Waipu Cove Resort

Stayed for 2 nights with wife and 8 year old son. The staff was super kind and welcoming. Our suite had amazing wraparound views of the bay. Parking spot was free and right next to our suite. WiFi was a bit spotty. Comfy bed. Walk to the beach was 10 min. Wonderful cafe in 2-3 min walk. The town was beautiful as well. Short drive north to the hot water beach was fun. I really liked this place. We made sure to clean up and do our dishes as note said extra fee if you left dirty dishes. Would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful 9 days at the resort. The service was fantastic, really friendly and very helpful and the room really comfortable. It is in a great location with the Bream Bay at your doorstep. I have been coming here for 5 year and this year was the best. Fab and Rachel make you feel really welcome and feel really relaxed. The Cove restaurant across the road served up some great meals as well. Will be back next year.

Great rooms, comfy beds awesome pool and communal area. Great for the kids, close to all kinds of food and beach. Only down side is wifi is non existent. Would highly recommend and have already made bookings to go back.

We booked a 4 nights stay over easter, we checked the weather forecast just before travelling and realized there was a cyclone heading towards the area, we decided not to tow our caravan during this period, as it turns out there were 130km winds, power outages both at home and the camp ground, we were refused a refund and told ' we would only get a refund if some else booked our exact site ' |We find this unreasonable and unfair to say the least, we gave more than 48 hours notice as the danger and risk was to high. I see on social media this is a common complaint, we will be looking for better accommodation options in the future.

Stayed here a few times and never disappoints. Great rooms, very clean. Pool and spa are awesome

These rooms are well set up for a weekend away or a holiday, I was there for work so really just needed a bed. Has a well equipped kitchen, the only odd thing was i could shut the high windows in the bathroom so it was a bit noisy at the pool… but not late. Nice beach and track walks nearby and recommend the Cove for dinner, it’s just across the road!

Dont fall for Room 12!! They leave that for sucker that book via Expedia! What a disgrace, in such a nice place. The staff called us poor that we could not afford an upgrade... We paid $205 for room 12. What a disappointment and rip off. Never again.

If you like your bed sandy and If you like authoritarian hosts, then this is the place for you. Full of don’t do this, don’t do that, not welcoming at all. They treat their guests very poorly. Excessive rules and aggressive manner, even the welcome email is anything but. Whatever you do = don't hang clothes on the pool fence, but it is ok for the management to hang much larger pool covers to on the pool fence, hypocrites. |Phone coverge on ONE NZ is pretty much non-existent
