Wafi City

Wafi Mall is such a cool spot! I loved the Egyptian-inspired design, and it’s super easy to get there from Dubai Healthcare City Metro. The food court wasn’t too busy, which made it nice to explore, and there are so many coffee shops to choose from. Plus, they have a huge Carrefour, VOX Cinema, fast Wi-Fi, and some hotels are right connected—makes it really convenient. Definitely worth a visit!

Wafi Mall is one of the oldest malls in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.This complex carried an Egyptian vibe.The mall is in the Wafi City complex that also includes Raffles and Sofitel Dubai 5-star hotel in the shapes of a pyramid and obelisk respectively, restaurants, residences, a nightclub, and a leisure club themed around the style of Ancient Egypt.

Wafi Mall is peaceful and beautifully designed, with an Ancient Egyptian theme featuring pyramids and hieroglyphics. Not crowded even on Sundays. The food court is still expanding, so there’s more to come. Some places accept the Entertainer app for deals. Just a 5-minute walk from Dubai Healthcare City metro.

We literally chanced upon this wonderful place, otherwise we would have missed seeing something so beautiful in Dubai. I had not come across anything about the WAFI City, when I was doing my research of places to visit in Dubai. However we had taken AYA Universe as one of the places in our itenary. When our taxi took us to the destination, I was wonderstruck. A great Egyptian pylon with inscriptions greeted us as the entry door. It was flanked on two sides by ancient Egyptian black doglike creatures, with flashes of gold. As we made our way throgh the mall to AYA Universe, I was pleasantly surprised to see Egyptian Architecture Elements like column capitals, flooring patterns, etc. in the mall, which I had only seen till now in Architectural History Text-books. After the stunning experience of AYA Universe we walked out through the exit. Here a more spectacular view awaited us. The atrium with glass pyramid. The glass of the pyramid had painting from the Egyptian monuments. The red, yellow, turquoise and green colours in the glass dazzled against the backdrop of clear sky. We clicked a lot of photos in this incredible space. Wish we had a full day to spend here. The rush of people was also not so much as in other malls, so you could savour the extraoridnary interiors, and take lovely photos without other people coming in the background. A must visit place when you go to Dubai.
