Waffle House

My daughter ordered Texas Patty Melt Platter and I ordered the All Star with hash browns instead of the grits. The waitress Angie put our order in and we waited. Now mind people came in way after us placed their orders and got their food before we got ours. I was ready to say something then, but I remained cool. Some people came in to place a to go order the cook told the waitress that the order ready but she kept on with other person. Our food sat for almost 10 minutes after the fact. by now I'm very upset cause the food sat there and it was cold. I didn't even want the food anymore. I wasted money on the mediocre food. Something needs to be said and done. I don't understand what is going on, but I won't be patronizing Waffle House ever again.

I recently stopped by Waffle House—not a place I visit often since I used to work there—but the food was absolutely phenomenal. I was taken care of by a young lady named Evie, and she did an amazing job. Evie, you are awesome and beautiful! Keep using that strong voice God gave you—call those orders with pride, stand tall, and stay confident. That said, my experience was nearly perfect, but there was one part that rubbed me the wrong way. A woman—bald, though I’m not sure of her name—came on shift while I was there. Some of her comments felt off-putting, like when she told coworkers things like “Stay off the line” and “Don’t come near my line.” Tone matters, and the way something is said can change everything. When Evie was ringing me up, the same woman shouted, “What is your name?” in a way that seemed rude. I believe she was trying to find out who the food was for, but it came across harsh when a simple, kind ask would’ve done the trick. Overall, my experience was great, and Evie really made it special.

Went here ok Feb 25, around 2:00pm, and the cook and waitress were beyond cool. Just some down to earth, good people . This is the type of atmosphere every Waffle House could use. Whoever employs these people , don't let them go. You've got some good one at this Waffle House

I wish I could give them zero stars. Please see the photos. Waffles are burnt. Toast was not toasted at all. Hashbrowns were supposed to be well, were barely cooked. They gave us the end piece of the loaf for a sandwich. Eggs well done instead of over light on my sandwich. I cooked new eggs myself at home. We had to cook the hashbrowns and toast the bread also. Less than one piece of bacon for a Bacon egg and cheese sandwich which is supposed to have three pieces. They didn’t give us the coffee we ordered. The place was FILTHY. They had almost no customers at all and no one was cleaning. They just left the tables dirty, so no one could even sit down. AND they charged us for the containers and gratuity. We knew we’d be paying gratuity, but when did they start charging five dollars for boxes? We ordered two Allstars and they put the orders in ONE BOX!! They didn’t give us the bacon for the allstars. We ordered four meals and they only gave us three silverware. This is the worst Waffle House I have ever been to.

Ordered a plate of hash browns smothered peppers and capped, and did not get any mushrooms, or any browning on my hash browns. Came out looking like spaghetti. Our server was nice but the staff just kinda seemed to be chilling the whole time while we waited about 20 minutes, in a dead restaurant, for incomplete orders of hash browns.

Super experience! It's been a minute, but the food, service and atmosphere was great! My first time seeing, walk up windows at a Waffle House! It was difficult to understand how to get to the actual place because it was located in a very awkward spot.

Always stop at this location tonight my favorite cook was there finally!!! not only is she my name twin she’s the best cook at this location such a cool person I ordered Texas bacon cheesesteak melt plate and a waffle sooo delish hit the spot in more ways then one thank you amber your the best

This is my first visit to a Waffle House. I’ll admit - not what I was expecting. We’ve all heard the Waffle House stories and seen the videos but this place had no insanity going on. I was pleased but disappointed at the same time. I was hoping for some dining with entertainment but all i got was dining. Anyway - bacon and hash brown bowl for me and the all star platter for the flat mate. Eggs were fluffy and moist, bacon crispy, hash brown crisp and well cooked and plenty of cheese. Here’s the breakdown: Fast service +1 star, decent food +1 star, nice sized portion +1 star, good price +1 star, right around the corner +1 star, no insanity / slightly dirty kitchen -1 star for a four star rating.

The chicken melt was over salted, I didn't get the tomato and pickle that I ask for before and after placing and getting my order. My hash browns were supposed to be scattered, smothered, covered. I ask that they not be crispy. When I opened the container when I got home the hash browns had a dark, hard top and under that hard shell it looked like 2 teaspoons of uncooked hash browns were placed there. No cheese no onions. This cooked needs to be trained or fired.

The was fine like all Waffle House restaurants. It depends on the cook. The restaurant was clean and the service was fast. Spike them being busy on a Saturday morning.

Very disappointing experience. I came in this morning. I sat at the counter. The restaurant was very dirty. While the workers were trying to clean, the manager said that they could clean dishes at the end of the day. The server came and asked if I was eating in. I waited 10 minutes and she never came back. This was the worst Waffle House that I have ever been to!

My expectations were completely blown away during my first ever visit to Waffle House, known for offering its breakfast menu 24 hours a day! Our server Ryan was so warm and friendly and probably gave the best service I've ever experienced at such a large chain restaurant. The menu was short and simple, and the All-Star Special came with a customizable set of options. My picks included two eggs over-easy, a biscuit, grits, a slice of city ham, and, of course, a waffle! The grits were the only disappointing part, as they turned out rather chunky and coagulated. However, the eggs were perfectly cooked with runny yolks, the thick slice of ham was nicely caramelized, and the griddled biscuit was soft and buttery. This being Waffle House, however, the highlight was definitely the Classic Waffle, which was soft and fluffy on the inside and perfectly caramelized on the outside. The waffle had a balanced, slightly sweet vanilla flavor and was imprinted with the "Waffle House" brand in the middle. I can now understand how Waffle House has become such a beloved icon in the South with its great, affordable food available at all hours of the day!

Might be my first one star Waffle House review.....maybe. You never know when you go to the greasy spoon. These folks were all over the place. The cook was talkin' bout the staff was making him anxious. Maybe that's why I got my cheese on top of my omelet instead of in it. Maybe that's why my omelet was brown. Wasn't burnt but it's suppose to be yellow. Lady called order out, they didn't hear it, so I got it late. I even chimed in and said, "she called the order out."

Won't serve public till 7am. Don't help the working people of this town. You lost my business.

food is good but they always get their security team to interrogate you and it seems really excessive when you're just trying to pick up food. it's like you go to pick up food and they think you're about to rob the place. makes you feel very unwelcome.

Ordered hash browns to go with an oj. Couldn't be happier with the quality of the food; as well as, the service. This location was clean, prompt, and not overly crowded when I went.

I was very hungry for breakfast because I did not eat anything for supper last night. I wanted to go to McDonalds but, I was hesitant because of all the bad things I hear about McDonald's food. I then decided to stop at Waffle House knowing that their food is always cooked fresh, right in front of you and the staff here is always so nice. When I walked in Garth Brooks - The Thunder Rolls was playing on the Juke Box and I was greeted with a Hello and how are you today. What I had to eat was two fried eggs over easy, bacon, hash browns and buttered toast with a large coffee. I got my meal to go because I needed to put the trash can out due to it being trash pick-up day where I live. When I got home I was finally able to sit down and enjoy my food after doing my chore. My food was cold by this point but, it did not matter to me because It was still delicious. Every single bite. I saved the last piece of bacon to put on a toasted turkey, bacon, cheese sandwich for lunch. So, if you are ever hungry for breakfast and on this side of town, this Waffle House will be your best spot for super delicious food and good customer service.

I think I was so excited to try this place that I was anticipating more. I would have to say typical diner food. The I ordered waffles and cinnamon bread. The food was just ok. Typical waffles. The place was extremely small as well as the seating. Not my "go to place" for waffles.

We have been on the road since yesterday my daughter is moving from Wisconsin to Georgia and as we passed through Nashville today the traffic was horrendous!! We chose the upcoming waffle house to go to which was this one on bell road. the cook and the server were super nice young people. It was a welcome break and I'm glad we stopped.

Yeah I am from out of town, so I found getting into this Waffle House location a little bit challenging but found a booth seat and greeted immediately by pleasant staff. I love the cherry syrup that can be added to the soft drinks. Free refills and a cup to go is great! The food was cooked and delivered fast. The only oops was the Country Hash browns I ordered had a few pieces of onion in them. Most people wouldn't flinch, but I despise onion and since that wasn't part of my order I wondered whose part got mingled in with mine? Our waitress checked back often enough without being a bother. When I asked if I paid her or at the register, she even offered to take care of cashing me out so I didn't have to weave in/out of the people eating at the counter. I didn't encounter any over the line loudness from staff that has been mentioned in other reviews. I did, however, wonder why one of the female workers kept fooling with and digging in her hair and visor within sight of customers. The restrooms were clean.

Pathetic absolutely pathetic would be an understatement for this piece of trash of a restaurant. Cooks and servers cursing while they're making food. Yelling screaming going on but the worst part is we didn't get anything that we ordered. Absolutely ridiculous this restaurant should be closed down!!!

Gave out expired milk. Didn't cook anything right!!! Didn't allow to sit down!!! Didn't speak to us! Got attuide and racist. Went in at 7:15am.

During covid 19 they have to be more careful with what food they are giving I had bread with fung that's disgusting!

I loved the food but did not like the rowdy noisy staff both waiting and cooking if only they kept the discussions professional and more quieter noticed the manager or lead staff not saying anything sad.........good food though

This new Waffle House just opened within the last month or so. I will say that they are very obviously new. They hired a bunch of teenagers, so the staff doesn't look like stereotypical Waffle House staff. From my server not knowing how to write down what I ordered in their special Waffle House way, to him being embarrassed to shout "pull one sausage!" Lol. It was obvious that there were a bunch of high school kids, and so it takes a lot more practical sense than they have developed. I'm not trying to be snarky. What I mean is if I order a cheeseburger and it is brought to the table with a COLD slice of cheese on it, that's a mistake. If I send it back, and it comes back to the table in six seconds with a COOL slice of cheese on it instead of a melted slice of cheese, that's just common sense that isn't there. If you mangle a waffle, it shouldn't come to the table for you to gauge whether or not we'll eat it. It looked like it had already been chewed up. And cold hash browns... nope. That being said, come here and tip your servers and make them do well. Because kids are trying to have jobs, and management is apologetic and more than willing to fix things. They are all trying. They'll learn soon enough. I will be back, but I won't give sympathy stars.

This Waffle House is so hit and miss. Occasionally you go in and it's great service, you're served fast and the staff is friendly. Other times, like what I experienced today and other times, you can go in and be sitting there for 10 mins without even getting a water or any type of attention from a server who is walking past you repeatedly. Do better Waffle House

I like Waffle Houses. They are tasty and generally consistent as befitting a chain diner. The price of the meal doesn't hurt either. This particular Waffle House is as slow as molasses (or pancake syrup given the venue). It is slow from the waiters to the short order cooks. We didn't get acknowledged when we walked in, didn't get asked for drinks until at least 5 mins after we sat down, and our food came out piecemeal over a space of 15 minutes. There was plenty of staff to handle all the diners, so there are clearly some time management issues that need to be addressed. The food didn't suck though, so I wouldn't count this particular Waffle House completely out. Just don't go when you are in a hurry.

Great service, very clean. It's been awhile since I've been to a WH, server was very nice!

The food was okay. But it was very difficult to enjoy it because of the unbelievable LOUD, and do I mean LOUD, staff. ‍ There was no one there but us and eight staff. They were so so so LOUDDDDD. Yelling conversations to each other though they were standing next to each other, clanging and banging pots and pans like the ship was going down & they were looking to be rescued, unpacking things & clanging the living daylights out of them, too, just in case EVERY NERVE hadn't been set on on fire. I'm eating, and the waitress starts picking up one utensil at a time: "you done with this? You gonna need this?" As I prepare to switch over to Waffles. ‍ I've waitressed. A LOT. Sigh. This is not how we do it. I'm going to make a definite point of skipping over this location, and going to the freezing-cold one down the road by Big Lots. This place is unbearable!! The 2 stars were for FOOD ONLY. Staff, you're not in your own home. There are paying guests with you who could eat elsewhere. LET THEM HAVE QUIET & a pleasant meal, for God's sake. No one comes in here to hear your yelling and ENDLESS LOUD clanging. And please teach your waitresses how to not remove utensils from the table unless a guest has requested new ones.

I've visited this Waffle House at least 3 separate times and I have Always been treated decently and our.meals were great. Granted, they are a bit on the Slow side, but my meal came out Fresh and Hot. Also this location is Clean and not Trashy like most Waffle Houses.

BEST FRICKIN' WAFFLE HOUSE... EVUUUH! I always go late night after 11pm. The dude in the kitchen is amazing! I haven't had a bad experience here, and I don't think it could happen. Servers are really attentive, and they meet all my needs. Ive stopped going to every other WH in Nashville since I've started coming to this one. This isn't even my neighborhood WH. I take that extra few miles to come eat at this one.

I called to make an order for take out. First of all they answered the phone and spoke what I assumed was them asking for me to hold. I am not sure because they slurred their words. So I waited patiently because I could hear someone cashing out customers but after five minutes had passed and the conversation on the phone had switched to something no customer should EVER have to hear I did get a little impatient. Then another minute and a half rolls around. Making almost seven minutes of being on hold and a minute and a half of it being very inappropriate. I finally hung up and chose to spend my money else where. Will I give them another chance? Yes and I may very well change my review. However, for now I wish I could give zero stars for being forgotten on the phone and then forced to listen to personal conversations.

I've eaten here before and it's been okay, but they must have gotten an all new staff because the meal I just had was amazing. Though the parking lot and tables were all full, they had a hostess working to seat people quickly. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes for a table, even with 3 groups ahead of us. Our server was great & the food was delicious. We had bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits with hash browns.

I haven't been to a waffle house in a long time found this one in Tennessee so far everything is excellent and our server Britney is fantastic and very personal very friendly and very helpful.

This place was disgusting and threw me off completely.firstly there was used napkins on the floor. Secondly, there were booths that were too tight for me and my family.Thirdly we saw a huge cockroach on the backside of the seat of the booth.We told what seemed like the manager and she said "Yeah we know".I wasn't able to finish even half of my food after I saw that I just lost my appetite then we just left disgusted.

I would love to write a full review but I only got to spend 5-10 minutes here. I came in and sit up at the bar. The bar in a Waffle House is where you sit and can watch the cook and waitress do their stuff. They were not busy with around 5 tables taken with customers. No one greeted me when I walked in as this is the usual at Waffle House restaurants. I sat down and looked over the menu for a min or so. Waitresses walked by and by and by but no one said good morning, or I'll be right with you, nothing! One waitress placed a plate next to where I was sitting and placed 5 lemon slices on it for another customer without saying a word to me. Another customer came in for a to go order and they took her order right away and called it back to the cook. Still nothing as the waitresses kept just walking by. I finally stopped a waitress and asked if I could get waited on. She said she could help me in a minute. This is where I complained about the service and I just got up and left. No clue how the food was but the service at this location was definitely not up to par.

After a wonderful worship at church was ready to eat. Had some leftover Publix fried chicken and thought to myself if only had a waffle to go with them that would make a great breakfast. Call the Waffle House the lady that answer the phone was so polite and professional she took my order ( sorry I did not get her name) in talking to her she never let me think they were very busy - arrive at the Waffle House no where to park...omg (forgot it was a holiday weekend) found a spot in the next parking lot and walked over . Walked to the "place orders to go " sign, very nice lady at the register - taking orders & working the phone. She politely asked me to wait one minute as she stepped away to assist another customer. I thought to myself my order is not going to be ready. She returned I gave her the name on the order she grab the waffles +condiments & bagged it . YEAH!!!! Thanks Waffle House your signature waffles made our breakfast at home Rock!! They were hot and delicious So glad you are a business in the Antioch area- keep up the good work.
