"Wahoo! I first visited Wahoo's Fish Taco in Denver and have been going back ever since. It seems much more appropriate that Wahoo's, with its surfboarding theme, has a location in Hawaii. The location I frequented is in Ala Moana. Time permitting, I would get my food to go and sit at the Ala Moana Beach park for a picnic dinner. Wahoo's has a good selection of burritos, salads, and tacos. A pitcher of margaritas or local beers are usually popular with a group as well! If you collect stickers, just ask at the counter and if they have any on hand, they will gift one to you."

Very good food, and quick service. I had the paleo bowl (which is great if you're on keto) and I also sampled the citrus slaw spicy taco. Both were delicious. If you eat outside you may be visited by bird or two. However they are not very aggressive and you can easily shu them away. Lol

Definitely do the spicy chicken taco with carnitas. So amazingly good! The fish tacos are done with double corn tortillas, the way they should be. Feels like a So Cal kind of place. Beachy. Prices are fair for the portion sizes. Menu is easy and love the customizability of it all. Very sweet customer service. Dez is a ROCK STAR! Casual, unpretentious vibe overall at this place, which is really nice. Food is fresh and light for the most part, but heavy eaters can definitely leave satisfied. The burritos are huge! My kiddo ate all the onion rings haha, which is saying something--usually anything too greasy doesn't pass the eat test. That these did is impressive. Wednesdays is an excellent deal w/ $2 tacos & other deals. Starts at 530p, but hang out before for happy hour. Will be back for this! Happy hour starts at 3p. Very nice deals. Refillable drinks. Save your large cup--if you bring it in on a return visit, that drink's just 50 cents. Nice!! Family and kiddo friendly. Bathrooms on site. Plenty of outdoor seating right at the corner of Ward and Auahi. Multiple screens indoors for March Madness love. Will definitely return. Recommend.

My new favorite place for nachos!! I had it with the carnitas (pulled pork) and their 2 types of beans. Love that they use real melted cheese and it comes with thick sour cream and fresh made guacamole and salsa.

I'm so sad with the change in ownership. The menu may be similar but the quality of food, thoughtfulness and taste just isn't the same. Perhaps they tried to make it up in quantity? We got our usual Outter Reef burritos which, upon reading the menu, was described to have green sauce. I ordered it as described ("your protein, lettuce, beans, rice and green sauce") with carnitas. The cashier then asked if I wanted to make it wet. But it comes with green sauce, I said. Oh, no, she told me, there is no green sauce - that's a dollar extra. But it's on the menu, I reply. No, that's wrong, she insisted. Yes, make it wet. Ok, do you want red or green sauce? <sigh> Green, please. Next up hubs orders his outter reef burrito with chicken. Do you want to make it wet? Yes. Did you want to keep the sour cream and guac in it?, she asks. No sour cream for hubs. Wait.Whatthehell? Is my burrito coming with sour cream and guac I didn't want that was clearly posted as an extra charge? Next up the wait. We sit at a table near the cashier/kitchen where one of the back of the house seems to be having a family crisis with his apparent wife - this obviously doesn't happen on the daily, but it was weird they didn't go outside. It took a while, but then I realized it was because they were creating burritos the size of an enlarged liver (look it up, they're huge). Mine was marked with a slash of sour cream - the universal indicator you're about to eat something you didn't order. We asked the lady who brought the food about the mystery that is the green sauce listed in the outter reef burrito description. She (seemingly inaccurately) explained the green sauce was inside the burrito. But yes, if we wanted to put the sauce on the outside it would cost more. Did I just order a burrito from Medicare? Does it matter WHERE the sauce is on the plate when you decide whether to charge or not? I can't imagine the charge if we asked for it on the side. Ok so let's get on with eating this burrito I've been jonesing for. Wheres the meat? This is a rice and bean roll! With sour cream and guac! Oh well, may as well make the most of all this green sauce. I finally discover a ball of carnitas hiding in the corner of the butt of the burrito, 6 spoonfuls of rice too late. Maybe these are just hiccups the new team has to iron out? Either way, I may have to look for a new burrito joint in town.

Nice little spot for something quick and tasty. Apparently they do $2 tacos on Wednesday's but the cashier told me that after I ordered.. on a Wednesday. Paleo salad is delicious and healthy! Chips served cold, otherwise no complaints. Plenty of parking nearby.

Ordered at the counter for takeout. Burrito contained very little fish; it is basically a rice and bean burrito. Also very disappointed with the portion size of the paleo bowl - the flame-broiled fish was dry. I paid $1 more to make the burrito “wet” and they obviously didn’t as you can see from my photo. Avoid this place at all costs. I welcome to speak with management at this location.

Great service and awesome food! The burritos are HUGE and are loaded with shrimp (if you order shrimp, of course). Would definitely come back again, not busy at all.
