May2025 A shopping complex that pretty much contains mostly Japanese establishments with a few other local places. The most busy area would be the food court where you would find a variety of Japanese restaurants, a matcha place and a bar, and then some other types of cuisine.

There is so much to do, and, shop and eat. We were a bit disappointed that we were not closer to the beach. We found a place with garlic shrimp that was amazing. It was a fun four hours. We got some Hawaiian dresses and flower hair clips. The dresses are beautiful. My daughter got a black dress with a blue flower and a purple with big flowers. I got a dress with small red flowers and palm leaves and a black dress with large purple flowers. We also got some hair clips with flowers.

A nice clean area there are 2 travel lounges on the second floor and the smallest postal outlet I have ever seen. The first and second floor has some nice shops, including a Sephora. The basement floor has some nice Asian restaurants.

Google
Visited Stix Asia food court just reopen recently with renovations - if offers choices of several restaurants most of them Japanese style. The food court is down escalator in the basement of the building. Upper stories are department stores, and formal sit-down restaurants.

Buho Bar/Grill at this shopping plaza is an excellent venue for dancing, drinks and food. Saturday is salsa/bachata/merengue night with Eddie Ortiz & Son Caribe (vocals by our fav Cynthia).

The security staff member stationed by the elevator on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 8:45 PM was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. If you dislike your job, that’s understandable, but showing a little compassion wouldn’t hurt.

Google
The building itself is lifeless. I went to a spa for a facial. It's really just a sales gimmic. Trying to sell 11,000 dollar red light machines. It's also a crystal store.. lol. Overall, hard no!

Google
Hawaii tour experts are located in here and they provide the best tours and activities on the island with from what I have seen the best prices! Starbucks is also located in the building with Armani exchange and many other stores! Good place to go to get out of the heat and they provide free Wi-Fi

Yelp
Wonderful building that offers the best parking rates in waikiki! This building as well as its parking lot is safe, well lit, clean and opens till late. I am a local and I park here a lot when I visit waikiki. 100% recommend!!

Yelp
Waikiki Shopping Plaza is located conveniently in the center of the hustling Waikiki area. There are many shops and dining places here. I think there is nearby garage parking for patrons as well. It should be a must stop when you are visiting Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Yelp
Today I took a trip to Waikiki looking for a special gift for Mom's. I parked in the garage. The rate is $5 for 5 hours or $10 for 10 hours. I got off the elevator and was surprised that many of the shops were still closed. I took a stroll outside to see many side shops were open. I did some window shopping as well as looked at some magnificent jewelry that I will come back for.

Yelp
Nice touristy place to go visit and hang out. They have the best shaved ice I've ever tasted.

Yelp
Very clean! They have a Starbucks in there and a rental car post a Roxy store and many more. Very Convenient.

Yelp
STIX was a great spot to eat and have a drink. The Wifey and I went over there for some good food! There are so many options and the newly renovated place has a very comfortable yet lively vibe. Great job! A new spot for us to enjoy in Waiks!

Yelp
Great place visit, walk around shop and eat. Parking can be difficult to find at times.

Yelp
Nice plaza. Good shops, not as crowded as others but the location is prime. Floors are clean, shops are nice and not that expensive. Shop employees are nice and friendly. Helpful too if you have questions and need recommendations.

Yelp
This 5-level shopping mall is a mix of businesses - travel services, restaurants, clothing, jewelry, and other retail. The vibe is very quiet and dreary compared to other malls in Waikiki. The interior decor is reminiscent of buildings in Asia with boring white tile everywhere. HIGHLIGHTS: - Armani Exchange - Tanaka of Tokyo - Love Culture - Victoria's Secret - U.S. Post Office

Yelp
This is a great indoor mall that is very well cleaned and maintained. there is a lower level that has a food court and restaurants, and 2 or 3 levels of stores. There are a few entrances and exits but otherwise its very nice and seemingly uncomplicated to navigate. A lot of shops, food court, restaurants, clean restrooms and a lot of seating areas! I cannot attest to the service at many of the shops, but this marketplace was very nice and maintained.

Yelp
The shopping center was adorable! We went and got lobster rolls from a cute little corner of the center. Royal lobster!- delicious. However I did not make sure to back up an extra six inches into my parking spot. I was issued a warning violation for obstructing a drive path, they took down my car information. As I do not live in Hawaii, I was shocked to see the piece of paper. The security seemed to have been in a bad mood and must've been bored since the center isn't super busy. If you go here make sure to pull back that extra six inches, or the renta cop security might follow you around, and issue a Violations because they hate their lives. Do not park in the parking garage, just go somewhere else.

Yelp
After having late lunch at Marukame Udon Sivilay and I took a walk to one of the Starbucks which so happens to be located on the street level of Waikiki Shopping Plaza. There are several tables and chairs located on the street level for individuals who want to sit down and chat while enjoying their drink from Starbucks. There are stairs leading downstairs but that section is currently under renovation. I'm curious on what businesses will occupy the lower level once the renovation is done. Restroom facilities are located on the second level. The ladies restroom was clean. I did take notice of a few jewelry kiosks and clothing stores. Tanaka of Tokyo is located on the third floor. Buho Cocina Y Cantina is located on the fifth floor/rooftop of Waikiki Shopping Plaza. I remember many years ago there was a bookstore located on the third floor. Sadly the bookstore is no longer around. 103/200

Yelp
When I go upstairs to 6th floor parking,I heard kitten was crying loudly. I was wondering is that cat's voice ? Because this Waikiki area and shopping mall 6th floor parking. But I saw two workers (Mr.Michael R)and maintenance person(Mr.M?) were running around in a parking to catch that cat.. They said they don't want get the cat injured. Both of Gentle workers tried to get him.. Yey! finally, they caught a kitten! Michael said they will keep him underground of shopping plaza, and he try to find some one to take care of that kitten. He didn't want to just send the cat to humane society. I asked him to keep that cat for one night, and I post that happenings on FB. So,another very kind gentleman(Mr,Chris T) came to shopping plaza immediately (around 11:00 pm) to pick him to find a foster home for him!!! Thank you so much to rescue him and save a baby kitty. Those 2 workers (Michael and Marcelo) are awesome! They are so nice and dependable workers!!!!

Yelp
I've used this place before for their fixed 10hr parking. Did it lots of times on a Tuesday night from 5:30 to 11:30PM. Would pay the fixed price no problem. THIS WEEK, they've gone and pulled a dirty, dirty trick. I go to pick up my car at 11:30 and they charge me $27 instead of the posted $15. Their excuse? They've added some tiny print under their big $15 sign, that reads "Must enter before 4:30PM". What a load of B.S. I disputed this underhanded dirty deal. Thankfully my credit card company agreed.

Yelp
We parked here one night to walk around Waikiki. If you arrive after 5pm, you can park for a flat rate of $7. You do not have to make any purchase to receive this discount. Perfect location for walking around town. The mall itself is huge with many high end retailers and shopping venues. If it had not been for hurricane Lane we would have definitely come back for the weekend.

Yelp
An indoor mall with mostly smaller shops. Simple design. Easy to navigate. Escalators are positioned to minimize walking. 5 floors above ground. One below. The floor below ground level is a Japanese food court. A lot of shops are clothing and accessories. About half the shops are for Japanese products and services. Many are mom-and-pop stores. Plenty of seating. Massage chairs that require payment. Bathrooms require keys from businesses.

Yelp
The old Waikiki Shopping Plaza is a slightly odd place. For the most part it's populated with fast food chain restaurants and smaller privately owned shops. It has an Asian-esque arcade type feel with all the lights and such which surround central eating areas. Almost all people just walk on by without taking a look inside. For the most part, I would say this may be a good idea, with a few notable exceptions: Hapa Dog (http://www.yelp.com/biz/hapa-dog-honolulu) Located right at the opening down the escalator is a great alternative Hot Dog with a Asian spin on things. My favorite is the "Wassap" Dog. It's only really open weekdays for the working lunch crowd, so time your visit accordingly. Kiwame Ramen (http://www.yelp.com/biz/kiwami-ramen-honolulu) One of many pretty good ramen shops in the Waikiki area. Kama'aina discount with ID. Ume Dip Noodles seem to be a draw here. Alter Ego (http://www.yelp.com/biz/alter-ego-honolulu) This store that mainly sells Japanese brand t-shirts with the kid with a huge afro and pick in them also sells local brands like "Flip the Bird." It's a good place if your looking for more trendy Japanese omiyage.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years, I had no idea that Waikiki Shopping Plaza was home to Yokocho. I do remember various shops or eateries on the basement level but nothing like how it is today. The renovation that was done, has vastly improved the look as well as the feel of the old food court area. Having been here several times in the past few months, I have yet to explore the other floors of this shopping plaza. However, from what I have seen, it looks as if this place has various shops that cater to the tourists. Also, they have their own parking garage which has a flat rate of $7 during certain hours. Not bad for Waikiki.
google avatar

Yelp
The Japanese food here is so authentic and so is the set up of the place! I got two matcha parfaits and a drink at Nana's (SO GOOD!! Perfect for sharing or on your own, frankly) and went to Yokocho and Kazan Ramen. The tuna nigiri plate I had at Yokocho actually gave me a mind explosion and the ramen at Kazan had the best broth, noodles, and pork. I would probably live in this plaza if I could! Also all the staff are friendly (at literally every restaurant)!

Yelp
The parking prices make no sense and have been charged different prices on two separate occasions. Before you park ask someone to clarify the prices. Got there at 1035 am which has a $7 flat rate till 1:30pm or something... and then we left around 5:30 pm thinking since there is a $7 flat rate after 5pm the price would be $7??? Nope $34. Also last time when I came we parked before 1:30pm and left during the in between time and had to pay the $3 per whatever they charge like what and no one in the entire shopping plaza could answer our parking questions... okay so it does or doesnt matter what time you come in? Cuz we came in during $7 flat rate and left during $7 flat rate but paid $34???

Yelp
The best part of this place is the walk-down food court- Aqua Cafe (one of our favorites), Subway, Baskin Robbins, China Express- chinese food kiosk, Pearl's Korean BBQ (had it in Maui- very good), and Pizza Hut/Taco Bell. The sidewalk level has LesportSac, Guess, and this is where the weekly events are held (contests, hula demos). The second level has Local Fever (good place for cute cheap clothes, kinda like Forever 21) and Alter Ego (high priced novelty t-shirts). One level- Big Kahuna's Marketplace- has a tourist trap feel with its overpriced items at about twenty-five kiosks- some appear empty but the employees are manning multiple kiosks. One level is apparently at a price war with each other and the prices for little gifts are pretty competitive. One restaurant that is really good and not bad if you use a coupon, is Tenaka of Tokyo- similar to Benihana, but way cheaper. Undergoing a massive addition, Sephora (ooh) is set to open in September 2010.

Yelp
It's not the worst shopping center but it's not a good one either, although it really depends on your perspective. You'll find some mainstream shops on the first and second levels along with a food court on the lower level. A few restaurants also exist on the top levels. Surprisingly, there are some vendors on the third floor that look like they originated from International Marketplace next door. Looked like they were supposed to have some arcade alongside the 3D miniature golf attraction, but the last few times visiting, it looked like a lot of the video games were in need of repair. Also, not sure why the center had to spend so much money on the huge monitor screen on the lobby level.
google avatar

Sandy Q.

Yelp
I wasn't a fan of this shopping plaza in the Waikiki area. Besides the food court (lowest level), it's pretty much dead. There are a few stores in this plaza but nothing too memorable. If you're looking for souvenirs, gifts or name-brand stores, they don't have it here. If you're looking for a place to sit and relax, there are a few benches in the food court to sit but 99% of the tables are reserved for paying customers only. The only thing I like about this place is the restroom. The restrooms are clean and updated.

Yelp
Awesome mall with some of my favourites. Armani exchange since the one back home closed....Lululemon & Victoria's Secret ;) Always brownie points to surprise the missus after all the meal prep for my princess.. Like the hours too, open til 11pm.

Yelp
Parking can be expensive and a pain in the ass. But this review isn't for the parking or for the mall itself, but for the security an maintenance guys, specifically Mike and Elliot (security), and Marcelo (maintenance). Why them? Because my car's entire front right wheel decided to take a field trip off the suspension as I rounded down the 5th floor. It was a loud and jarring metal clang and bang, and my Volvo suv came to a sudden stop. Not ten seconds after this, a service door directly ahead of me opened, and out peered Marcelo, who saw my shocked and confused expression. He motioned for me to stay put and that he would call for help. Apparently, he had just started his shift when he heard the commotion! I put on my emergency lights and e-brake, and stepped out of my car to see that the wheel had come off the ball bearing entirely and that the weight of my car was squarely on my crooked wheel. To make a 4.5 painful saga of failed tow trucks and woeful roadside service short, Mike and Elliot were with me within minutes, making sure I was okay and started directing traffic around me from 6pm until past 10. They also had Marcelo retrieve cones to facilitate traffic around my disabled vehicle. Mike in particular was very caring and periodically checked on me to see the status of the tow trucks, and he was very understanding and compassionate to my predicament. Every time I tried to apologize for the inconvenience, he would assure me that all they wanted to do was make sure nothing happened to me while I was waiting for a tow truck. I know it's their job, but Mike's sincerity was genuine and allowed me to be a bit less stressed. He also reminded me that I was very lucky that this happened in a parking garage rather than while out driving on the road. At the time I was sitting there for hours waiting for a tow truck, it sure didn't feel lucky, but I was grateful for the view of a silver lining. When I finally did get rescued by Liberty Towing, Mike also made sure that I didn't get charged for parking after 6, because I had been stuck another 4 hours in the garage beyond my control. I was so relieved for that unexpected bit of kindness! If the owners/managers of this building and parking garage ever read this, I want you to know that Mike, Elliot, and Marcelo are phenomenal gentlemen. They were so kind, quick-thinking, respectful, and comforting during such a stressful time. Not once did they make me nor let me feel bad for my car crapping out in the parking deck! Please give them due commendation. I can't thank them enough for ensuring mine and the other drivers' safety!

Yelp
The shopping plaza is definitely targeted to the tourist realm. The stores are upper class and therefore highly priced. I'm not too thrilled with the food court here, limited...no dessert! It's very clean and the workers everywhere are nice and welcoming. It's huge, there's three different buildings, A, B, C and its multi levels. I've been up to the fourth floor of building B. don't know if all the buildings have 4 levels. If you park in the structure get it validated !
google avatar

Todd T.

Yelp
Small shopping plaza with a few good shops. This review is for the free Polynesian show which is on Tuesday nights. They first have a short show on the first floor then they go up to the third floor to continue to show. I think its a way to draw business to the kiosks on the third floor. No one stopped by to check out the kiosks, I don't know how they survive running a kiosks on the third floor at WSP, the rent must be really cheap there.
google avatar

Chihiro N.

Yelp
This place is rather filthy. Beware if you are eating at their basement food court because you will see baby roaches crawling on the table and little birds sitting on the other side of the table glaring at your food. They have decent food selections, such as Korean, bentos, and sandwiches so I suggest you take out and eat it else where. (Like at the Royal Hawaiian food court :P) I haven't really had the chance to explore the entire mall, but with the addition of Sephora, the mall looks a little better. The other side still looks old and icky though...I saw that they will be opening Victoria's Secret in the Fall (which probably means next summer) so high hopes for that. :)
google avatar

Kimo K.

Yelp
Love Culture died ... Tried having morning starbucks there .... The music is on a loop and is a mix of Whitney Houston and slack key makes me want to jump in front of the noisy tour buses that pollut Kalakaua... Just now Polynesian Hospitality bus must have been doin 50 ... Makes me want to move to Maui
google avatar

Nancy T.

Yelp
This is a horrible excuse for a mall. It's pretty much completely deserted and I can see why. The stores are mainly businesses, like travel agencies or wireless phone shops. They have a FEW actual shopping stores, but they're all fobby and catered towards Japanese tourists, I think. Definitely not worth visiting!
google avatar

Thi L.

Yelp
I don't understand this place.... It's like floors and floors of random things like restaurants, beauty saloon, clothing stores, crafts, food court.
google avatar

Calvin John B.

Yelp
Not a lot of businesses that I'd shop for in the Plaza, but there's a convenient ABC store! The food court has a lot of good selection, but the prices are hiked up because of its location. If you work there, you might be able to get discounts at other shops/restaurants as well, but you may have to ask around. Tip(s): 1) The escalator going to and from the bottom floor goes in reverse to the ones going up. There's not too much to explore unless you want to buy Hawaii items that you'll more than likely find on the sidewalk stands anyway. 2) Nightly shows in the lobby and/or the usual street performers.
google avatar

Cy C.

Yelp
Its not a horrible mall but its not a great mall either. Well I gets it depends on your perception. I have two words...tourist trap. As a local there isn't anything at this mall that would make me come back. Seriously I walked in there and asked myself where am I. Its an interesting layout of floors and floors of random stores. Now there maybe some pretty good places to eat, but I'm in Waikiki so much other choices out the door. Now for a tourist this may be appealing. I was told since the International Market Place lost some space some vendors kiosk opened up here. Now I do see some potential if they get a lot more vendors here to open up kiosk it could be a tourist destination. Seriously spend more money getting more vendors instead of paying for that huge monitor screen.
google avatar

Innah H.

Yelp
This is only for the food court. Grylt is gone, the musubi cart is gone, the ramen place seems to be closed a good amount of time. Honestly, all that's left are Arby's, Subway, Pearls, the dimsum place, Island Cafe, and the health foods store. Don't waste your time, there's nothing that amazing about the food stalls that are left. Just go across the street to the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center's food court.
google avatar

Shay F.

Yelp
The only good thing about this place is the Kiwami ramen shop on the bottom floor. Other than that...there isn't much to see.

Vicky M.

Yelp
DO NOT PARK HERE! They have a flat rate parking fee until 1:30 pm. But if you lose your ticket, it is $40 which is TOTALLY UNREASONABLE! There is no overnight parking, so there is no way we could have been there longer than the morning.
google avatar

Arlene D.

Yelp
Starbucks moved from the former lower level food court to the Kalakaua street level at the Waikiki Shopping Plaza. New location is much nicer! Love Culture now located at former food court location of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza.
google avatar

Byoung Kyu S.

Yelp
Not much here worth checking out. Go to International market if you want ot get Food Court food. 2-stars because there is a Starbucks here so I can check email.
google avatar

Inigo M.

Yelp
If you like to share your overpriced plate lunch with little brown insects also known as roaches, feel free to dine at the atrium with the wooden tables. Free Polynesian dance show at night with tanned muscles and gyrating, grass-skirted hips.
google avatar

Darrell K.

Yelp
A multiple level shopping centers with some souvenirs shopping. There use to be a food court downstairs, but now it is gone. More and more expensive stores that cater to Japanese tourist is changing Waikiki in not a good way. Sigh. Nonetheless, walk in and find additional stores that you can't see from the sidewalk outside.
google avatar

Izumi K.

Yelp
There were a cheap, nice clothing store on the basement level and a Chinese restaurant on the 5th floor but they closed. There are some souvenir shops, business offices, a restaurant etc... but not so much things going on right now...
google avatar

Cynthia A.

Yelp
Not a bad little mall . Mostly fast food joints. I believe there's a 3 D mini golf thing upstairs that looks pretty cool. There's a cafe on the bottom floor that serves one heck of a flavorful burger. Good to stop by once and continue your travels around Oahu
google avatar

Maggie C.

Yelp
This Mall has a lot of random shops. I don't really care too much about it. I only come for the food court
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
The shopping center it's is fine. It's a great place to park being right in the middle of Waikiki. When it came to getting our parking validated no one in any store knew who validated. Each store would tell us another store validated and when we asked, they did not and would tell us somewhere else. It was very frustrating that each store does not know who validates in their building.
google avatar

Duong U.

Yelp
Starbucks on the center of the complex. 2nd floor has some shops. 3rd floor kiosks of all sort of gifts
google avatar

'Chastity A.

Yelp
I used to work in the facility; there was a major change of shopping plaza employees of course like any job. Obviously I don't employ there no more but anyways I was just going to get a coffee on my break thought id use the restroom first (they now have access codes to get in) I'm already on the 2nd floor, I asked the housekeeping if he could let me in the restroom he told me no and I needed to go to a store to get the code. I wasn't underdressed or anything. I understand that's your policy but he couldn't just put in the code for me, he didn't even have to tell me. I just needed to use the restroom. So he made me go all the way back down to Starbucks which keep in mind ALWAYS has a long line but just to get the access code when he could've easily let me in. If he didn't trust me then just put it in for me and wait outside. I didn't look suspicious, didn't have a bag with me just my cellphone and card holder. Like what in the world would I do in the restroom that would be so foul that he couldn't use good judgement I obviously had to use it. I honestly appreciate every housekeeper no matter where they work but this guy I tell you. Make me not want to do my business in this building. There's 100000 Starbucks in Waikiki. I chose to come here. There's 100000 food places I chose to come here on my break. SMDH.
google avatar

Ryan S.

Yelp
It's really stepping it up as far as stores that are in this plaza. There will be a Mexican restaurant opening up very soon. As an employee in this plaza, I like how every floor has a bathroom & a beautiful break room for plaza employees.
google avatar

Diana N.

Yelp
I came here because my friend's sister was teaching a hula class on the second floor (next to the Big Kahuna). They contract with dancers to give free lessons to draw people into the plaza. I can see why they need to do that, considering the shopping is only okay and for food choices, I would go to the International Market Place. There are many jewelry stands on the second level with custom hand made jewelry (= $$$) and other fun things.
google avatar

Huy V.

Yelp
Same stuff as in all the other numerous shopping centers around. A little crowded.
