The young Indian lady behind the bar is absolutely amazing. She provides excellent customer service and always serves with a beautiful smile. She is switched on, very fast, and highly efficient. She willingly helps deliver drinks to customers, clearly understands the working environment, and confidently demonstrates strong leadership skills. It’s inspiring to see young people take such pride in what they do. Keep up the amazing work.

We booked dinner at Mazzola’s restaurant for 10 people. When booking, we were asked if we could come half an hour later than initially wanted. On arrival there was a very large group being served their meals. It was clear that the staff had considered the impact the large group might have on us being served - a sign of good customer service in my mind!! The guy operating front of house was excellent and accommodating. A simple menu but they do each part of it extremely well! Our food was amazing. We will be back!!

The pub smelt musty and wet mixed with cigarette smoke, ordered food and was just frozen supermarket food deep fried and was highly priced for the quality. Served drinks in plastic cups. The pub quiz night felt unorganised, the bathrooms were unclean and had puddles throughout. Not the experience we were hoping for. I hope it improves. 😞

I would leave 0 star if I could. Bouncer didn’t let us in for moving a gate (which didn’t have signs with where to go) then proceeded to threaten me and say he was going to jump me just for asking for a valid reason for not being let in. Waihi beach hotel you need to seriously consider who you hire. I was more than disappointed and will never come back.

Well, service was great Ayla was our waitress and she was lovely. The food however, we booked after seeing this amazing restaurant level menu on the website to be greeted with burgers, pizzas and bar snack. Food was a let down but we still enjoyed our night out

Im disgusted in the duty managers behaviour tonight. I got cussed out and made to leave before id taken a sip of my drink for "disrespecting" her. When I asked how I got no answer and screamed at to leave, I tried asking what id done wrong and communicate but she wanted to scream at my so I walked away to drink my drink and get out because I felt grossly uncomfortable. We spent less than 10 minutes in her altogether. Then the maori male at the bar began shouting slurs about me so my friend told him off and they lost it so myself, my five year old, my partner and bestfriend finished our drinks and tried to leave. When trying to leave we for followed out by ONE worker and three male PATRONS. they were yelling because partner had an open bottle, when we screamed back that he either was allowed to take eit or finish it there she and one of the men got up in our faces with threats. He finished his drink and she called the police, so we parked on the road side to wait. Hilariously once they showed up they said that they had issued them with warnings and we shouldn't have been treated that way. It was horrible, unprofessional and immature. And to the table of men who sat and watched, you're pathetic for letting that happen to 22/24 year olds especially in front of my 5 year old at only 7 something at night when all we wanted was to play a game of pool before going home. Gross.

This was the poorest place I have even been to. Their security guards were beyond unprofessional. They would not let us in due to a poor show of signage which led to one of our friends moving a gate to get into the car park where the venue led too - accidentally to which she profusely apologised for - (not into the venue) to which they didn’t allow any of our group in at the actual gates and then proceeded to let in complete randoms without id-ing them (tickets or actual id). They were abusing their power and authority and proceeded to threaten our friend saying verbatim, “if he comes back we will take off our vests and show him what he deserves”, (50 year old’s threatening a 23 year old with beating him up for nothing?) all because he apologised saying that we misunderstood, we were sorry and asking why we wouldn’t be allowed in. It was a complete over reaction and ridiculous abuse of power. I cannot believe a place like this would hire such rude people especially when their job is to look after the people coming. Because of this situation, I highly do not not recommend this place and I am thoroughly disappointed and disgusted with their professionalism.

A group of 15 people took my 18 year old nephew to the pub for his first time him being the youngest the rest of us including his parents all in our mid to late 40s and 50s firstly got denied entry as although he turned 18 that day they said he couldn’t go into the premises until the next day. After several conversations they allowed us in and when his mum the sober driver returned after dropping some people home they wouldn’t allow her entry as it was a little after 10.30pm bearing in mind his mother and the sober driver for us. Our group all left which left a total of maybe 20-30 people left in the pub. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour

Great place for lunch. We tried the fish and chips for grown ups and kids. Our 3-year old gobbled that down! Yum! Pulled beef burger was also very tasty. And a playground and gelato stand in the yard were a plus for a family. Very chic, but relaxed decor. Comfy couch seating.

Absolutely terrible place. No care whatsoever for clients. Wife and I waited about an hour for food even when the place was empty and the employees couldn't be asked to care or follow up

Dropped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Great menu and nice setting. Love the range of drinks available. Staff are brilliant.
