We stopped in here for a single night during a tour of the north island. It is a cosy bed and breakfast lodge and our room was comfortable and had a nice view and an outside seating area. The highlight though was the attentive service of our hosts Manci and Kunal. We chose to have dinner at the lodge which was not just the same sort of bulk produced fair you get everywhere but a painstakingly prepared home cooked curry. In fact it was the same meal they prepared for their own family. It was such a treat, the nicest meal we have had since we have been in New Zealand.

Welcoming friendly hosts. We arrived late and were offered Dinner an Amazing chicken curry. Great local knowledge and recommendations. Warm comfortable beds good shower pressure. Perfect location. We loved the hand made artwork.

We stayed there for One day after our visit to the glowworm caves. Rooms were really nice and cozy. They had an electric blanket and an air conditioner. The host was very friendly and gave us tips for our further journey. he even made us breakfast early because we had to leave early in the morning. We definitely would go back and stay with him

The host I met Richie, knew so much about waitomo was incredibly helpful with the area and all restaurants and stays around us. He seemed to really take pride in their town and home which I absolutely loved. He was incredibly accommodating and we really enjoyed our breakfast. The beds were clean and comfortable included heating blankets if we needed them. A private entrance and a cute entrance back to the main area for breakfast. The bathroom was sparkling and the water pressure was so great.

Thank you for delicious food Manasi and Kunal. It was like welcoming home and was raining heavily. They made us homemade food. We loved it. Rooms are clean and nice.

We stayed here for one night after a visit to the Waitomo Caves. The hosts were very friendly and gave us a comprehensive overview of the property and local area including recommendations for dinner. We appreciated the map they gave us with detailed instructions on a night time walk to see glow-worms - that was a highlight. Room was quite small but did well enough for one night. Shower wasn't working properly for us but they fixed it as soon as we reported it upon check out.

We spent just one night here but really enjoyed it. After a very thorough introduction to the room and property from Richy, we settled in to our small but cosy cabin. The location was great, just a short walk to the caves and the local pub for dinner.|The included breakast really hit the spot.

We had a nice stay. We were in the room that is connected to the main building with the reception and breakfast. It has its own separate entrance from the outside. There are other rooms in separate buildings. The room was a good size. The bathroom had a bathtub and shower. There is a washer and I think dryer for guest use (we didn't need to use them but it is nice for people who have been traveling for awhile). Breakfast was continental style with toast, cereals, yogurt, and fruit. There were extra towels available for us to take when we went on our floor with cave rafting trip, which was really nice. They also told us where we could go to see glow worms along a hike in the evening and gave a map and detailed directions about where to park and where to look for the glow worms. The parking is a bit far from the rooms but manageable.

Yelp
The owner/hosts, Richy & Lynn welcomed us, like long lost family. Richy loves his village, made fabulous recommendations and encouraged us to stay longer to relax in the area he loves. Lynn sees to breakfast. I can't imagine anyone leaves the table hungry. The rooms are clean and quiet. The property is covered in flowers and birds. They recommended Spellbound tours for the caves, Huhu for dinner and told us of a waterfall we had mostly to ourselves. Think of your visiting your favorite Auntie & Uncle, that is Richy & Lynn.

Yelp
A hidden gem that if i could keep a secret i would, just so they would have always have an opening. Owners are friendly and helpful and always there. Provided us with a little breakdown of their town and offered a few extracurriculars. Recommended a small late night glow worm hike and even gave us a map and flashlight(torch) to use. Nice little renovated en suite with all the little creature comforts you would need for the night! Awesome no hesitations to stay there again if we ever find oursleves back here.
