot chocolate and oh my days, the strawberry shortcake waffle 🧇 😋 yum yum yum. Thanks guys for a real treat 🥰

Google
Amazing Waffles! The fruit was fresh, the toppings were generous and their fudge sauce is out of this world.

Google

Yelp
Rating them for their hot chocolate As cold as it was yesterday all my Daughter and i needed was something that was nice and hot to warm us up. Not sure why i thought this would be the best hot chocolate. And to others it might be. But in all honesty we couldnt even finish it. Its not bad. Its just the thickness makes it not appetizing . Definitely need water after u drink one of these. Not to mention almost $16 for two hot cocoa. Yikes! Maybe in the near future i could try their waffles. Maybe you'll love their hot chocolate. I can only speak on behalf of us. Based on the photos it looks like this one is located in bryant park. You order to go but around the area theirs lots of seating depending what time u go you might get lucky getting a seat.

Yelp
We actually stopped by the Union Square Holiday Market and my s/o recommended I try the s'mores waffle since he loves this establishment. The wafel was amazing! I am definitely going to try another one next time we stop by!
google avatar

Hannah K.

Yelp
Quick sweet treat in Harold Square! I opted for the Churro wafel. It was topped with a thick and rich dulce de leche caramel, and then cinnamon sugar and powdered sugar. No complaints here except the amount of calories!
google avatar

Yelp
My friends and I stopped here for a snack! Waited around 15 minutes for our food, plenty of place to stand around the booth to eat. Got a waffle with whipped cream and strawberries. Batter was really good and sweet! Good sweet snack to share with a couple people.

Daniela E.

Yelp
Best hot chocolate EVER!!! Customer service amazing, they're so sweet like their waffles . I loved the churro waffle

Yelp
Waffle & Dinge at Macy's Herald Square came to our rescue after a long, busy 7 hours in the kitchen. The WMD - Wafel Of Massive Deliciousness was exactly what we needed. It not only satisfied our taste buds but also brought smiles to our faces. A sweet break in front of Macy's, making the wait for her friend much more delightful. Waffle & Dinge, you turned our tired day around with your delicious waffle magic!
google avatar

Yelp
Yes! Most certainly a must-do! Right there in Herald Square, by I remember correctly ...Loved our orders! We were looking for creative crafty waffles and got exactly that. The taste is delicious, too, pleasant service and clean environment. And we found outdoor sitting in the park by Wafels & Dinges. So glad we came back to patronize this place. Try it when you're in town. The servers are personable and courteous, too! Mother's Day well spent with Child of Mine #COM

Yelp
For a $16 waffle, this isn't the best. The aroma that comes out of this stand is so good and caught my partner and I's attention so we decided to stop by. Unfortunately the waffle did not live up to the hype. The waffle itself tasted very off and what saved it was it's texture. It was soft and chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside -- sort of like a mochi waffle. The ice cream tasted kind of flat. It was like eating just frozen milk with no sweetness to it. The chocolate was also kind of weird, it tasted very cheap and gritty. Wouldn't recommend this place but I'm glad to have tried it.
google avatar

Mary T.

Yelp
Omg can I please take this entire place with me back to LA?! Sooo good! Perfect sidewalk treat when it's cold outside. That Belgian hot chocolate was ridiculously good. Had the strawberry cookie crumble waffle and it was amazing

Katherine M.

Yelp
Fantastic service and food. Perfect start to our trip to the museum. Would go back next change we get in nyc.

Yelp
This location told me they didn't have internet to accept my order. I ordered about $100 worth of items from the menu and they processed my order online. When i got to this location, he said it's not here and he doesn't have internet at this location. Smh. Money taken and I'm left with no treats. Oh well. Maybe never again. Live, Love, and Laugh -Sha

Yelp
Best waffle I have ever had! Get the ice cream with chocolate waffle.... Da Bomb is the bomb!!! We also tried the one with bacon, bananas and chocolate which was good but go for the ice cream. We sat at the park and watched people take photos of themselves in front of macys.
google avatar

Miguel T.

Yelp
A Bryant Park kiosk but the aroma's are very enticing. ORDERING - there is a line to order and pay and you have a separate area to pick up your items STAFF - very hospitable and friendly and they make sure that everyone gets a free little cookie MENU - pretty extensive for a booth and geared for those with a sweet tooth FOOD/DESSERT - everything seemed really good by peoples expressions PRICES - on the pricey side but it is Bryant Park
google avatar

Diondra B.

Yelp
As a person with a sweet tooth I'm grateful for this place. The waffles are fresh warm and delicious you can dress it almost anyway you want with all the great toppings
google avatar

Jorge O.

Yelp
Service was fast and convenient. Waffles smelled so good when we passed by so we stopped by. Will be back again

Carlotta C.

Yelp
Amazing. I grew up in Belgium and would often eat waffles and I rarely find good ones in the US - this is definitely it! Cannot recommend enough

Logan C.

Yelp
Suuuper good street food, this was the savior of our late dinner after being disappointed by a hot dog stand.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Came here on a weekday evening, the WMD (World of Massive Deliciousness) which came with bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle. Waffle was reheated and not fresh so it wasn't great. Fruit was good, whipped cream and chocolate was fine. Was a bit disappointed by the waffle. Has some seating around, near public bathroom too. For $15+, quality should be better.

Yelp
Come HERE. I absolutely loved the service here. The gentleman at the register was so nice and welcoming. Its right outside of Macy's. The park is right there so you can definitely grab a seat. To the right of the waffle stand is a group of homeless men. They didnt seem to bother anyone though. But you certainly wouldn't want to sit by Waffle and Dingz yellow seating. I always get the bourbon bacon waffle here. The waffle is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy inside. Its perfectly cooked. They def use pre-cooked bacon and use a blow torch to crisp it up. They put brown sugar on it. And powder sugar on top. The maple syrup comes in a little glass bottle on the side. The waffle is almost $14 but it is GOOD. We also had the mango Lemonade. It was good to try. Tasted more like mango then anything else. But its still delicious and worth a try. I seen a bunch of people getting waffles with a scoop of ice cream and a bunch of chocolate sauce. It looked absolutely delicious. Overall i would visit this location again. Its worth a try, i highly recommend it.

Yelp
I came here with my sister. It is located on 35th street across from Macy's. There are a couple of tables and chairs reserved for customers of W&D but there is plenty of seating elsewhere nearby. We were feeling full after dinner so we decided to split a dulce de leche with strawberries. It was pretty good! I thought the sauce was super rich and creamy, a little too rich for me. The strawberries also weren't that fresh but hey, we did go later on in the evening. The star of the show was definitely the waffle! It was hot and crispy on the outside but super fluffy on the inside! I thought the price was pretty standard. It is $9 for a waffle. The first topping is free. Additional toppings are about $1.80 each.

Yelp
Perfect dessert at Herald Square Park. A waffle with Spekuloos spread and a big cup of iced americano coffee are really hard to beat. Nice seating at the park while enjoying people watching.
google avatar

Saira K.

Yelp
I went here on Christmas in 2019...before the pandemic. There were mostly tourists around looking for something to eat. A lot of places looked kind of closed. The waffles were warm. They also had chocolate. I tried the waffles with strawberries.
google avatar

Alexis T.

Yelp
So good we got the s'mores waffle and it was nice and hot. The toppings look like it's overwhelming but it's really not. The line moved very quickly and unfortunately there was a hair in ours and the ladies behind the counter were nice enough to give us a fresh one. Great service and even better waffles.
google avatar

Yelp
Nestled in the middle of Times Square. This is a fun place to grab a sweet treat. It's not fantastic, but it's damn good and will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. Basically it's a mini food truck that creates Mini Belgian waffle sundaes/ice cream sandwiches. The options range from just a dollar of creamy vanilla and drizzled with chocolate syrup or topped with strawberries, bananas, chocolate syrup and whipped cream and more!!! Portion size is enough for two but if you love dessert and have room in your tummy you could totally devour the whole thing by yourself and then "goodnight!" - you'd better start walking it off or you may find yourself stuffed and sleepy. Kids will love it so if nothing else grab one and have a family tasting. Worth tryin once plus if you can find a seat, it's a great way to pass the time - what's better than snacking and people watching

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I recently tried this place, as I have passed by it many times after shopping in Macys or sitting in the small park next to it. The pictures of everything look delicious. Do not be deceived by the photos. The waffles are not good. I tried the waffle with the caramel syrup & whipped cream. The waffle was dry, tasteless & barely warm. The caramel syrup was not sweet and did not have any flavor either. It was very expensive - $11.00. Do yourself a favor and make an Eggo waffle & put some Smuckers caramel syrup on it at home. It will be WAY better then this and half the price. This is a typical rip off tourist attraction in NYC.
google avatar

Carolyn R.

Yelp
The wafles are decadent, rich, and delicious! Definitely too heavy to have very often, but it's the perfect occasional treat. Sweet and filling!
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
Nothing. And I mean nothing. Compares to Wafels and Dinges. I've been a huge proponent and patron from the Bobby Flay days, and a liege wafel with speculoos, strawberries, and fudge is my go to order (though I've had probably almost every combination possible on the menu). There was a time when I would plan my day around where different locations were, and I think I topped out at three locations in one day. The wafels are chewy, the fudge is thick and chocolatey - and in winter months, the hot cocoa is absolutely mind blowingly good. I'll admit, when I was in Brussels, I was disappointed that their waffles weren't even as good as Wafels and Dinges. I cannot recommend enough.
google avatar

Sneha K.

Yelp
This was a really good quick breakfast stop. I had the churro waffle, which was extremely sweet but definitely delicious! They have locations throughout New York, so I would recommend is you just want to stop by and have a sweet breakfast!
google avatar

VyVy V.

Yelp
Another place in NYC that I think is a little too overhyped. It was good but still on the pricey side. Service we had was great though! He was really funny and nice even though it was a freezing January day that we had visited the outdoor stand. We created our own waffle and was able to get a free topping by answering a trivia question. Maybe I was anticipating more but it's mainly a waffle with toppings and nutella.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of wafel and dinges and this one is no exception! The waffle was warm and toasty and I love how hard the ice cream stayed even when it was on top of a warm waffle! The waffle is perfectly sweetened, thick and doughy. I don't think you can really go wrong with anything here! It's also great that there's so many tables and chairs to sit around also!
google avatar

Autumn M.

Yelp
On a hot summer day, nothing beats a scoop of ice cream from Wafles and Dinges with their hardening chocolate sauce poured over the top. BUT on a cold winter night I had to mix things up and try their hot chocolate (which, as you can see, cane with a very generous amount of marshmallows and whipped cream!) Yes, maybe it was a bit pricey for a standard not chocolate, but still way better than what you'll get at your local starbucks or bodega. Can't want for the warm days to roll back in so I can enjoy my icecream without feeling like a weirdo for eating it in subzero temperatures!
google avatar

Ilyssa M.

Yelp
So this was the first time we tried this spot. We always see it but today my friend was in from Florida and we decided that today was going to be a foodie day. My daughter was with us and she decided that she wanted this waffle. It was more of a sandwich of two waffles, Nutella, whipped Cream , strawberries and chocolate fudge, basically a waffle covered in your dreams. The waffles were crispy and warm and the Nutella and whipped cream complemented the strawberries perfectly. If it was just me, waffles aren't my thing but I have to admit that these were really five star tasting. The only reason that I have this place 4 stars is because of the cost. It came it to $15.00, which is completely insane but I figured for a special occasion it's fine.
google avatar

Elena M.

Yelp
This place really disappointed me because I ordered the gluten version. I watched the staff person pull out an old pre-cooked waffle and then heat it up. So it tasted like shoe leather. I asked her why it wasn't from batter, and she mumbled that they make them fresh daily. It was disgusting. I took one bite and went to throw it away. But, there was a homeless person going through the trash. So I even told that person that it didn't taste good, as he wanted it. Hopefully he enjoyed it, although he was already holding an old one that was out of the trash and was about 2/3 already. But, I suspect that that one tasted better, than the gluten free one. As a side note, the regular waffles are delicious and gooey.
google avatar

Amanda A.

Yelp
Doughy, chewy, textured and spiced up - this Belgium waffle is exactly what I need on a terrible Monday Morning. TIP: try their special speculoos ice cream flavour with a waffle.
google avatar

Jessalyn P.

Yelp
As you're taking in all the lights and people all around you in Time Square, the stimulating scent of fresh baked Belgium waffles is captivating all your senses. Making you think of nothing else but to get your hands on one of those delicious treats! Wafels and Dinges is synonymous with New York City. Almost, if not all articles mentions it when speaking of desserts you must try. So "When in Rome!" They have various locations all over Manhattan. The dessert stand is like a landmark as it seems to be everywhere a tourist would find themself visiting. Hey, no complaints here! My sweet tooth is loving it! My favorite is "De Bom!" Crispy waffle topped with Tahitian vanilla ice cream and chocolate fudge drizzles. It can't get better than that! Let me tell you, that first bite of warm waffle and creamy ice cream with a touch of chocolate is just heavenly. It was delicious to the very last morsel! Need I say more? I highly recommend it!
google avatar

Jasmine S.

Yelp
The "de throwdown wafel" it is the legendary and glorious victor of the Battle with the Great Bobby Flay. With Spekuloos spread and Wipped cream. This is the wafel that brought Wafels and Dinges on the map and we are here to give it a taste test!
google avatar

Kimberly M.

Yelp
Wow! Such flavor-packed wafels and the dinges made it all spectacular. We ordered a double decker build your own to share. Prices are high: $17 for ours with 2 waffles and 4 toppings (1st topping free). Service is slow. But the taste is really great. We will enjoy this treat again.
google avatar

Jerry C.

Yelp
Really good waffles and toppings. We had them while waiting for people in our group that where shopping at Macy's. The park that it is adjacent to is a nice place to enjoy your waffles. My daughter loved the chocolate covered ones. I choose the strawberry covered ones and they where great. The waffle is very tasty and not overly hard. I'd definitely buy them again. Staff was was nice and answered questions that I had.
google avatar

Bing R.

Yelp
I am at the pop up Waffle & Dinges but I do not at all understand why they do not want to give me the Waffle fresh from the waffle iron. He tricked me and put it under a tray of PRE-MADE waffles and told me it has to cool. I was just in Brugges and Brussels and for 4 days taste tested several Belgian Waffles. I know how they are made and I certainly get the freshly cooked one - even have a video. Suspicious as I was, I never peeled my eyes off of my waffle which they placed under a shelf and took out one in the right to give me. I told them they switched on me. I got my money back and skipped this! I do not trust people I could actually catch scam me in front of my eyes as if I were dumb and naive. I will never go back to this one in the Christmas Market at Union Square.
google avatar

Cat C.

Yelp
Finished dinner nearby and saw Wafels & Dinges on the corner. I had the location by Rokerfeller Center bookmarked and decided to go for a dessert to share with him. I wanted the Belgian one but they said it was discontinued; so not sure why they didn't cover it on their menu. We ordered a liege ($6) with speculaoos topping. The first topping is free. We were very disappointed that they gave us a premade one. These should always be made to order. Especially for a food truck. The liege was a little on the hard side. A good one is usually (besides hot) crisp edged but soft middle. They were generous with the speculaoos topping but it was way too sweet. We'll never cheat on the Belgian Waffle guy back home.

Yelp
As someone who loves waffles almost to a fault, I was looking forward to trying this spot I always pass by on my walk to work. However, it seems as my love of waffles did me wrong, as my expectations were too high and I was disappointed by the mediocrity of this experience. My rating is honestly kind of harsh, but it represents the depth of my disappointment. The ambiance: This Waffles and Dinges location is in a beautiful spot with lots of outdoor seating in Herald Square. Hops and skips away from major shopping and the Empire State Building, the location aims to please and succeeds. The food: The waffle, the most important part, the apex of breakfast and dessert goodness, was a fail. We ordered a waffle topped with sliced fruit, whipped cream, and cookie butter ice cream. It looked amazing. I was excited. I carried it to our outdoor table the epitome of delight. The waffle, however, tasted stale. It could not be ripped into pieces using a fork. It was lukewarm. I sawed it in half with a fork and knife and tried to shovel it and the toppings in my mouth, but it simply became depressing. The toppings, however, were all good. My fiancé enjoyed the experience, but one of his favorite foods is Julienne salads so his opinion is of questionable value. The service: The people at the stand were honestly very nice and bubbly. I wish the food lived up to the same standard as the service and location.

Steffi G.

Yelp
We strolled through Bryant Park and came across this cute little stand. I ordered a liege with Speculoos dinge and my boyfriend got the liege with nutella topping. I was disappointed with what I got. I thought mine was going to be a waffle with the speculoos cookie butter spread, but it was just .... Cookie crumbs on a waffle. You definitely cant go wrong with the nutella waffle. I also got an iced coffee--- very strong, not watered down. Thumbs up for me! A bit overpriced for what it is, but that's New York for ya! There's a few high tables around, but you can take it with you and sit somewhere in the park. I probably wouldn't mind trying another topping, maybe with ice cream hee hee :)
google avatar

Jen G.

Yelp
The hours state this location opens at 8am. Whenever I walk down the block to get a coffee it's still closed well after 8... Why don't you guys ever open on time?

Jonas A.

Yelp
Amazing! Perfectly cooked, great flavor waffle! The throw down is one of my personal favorites! If you're traveling, or live near a Wafels & Dinges, you should totally try it!
google avatar

Jenna N.

Yelp
First time trying this and it's the best waffle I've ever had! The waffle is soft and crispy and the waffle has a sugary coating that makes it different but good! We added Nutella, strawberries, and whipped cream! It's pretty pricey ($10) for the small waffle but it was worth it!
google avatar

Amy N.

Yelp
Spotted this location as soon as I walked out of Macy's from the 35th street entrance with my sister. We just managed to wait on a 1 and a half hour line to see Santa with the kids inside Santaland. What perfect timing for a yummy snack! Great little stand surrounded by public outdoor seating. The only thing I get from any Waffles and Dinges is their De Bom. Warm fresh waffle with a dust of powdered sugar, a huge HUGE scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate drizzled on top! Forget the trucks! You guys should have more of these stands, that way I'll know where I can always get my sweet tooth cravings instead of scouting for you guys.
google avatar

Dre D.

Yelp
Great service! Very Sweet wafel, must eat moderately quickly so it doesn't get cold and hard.... Loved the hot cocoa! Haven't eaten the cookie yet, but it's small (free with any cup of hot cocoa).

Daniel Blair K.

Yelp
Waffle was tough as boot leather. Made last week? Way over priced. $10 for a reheated waffle? Don't recommend.
google avatar

Steven W.

Yelp
I would give this place more stars but they were literally out of everything, no bacon, no strawberry, no banana. The line wasn't too bad when I went. Location is small and a hot mess inside. The waffle overall was pretty basic and the size was kind of small for the price!
