Beautiful home with beautiful views. We had a party of 11 and we fit perfectly. This house has so much space, I got lost in it my first day there! It's like a 2 min. Drive to front st. And the beach. I definitely recommend this to everyone. Owners were so nice as well.

Worked well for our multi ganeration family vacation. We rented the whole house for 2 weeks. 2 families with 2 kids each. Adult couple. And us grateful grandparents. Each family had a space that worked well for their needs. Pool, hot tub and bbq lounging area were great. Within walking distance of Front St shops and Old Lahaina Lu'au (for walking home after unlimited drinks!)

Cozy, comfy, scenic views, private pool, comforts of home on your vacation getaway. Located close to historic downtown Lahaina, top restaurants and shopping. The beach is just a short drive away, and all your beach necessities are provided for your stay!! Great value!!

Yelp
Wai Ola Vacation Paradise is a wonderful alternative to a hotel. They describe themselves as an elegant 5,000 sq. ft. home with five units, each with their own private entrance and bathroom as well as a separate "honeymoon" cottage. You have the option of renting the entire property or an individual unit. For about the price of a nicer hotel, you get the creature comforts of home, privacy and quite as well. My girlfriend (ex) and I went here and Jim and Kim Wicker, who run the place and live downstairs, were perfect hosts and even lent us a tour CD that guided us along the infamous Road To Hana. Sure there are hotels right on the beach, but you wont have to dodge screaming kids running through the halls dripping from the pool or ocean, or worry about noise from shared walls. Instead you get peace and comfort. You may also get surprise fresh made treats now and then, that Kim bakes up and leaves for you on the counter after cleanup. Wai Ola is plenty close to everything. You're about 1/2 mile from the ocean and all the Lahaina hot spots. If you plan on going to Lahaina, Maui Hawaii, Try this place and you'll be very pleased. Look for me in the guest book and have a great time.

Yelp
We stayed in the unit that had a half kitchen (fridge, microwave, no stove), a living room with a fold out futon, bathroom, and 1 bedroom. It was comfortably furnished and very clean. You definitely need a car if you are going to stay there, it is close to everything but not really within walking distance of anything. The cost was great; it was about the price of a hotel, but you get a pool, use of laundry facilities, you can borrow the coolers and beach stuff they have, and you get fresh baked treats. The only caveat is they have an extensive list of rules, and the owners can come across a little snarky in the enforcement of them. Like the pool can only be used at this time and that time, or you can't put stuff on the chairs by the pool, or the laundry hours are from this time to that time. They do it to create a relaxing and enjoyable environment for all the guests, and it works, but I think if they were just a bit less rigid and militant, people would still mind the rules and they wouldn't seem so aggressive. Overall it's a great alternative to a hotel, and if you like to buy your own food and plan your day according to your needs, not those of a hotel, this is the place for you. Star Market supplied the lau lau and poke, we borrowed some movies from Kim and Jim, and stayed in one afternoon, a welcome break from the activity on our 10 day Hawaii honeymoon. It's a good place to stay. Check it out.

Yelp
"Its was our last time here, we LOVE it and they are family to us." Well its the end of an era. We have stayed at Wai Ola with Kim & Jim since our honeymoon in 2008. We have returned to celebrate our anniversary every year since. The property is very quiet, and very clean. Its about a 10 minute drive from downtown Lahaina Town, or a 20 minute walk to the safeway market. My wife and I have stayed in every room there, this time around it was the Malanai Hideaway, the slanting roof was very cool, all wood covered, in general the rooms are about 5 times larger than normal hotel rooms, so there's plenty of room to spread out and nap in between day trips or beach excursions. I always tell people to stay here for many reasons, Kim & Jim become like family to you after just one visit, they are so cool and relaxed, very welcoming. Also they give you: Wifi, beach towels, beach chairs, unbrellas, coolers, snorkel stuff, boogie boards, laundry facilities, all for FREE! Think about that the next time you check out of the big chain hotel and get sticker shocked by fees. Oh and Kim bakes goodies and leaves them in your room...ask for the Blueberry stuff its awesome! Go local! They are located above Lahaina Town with great ocean views, a nice sized pool, 2 great large grills with burners and a hot tub. We chose this place in 2008 because of the reviews in TripAdvisor, we saved so much money. Plus Kim & Jim over the years have given us advice on Beaches, tourist spots WORTH going to, dining, shopping and sightseeing. They have become like family to us, so why is this our last year? My wife is pregnant and they are an adults only resort, which was another main reason we initially chose Wai Ola. However we joked that when we return, we shall camp out in the driveway in a van as to not break the rules. Our final night was a sad one, tears were shed, man hugs were given. We promised to return, even just to visit (and steal Kim's baked good of the day). This is the type of place you think doesn't exist anymore. Great customer service, clean rooms, safe area, and wonderful hosts. I suggest you stay here if you're considering a trip to Maui, go local and laugh at the people paying for resort fees just to park their rental car! Thank you TripAdvisor for bringing Kim & Jim into our live! Rest assured we will go back and visit Kim and Jim soon.

Yelp
I did not actually end up booking/staying at this home, but wanted to say how wonderful Jim was in communicating. He answered all questions and more, was flexible and incredibly responsive. I appreciate the ease of working with him, even if we didn't end up staying here.

Yelp
We loved our stay here! Cute place with ocean view. Jim was amazing with communication via texting. We were greeted with a lovely fruit basket and three various muffins. The room had coffee beans and a grinder for delish fresh coffee each morning. Very comfortable, parking available - would stay here again!!!

Yelp
Very rude on the phone! Caught me off guard. It was off putting and like they don't want to be bothered. We will be staying somewhere else.
