"Wailua Falls Best known from the opening credits of the 1970s TV hit Fantasy Island , this graceful 173-foot ribbon of whitewater remains one of the most accessible cascades on Kauai. While visible from the roadside, it's worth the third-of-a-mile trek to the overlook. When conditions are just right, a rainbow arcs from the falls' base into the mist. While the pool below can fill to 30 feet deep, dives have proven fatal here, so keep your feet planted solidly on the ground....and not just any ground! The county advises against hiking the steep and often muddy trail to the bottom."

I couldn't go to Kauai without seeing the waterfall made famous by Fantasy Island! Tiny parking lot and it was crowded. Beautiful views too! I just wish the sun had been shining!

You will see rainbow in a sunny day. Very nice place. Many wild animals. However, if you take Uber please be aware that the cellphone signal is bad.

It was astonishing to see a waterfall in person. parking lot is small but no wait time. Average stay and watch time is dshort, 5-10 mins. You can't really get a clear view from up.

Falls is decent view, not much hiking could be done around here. Parking is scarce.

Beautiful waterfalls and no hiking required! If you’re on a chill day after a bunch of adventures like we were, it’s perfect. You literally pull right up to it and park 50 ft away. Beautiful scenic view

A wonderful must see on your trip! It’s a gorgeous drive especially if you go EARLY! We went about 7:30 am local time and one of the only ones there. It’s so gorgeous, even when it’s not super voluminous!

Looking for something to see when Kauai? Wailua Falls is one of the best place to see. This place is easy to get to because it is a drive up waterfall. There is parking available and a view for you to look over and see the beautiful view. I wouldn’t recommend walking down because it is unsafe. This is a must see when visiting Kauai. Great for those who are handicapped, cannot hike or with families.

That’s a cool drive up to the dead end viewing spot. Some locals sell handmade jewelry and fruit in the lot…there’s pork and chicken on the road which makes it a fun arrival there. The fall is pretty and the views are great, we didn’t do it but it’s probably worth to hike down to the bottom to get better views.🤙🏽
