Wake Up! Bondi Beach

I had an incredible stay at Wake Up! Bondi! The location is unbeatable—just steps from the beach, perfect for catching the sunrise or heading out for a surf. The atmosphere is super chill, with a great mix of travelers and a real community vibe. A special shoutout to the receptionist, Hannah—she’s absolutely amazing at her job! Super helpful, friendly, and always ready with great local tips. Plus, not gonna lie… she’s extremely good looking, which definitely brightens your check-in experience 😄 The facilities are clean, the common areas are great for meeting people, and everything feels well-organized. Would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone looking to stay in Bondi. I’ll be back!

I can't say enough good things about my stay at this hostel in Bondi Beach — it was beyond incredible! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The location is unbeatable, just a short stroll from the beach, and the vibe is exactly what you'd want for a coastal getaway — relaxed, friendly, and full of good energy. But what really made my stay unforgettable was the staff, especially Jess she was so great hosting events. They were hands-down the best I’ve ever encountered at any hostel (and I’ve stayed in quite a few!). Super welcoming, always up for a chat or to help with anything you need — whether it was recommending the best local spots, organizing fun social events, or just making sure everyone felt included and comfortable. The rooms were clean and cozy, the common areas had a great social atmosphere, and everything was well-maintained. It felt like one big family by the end of my trip. If you’re heading to Bondi, this hostel is the place to stay. I’ll definitely be back.

I recently stayed at Wake Up! Bondi Beach and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and full of good energy. The events were a real highlight and made it super easy to meet new people and make the most of my time there. Big shout out to Chloe for making my stay so memorable. She was always happy to help with any questions and brought such a great vibe to the place. Couldn't recommend it more if you're looking for a fun and social spot right by the beach!

Stayed here twice as a guest & love this hostel! Definitely the best one in Sydney. Recommend to any female solo travellers. Shout out to Jack for always making me feel included at the events. Don’t skip wine and cheese night!!

Overall best hostel experience you could ask for. Perfect location with a beautiful rooftop overlooking the sunrise on the beach, the housekeeping is at a top hotel standard, great social events for meeting new people but overall the thing that makes Wake Up Bondi better than any other hostel is the people who work there!!! Especially Jack who goes above and beyond to make sure every person staying always has the best out of their experience. Wish I could name everyone but that might take me a while… Also the bar underneath Saltys has the best cocktails in Bondi and also served by the loveliest staff. Can’t recommend this hostel enough :)

I highly recommend this hostel if you’re visiting Sydney! stayed in a few Wake Up’s along the east coast. This one has a great atmosphere, rooms are spacious and the hostel is very clean. Thanks to Tia and Chloe at Wake Up! Both lovely members of staff who made me as a solo traveler feel so included. Made my stay.

Wake Up Bondi is a joy to stay at! The events and staff make the hostel so much fun and create such an atmosphere! The kitchen is very clean and has loads of utensils for all needs! The rooms are spacious and clean with some amazing views of the beach! The rooftop is beautiful in the sunshine with the day beds! Special shout out to Reece and Eve who really made the stay so enjoyable! Will be back soon! Thank you!

Hands down the best hostel in Sydney, the location is perfect for sunrise swims and a morning coffee and the staff really make the hostel. Thank you so much to all the staff at The hostel (Jemima, Marie, Jack, Dylan, Eve and Archie) who have made wake up Bondi a lively, friendly and somewhere that feels like a home away from home. If you stay here, make the most of the sunrise swims and make the most of the events they host (especially wine and cheese). Also the surfboards and the pool table are such a fab addition!!
