Usually public swimming only pays 30rb, now the rules too complicated, pay 50rb for voucher swimming and snacks. It's not really a recommendation for local tourists who want to swim. I think its not worthy for that price, pls fix this. Too many rules, and getting upset before the exchange, and the service isnt good.

The hotel is a bit out of town. There are no shops in the area. I don't understand why the prices are so high (for Indonesia) and they would not budge on the price at all even though the resort was empty. As others have said, we were the only people staying there and it felt quite strange at night walking to the restaurant. It feels like it was a busy resort 10+ years ago. It has lots of potential espeically if they lowered the price it would be busier. The pool is huge and very nice. It was fun chatting to the locals who pay to use the pool at weekends. The egg plant fritters were tasty. The staff were friendly.

This hotel is quite OK. The rooms are confortable and clean with a decent bathroom, good and clean beds.||The breakfast the first day was 'finished', nothing left for us. After a little negotiation, the staff made us a nice pancake and fresh fruit. Next day all was fine with breakfast.||The restaurant is ok with good selection of dishes. Just don't be too much in a hurry :-)||The hotel grounds are vast and the hotel gave an empty feeling as it was probably empty :-) Still the staff was friendly and the grounds kept clean. We also had some laundry done here, which was perfectly done.||Definitively not the best hotel ever, but after 10 days touring in Flores, it was a nice place to relax and recharge for a day or so. The kids have spend many hours in the pool.

This resort hotel will make you forget that you are actually in the city. It design like a garden with some walking path. Although the beach is not too long, due to some abrasive, the view is quite beautiful especially at sunrise and sunset. The foods and beverages are not the best, though it's sufficient enough to please our tastebuds. The room rates are not expensive and some are even backpacker friendly. This hotel also offer some water activities.

We stayed here with our three boys,  ages 13, 9 and 9 for two nights and really enjoyed it. I was a bit worried after reading about the quality of accommodation in Maumere, especially given my experience with the rest of Flores, but this place is good. We had a double room, into which we crammed a hotel mattress plus two thermarests, so it was pretty crowded, but we are trying to save money. The beds were good, as was the bathroom. The breakfast is an Indonesian style buffet with toast, rice, eggs, coffee and tea, all OK and average for Flores. The pool is huge and clean and the boys loved it. The beach in front is also pretty, with minimal garbage, by Indonesian standards. The hotel is a little out of town so we ate at the restaurant for every meal. The Calamari are good, as are the eggplant goring and the Tempe goring. A transfer to the airport costs $100k IRD. I don't understand the bad reviews. I would definitely stay again. ||

I have stayed here 6 times. The staff are great , their English is not great but they try to help. If they came to Australia how many hotel staff would speak Bahasa Indonesian? The food is first rate and the kitchen staff always try to accommodate requests. At leas than $50AUD per room including a hot breakfast it is trasonably priced. If you are in Maumere go there!

Wailiti has every chance of being an exceptionally good hotel in Maumere. The pool is large, the beds too and the wifi is working. And prices are reasonable.||However, the place is deserted. We were there for 3 days and were the only people staying there for at least 2 of the nights, despite some 50 rooms. ||Wailiti does not, as far as I know, exist on booking.com, no signs on the hotel grounds are in English and if you do not speak a word of bahasa, you will be frustrated. The restaurant is uneven, sometimes the food was great but next time we ordered the same thing it did not taste good. ||If this is read by Wailiti management, here are a few recommendations:|* Employ a "host" who speaks good English and can help those tourists that do not speak bahasa. |* Write signs in English |* Clean up the beach, or build a small jetty so it is possible to also swim in the sea. |* Make sure that the kitchen holds the same standards whenever the kitchen is open. |* Get some nice furniture and soft lighting in the restaurant area. |* Market yourselves on booking.com and other hotel booking sites. ||We had a really nice time at Wailiti but think it is a shame that it was almost empty. The hotel has been highly recommended in the latest edition of lonely planet, but been talked down on trip advisor. We really think these simple changes will make a great difference for the all over impression of the hotel. |If you are only planning on staying 2 nights and have spent some time overland on Flores with early mornings at Kelimutu and elsewhere, this is a brilliant place to relax and catch up some sleep. ||

We stayed here for 2 nights because we didn't want to face the dumps in Maumere town! The room was large and comfortable, the AC worked well (in our second room) & the wifi was great when the power worked! They had a lot of bad weather whilst we were there. The food in the cafe was great & not too expensive considering the location, the staff were always friendly and courteous. ||||Our problems arose when we were checking out- we had given laundry 2 days previous and had to wait 30 mins before we were picked up for it to be dry. Also we had booked a taxi the day we had arrived to take us to the airport but they had forgotten- called up their 'taxi friend' who was busy (they said 'it is Christmas after all... which is why we booked in advance..) & then we ended up being taken there on 2 Ojeks with our big backpacks. They had also lost all our bills from the restaurant. ||||Considering we were (seemingly) the only guests there you would think they would make more of an effort, the staff were all lovely don't get me wrong but having no guests they seem to have forgotten what to do when some arrive!
