We had a nice stay. We were in the room that is connected to the main building with the reception and breakfast. It has its own separate entrance from the outside. There are other rooms in separate buildings. The room was a good size. The bathroom had a bathtub and shower. There is a washer and I think dryer for guest use (we didn't need to use them but it is nice for people who have been traveling for awhile). Breakfast was continental style with toast, cereals, yogurt, and fruit. There were extra towels available for us to take when we went on our floor with cave rafting trip, which was really nice. They also told us where we could go to see glow worms along a hike in the evening and gave a map and detailed directions about where to park and where to look for the glow worms. The parking is a bit far from the rooms but manageable.

We had an amazing and relaxing time staying here. Richard (a good Yorkshire man) was unbelievably welcoming and gave us all the information we could ask for and more. We met his wife Lynn the next morning, and she was just as pleasant. The room was cosy and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was outstanding, and Lynn made sure we had everything we wanted. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you guys.

Wonderful location near the glow worm gave. Rich and Lyn were awesome and friendly. Room spacious and clean. Ac cold and bed comfortable Only negative we had was it is Not mobility friendly. Stairs to all the rooms. With our heavy suitcases not fun.

This was the perfect location for myself and my husband as we had tickets to see the Waitomo glowworm caves. Lyn was fantastic and was able to make us dinner reservations at the HuHu Restaurant across the street plus gave us a map and detailed directions for a nearby bush walk (where you can see more glow worms) which was awesome! The bed was very comfy, continental breakfast was good, and the room (#3) had a great view. We highly recommend this for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Stayed for a night to visit caves in the morning. On arrival Rich was a fabulous host, explaining thoroughly everything we needed to know about our stay. The room we were assigned needs some little attention, however. The bed is not comfortable at all and squeaks. When it got cold at night and we put the AC on for heating it was very noisy. The room was also quite small and not very comfortable with two people and their luggage. The sink in the bathroom was tiny and below a window, with the mirror on another wall, making it quite uncomfortable to use. Overall, room was very clean. However property needs some upkeep.

A very bad experience. We could not sleep because of the noises coming from the room above us, there is practical no sound insulation. The breakfast is a bad joke: only two half pieces of toast strictly portioned for everybody and there is nothing else but jam to put on it. No cheese, no cold cuts, nothing. This hardly saves an adult from starvation. The only positive aspect of the place is the short distance to the Cave.

Richey and his lovely wife Lyn were amazing hosts. They were very knowledgeable and helpful about things to do in the area. Our room was excellent and very comfortable. You can do laundry here if you need. We loved it so much we stayed a second night. Their breakfast was so good and we highly recommend staying here. They truly seem to care about their guest and making the stay memorable.

We stayed a night and it was a very cosy place near the nature and very close to the glow worm tours. Lyn is lovely, very warm and welcoming and we wish we stayed more. She was very accommodating with us. There were also so many options for breakfast, a smart tv and mini fridge in the room and laundry facilities. Totally recommend if you're staying in Waitomo
