"Wailua Falls Best known from the opening credits of the 1970s TV hit Fantasy Island , this graceful 173-foot ribbon of whitewater remains one of the most accessible cascades on Kauai. While visible from the roadside, it's worth the third-of-a-mile trek to the overlook. When conditions are just right, a rainbow arcs from the falls' base into the mist. While the pool below can fill to 30 feet deep, dives have proven fatal here, so keep your feet planted solidly on the ground....and not just any ground! The county advises against hiking the steep and often muddy trail to the bottom."

Rainbow 🌈 falls - beautiful view of the falls with the rainbow. Need to improve the access road - it’s narrow with sharp curves and not enough parking space for visitors at the falls.

A fall along the side of the road. Quite interesting. Just a cute little falls. No proper view plot just be careful while you lean on the wall.

Best falls on the island for us, beautiful, big, cascading water into a pool, jungle landscape, easy access to see from parking lot. Wish we could hike to bottom but they stopped that after a tourist death.

Check it out. Just a 5 or so mile detour (one way in - one way out) at the absolute end of the road. Pretty cool to check out. You don’t need a long time there. Just a quick Chevy Chase look (from summer vacation) & photograph and you can move on. But it’s is worth seeing. Most waterfalls in Kauai are off in the distance or require a hike or helicopter ride or binoculars to see. You can drive right up to this one. Parking is tight. But people are always moving in/out so it’s not a problem. And the drive is really pleasant. You go right through the old plantation areas and have some nice scenery which you would likely only see if you went on the tubing tour. So if you have a car. Head out to Wailua Falls. Worth the 30 minutes.

Lovely double waterfall. Sad several have reviewed, the road leading to the falls is narrow with heavy vegetation in each side. Just slow down, it's not that far. Vegetation is also overgrown at the lookout so there were only a few feet of unobstructed views - but they made the drive worthwhile!

Go in the afternoon when the sun is behind you are you get a rainbow too! Good amount of parking. Watch out on the narrow road for the other crazy cars 😀

Nice waterfalls. We got there around noon on a Monday and people were coming and going so it was easy to get a parking spot. The trail has been closed for a while, so what you are able to see from the wall is limited.

Nice falls but the location on maps brings you to a look out. We couldn’t swim in there because it was unreachable and the water was too high at our time of visit. Nice if you’re just hoping to see it as a viewpoint. Parking area is tight.
