We did the full package including a dinner. It was fantastic!!! The food was absolutely delicious. The performance was amazing the performers made you feel as though you were taken back in time to their ancestral homeland. The atmosphere was very authentic. The museums were on point and gave you a conceptual sense to the struggles of the people.

We had an amazing day at Waitangi Treaty grounds! Our tour guide, Crystal, was amazing! She gave us an amazing understanding of the historical significance of the grounds but also gave us a personal insight into what the place and culture means to her! I couldn’t recommend this enough!

Had a great experience with both the tour and the hāngī and concert. Tour guide for the tour was very knowledgeable and charismatic, while the hāngi and concert team were all extremely kind and inclusive. The experiences are definitely worth the price. The grounds are home to a wealth of knowledge and one fan easily spend an entire day exploring the various features, while the hāngī and concert experience were of the perfect length (about 3.5 hours; arrived at 5:30 pm for the welcome drink and left around 9:00 pm) and the food was fantastic (and nobody can go hungry with the amount provided). The concert was also great and different than the cultural experience, while being able to talk with the performers afterwards was another great source of insight. A must do in the region, especially the hāngī and concert (if one had to choose)

We highly recommend that everyone come to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. We did their 50-minute tour, it was very informative and interesting. Thanks to CC, our amazing guide!! She's a human encyclopedia! Knowledgeable and funny! The cultural show was fantastic. We enjoyed the traditional singing and dancing, as well as their explanations. They seem to genuinely enjoy sharing their cultural traditions with us. Our lunch in the cafe was delicious!! The museums were interesting and worth the time spent. And the entire grounds is just lovely, beautifully landscaped and mostly shady. Plan to spend the whole day there.If you have the time.

The Waitangi Treaty grounds are culturally significant but information here seems to be very sparse unless you jump on a guided tour. We were fortunate to arrive just after a tour started so we tagged on, however neither of our headsets were working making it difficult to hear. Our guide Cece was informative and obviously knew her stuff however. Without the guide you would not be able to find this information on the grounds which is a bit frustrating if you're a visual learner. Generally on the grounds there's not much to see. We were fortunate to witness one of the Waka's coming in which was amazing to watch, however if this hadn't of happened you could whizz round the grounds in 30 minutes. The cultural experience was great and I loved watching this. The Maori participating were obviously keen to share their culture and this shone through the performance. Generally, the price is steep for what you get at >$70 each.

Absolute must for anyone who loves learning about the history and culture of the places they visit. Learn a lot about the treaty and how it caused disputes between Pakeha (Europeans) and Māori as well as learning a lot about Māori culture.
