Our stay at Waira Suites Hotel in Leticia was truly exceptional! The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding—our room was spotless, and the common areas were always well-maintained, making our stay very comfortable. One of the highlights of our experience was Manchas, the hotel’s loyal guardian dog. He followed us during our walks around the city, always keeping a watchful eye to ensure we were safe. Not only that, but he even waited patiently outside our room while we were getting ready, as if making sure we were never left unprotected. To our surprise, Manchas even accompanied us across the border into Brazil, walking with us through Tabatinga and continuing to look after us as we explored. He would patiently wait outside while we did some shopping in the supermarkets, always ready to resume his role as our faithful companion. It was clear that Manchas was well-loved by the entire community of Leticia, as locals greeted him warmly wherever we went. The staff at Waira Suites Hotel was also excellent—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a clean, welcoming, and unique place to stay in Leticia, this hotel is a perfect choice! Highly recommended.

Manchas is the star of the show. The bestest good boy who has ever been. Seriously though, this hotel has a very high tier of service. It has two pools, a bar, a great restaurant and lots of areas to relax. The rooms are nice and the beds are fairly comfortable. The restaurant is probably one of the nicest and highest rates in the city and the hotel generally has fair prices for drinks. Service is quick with a smile. If I had a small complaint, I would have liked to have a beer at the pool with a book but no drinks are allowed in the pool area. Again manchas the hotels boss dog is a helpful member of staff he will even go on a walk around the city with you.

My recent stay at Waira Suites Hotel in Leticia was unfortunately disappointing. The booking process was initially problematic due to their website continually crashing, forcing me to use Booking.com instead. Upon arrival, the check-in was smooth, and the staff appeared friendly. However, the room I was assigned was less than ideal. Positioned at the end of the hotel in a dark corner, it featured a window facing the hallway rather than the outside, which was less than welcoming. Given its reputation as one of the better hotels in Leticia, my expectations were moderate. Nevertheless, the room’s basic amenities and noticeable wear and tear were underwhelming. The major issue, however, was the construction work happening during my stay. Workers were painting a mural by the pool and in the hallways close to my room, working throughout the night. They were not only loud but also played music at high volumes well into the early hours (3 AM), significantly disrupting my sleep. Despite lodging complaints, the noise continued without resolution. Additionally, during checkout, there was no apology offered for the disturbances, and the hotel was unable to organize a taxi for me, resulting in further inconvenience. For these reasons, I cannot recommend Waira Suites Hotel. The lack of consideration for guest comfort and poor handling of service disruptions significantly detracted from what could have been a pleasant stay. Stay tuned for my next review, where I’ll share a fantastic alternative just a few roads down from this location.

Nice enough hotel. AC rooms which is a blessing when you're returning from the Amazon, a nice restaurant, excellent breakfast, and extremely friendly staff. The hotel itself is pretty basic so don't expect frills of any sort. The wifi is terrible, you have to move around in the lounge area (no AC, happy mozzies!) to find the best signal. I would give it 3 stars but the staff is so friendly and helpful (a special shout out to the restaurant manager at breakfast) and the fact that there is WiFi at all ups this to a more deserving 4 stars! Will definitely stay here if I'm ever in Leticia again.

Stayed here twice this year. The rooms are very comfortable, but could use more lighting at night. The restaurant is extra special. Wonderful variety and excellent preparation. Guests have priority in the restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic! The kindness of the staff is unforgettable. Great menu options for breakfast and dinner (we didn’t have lunch at the hotel). Comfortable room for three (parents and kid). Clean and organized. The manager was always around. We love Princess and Manchas! We miss them dearly!

A very nice hotel with friendly staff who try to accommodate non Spanish speakers though we used Google Translate a lot. Some rooms don't have sockets but on our second stay there after a jungle trip there were lots in the better room we had.||Wifi is awful anywhere but reception and even there drops frequently. Not a great loss if part of your trip is to disconnect. ||Reasonable rates I think and the food is good.

Staff is incredible, food is delicious. They have 2 pools. Rooms with balconies. And a special thank you to Bernier Ismael for making our trip in Leticia so enjoyable and hassle/stress free. We very much appreciated him.. he's a great asset to the company. The hotel dog named manchas is such a lover too and would follow us everytime we left the hotel to keep us safe.
