I grew up on this island. This is a fantastic place to hike. Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, is a must see if you are on the island of Kauai. A great place to spend your day. If you are into hiking, stop off at Koke'e State Park and visit the visitor informations center there. Pick up a map of hiking trails and have at it! Amazing views will be yours!

This was a great experience for my parents and I. The views were amazing, as were the trails.

Beautiful landscape, pretty good trails. Be aware of the new fee structure: $10 per car plus $5 per each person. Alternatively, if you're just going for the views, use some of the turnouts just before or after the lookout parking lot for almost identical views of the canyon. You can also park on the road in small pull outs close to the park entrance and avoid the $10 car fee. Careful when crossing the road.

太平洋のグランドキャニオンと言われるだけあって絶景でした。見学ポイントが何箇所かあります。天気も雲の流れが速く猫の目の様に変わりました。
