Wahweap Overlook

Wahweap Overlook is one of the best viewpoints in Page if you want a wide, peaceful, and elevated view of Lake Powell and the surrounding red rock landscape. It’s a quick drive up to the top, and the viewpoint itself is easy to access with plenty of space to park and take photos. Unlike the more crowded spots in the area, Wahweap Overlook feels calm and open, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. From the top, you get a beautiful panoramic view of the lake, the marina, and the distant rock formations. It’s an excellent spot for sunrise or sunset because the light reflects off the water and brings out the colors in the cliffs. The overlook sits high enough to give you a full understanding of how massive Lake Powell really is. It’s also a perfect stop after visiting Horseshoe Bend or Antelope Canyon since it’s very close to the main roads and doesn’t require any hiking. Just drive up, step out, and enjoy the view. Whether you’re taking photos, enjoying a quiet moment, or stopping during a road trip, Wahweap Overlook is definitely worth visiting.

Wahweap Overlook. The spot where Lake Powell stretches out like a giant bathtub someone forgot to refill since the early 2000s, yet still manages to look stupidly gorgeous. You roll up the hill and boom. The lake hits you with that perfect blue pretending everything is fine, while the surrounding rocks pose like they’re in some artsy magazine shoot. Reds and yellows everywhere, looking way too good for something that’s basically extremely fancy erosion. Then there’s the crow. This feathery little chaos merchant keeps doing dramatic loops around you like it’s guarding the overlook from unsuspecting tourists. It puffs itself up, makes weird throat noises and stares at you with the confidence of someone who definitely has pecked a sandwich out of a backpack before. The bird brings full villain energy and honestly steals part of the show. The whole place is simple. Drive up, step out, get hit with a wow and snap the inevitable photo. No gimmicks. No nonsense. Just pure scenery plus one crow auditioning for a role in your nightmares. Solid stop. Totally worth it.

Beautiful views! We stopped here to see some last sights before we left. Very peaceful. They have benches to sit on...i liked to sit on the ground. If youre looking for something else to see, I highly recommend!

This is a short off road turn from the main US89, just few miles after the Welcome to Arizona sign. There's a huge parking unpaved lot. Excellent views of Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam

FREE. Breathtaking colors. Pictures don't do it justice. Absolutely worth the short drive off the highway. We had a crow eat out of our hand!

This is the perfect outlook just outside of Page, AZ. We went up in the afternoon to have a look but better yet we woke up in the middle of the night we went up again you see the stars and milky way. Our last morning we watched the sunrise from here. It's only a few miles away with a good road and plenty of parking. There's a gate at_highway but we found it open at all times a day and nothing posted regarding times it's open.

I had found out that a friend died a day before my visit here, and I cannot express the solitude and peace that I found on the overlook here. I sat here for quite some time and peace just washed over me. I cannot wait to go back and visit with a fresh new perspective. If you are in the area, go, take the time and breath in the scenery. It makes you wonder when overlooking such beauty the survival it took for many to cross these great lands.

another scenic spot if you're in the area! it's not even THAT cold yet but the wind was blowing like 25mph and that made it freezing lol beautiful to see the lake powell and canyons and sky connect so peaceful! can't imagine how much prettier it would be on a sunny day or a nice colorful sunset/ sunrise action

Came here at night around 10pm. It was a great spot to take night-time shots of the sky. 4 stars for night, but I would say it's maybe a 2-3 stars during the day. There's nothing particularly special about it during the day.

Breathtaking and picturesque views that are worth the price of admission. I inadvertently received the Gold Star and Veteran National Parks and Recreational Land lifetime Pass so, if you qualify it may behoove you to take up the offer, if you haven't already. Either way, The Park is worth a look!

A solid scenic point for a few pictures. We randomly found this on google maps and decided to stop by. There is a dirt parking area and this place has some decent views of the nearby water. People come and go every 10-20 minutes so finding a spot isn't too bad.

Beautiful views of Lake Powell and surrounding area. The low water level of the lake is alarming! To get to the scenic overlooks, you are entering Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and there is a park entry fee. It's a pleasant scenic drive, and there are several overlooks to stop at along the way.

It's just a little bit off the main road, a straight street steep up and once at the top you get the most amazing view!! Don't drive just by but make a quick stop!

This place is good for scenic overlook of lake Powell and marina. There is a entree fee, we had national park pass. First pullover after entering the park from page entrance. There are few benches and shelter if are here on a hot sunny day. I love this place !!

This is located in the Glen Canyon National Recreational Area. It is free to go to which is awesome. You get an amazing 360 view of Lake Powell and the surrounding areas. It's definitely worth a visit. We did his right after we visited Antelope Canyon. Why four stars? When I went it was very very windy, so be prepared for a lot of wind if you decide to go. Also, I was told there would be picnic areas, but there really aren't. There is a place to sit, but my husband and I were hoping we could sit down and have lunch with actual tables. It would have been challenging with the wind but I wish they would have had something here. So instead we just sat in the car and ate, which was a lovely view as well.

Just beautiful!! All of Lake Powell is breathtaking! If you haven't visited then I highly suggest you do!

Nice elevated look out point of Lake Powell and surrounding area. It is located off HWY 89 about 10 minutes north of Page, AZ. Plenty of parking spaces that can even accommodate RVs of all sizes.

Great place to make a pit stop and see the vast views of Lake Powell. So glad the owner of a fish & chips place (Nemo in Page) recommended that we stop here for some photos of the lake. Parking lot is pretty big too.
