Over presentation better than food. Service was “ok” with highlight of the waitress dropping silverware on us and staining our clothes. The desserts were below average, definitely skip the crepe and crème brûlée which we had one bite. On top of it, check was incorrect and we got charged for cocktails we didn’t have. After 2.5 hours at this restaurant, we watched the owner/ manager go from table to table, greeting everyone but us. With all the options of Paris, why come here.

Very friendly owner and cozy friendly vibe

The restaurant was empty and they said they fully booked, refused to serve us. It shame they don’t have enough food so they can serve enough people or maybe only a fake restaurant for a few friends only.

Great place loved by many movie stars. Unique tableware adds to the charm. Exquisite cuisine.

As you explore the streets of Paris, there are many hidden gems that populate the landscape. This is one of those such gems! As a food critic that meets with the best chefs around the world you begin to understand the simplicity of food is what can make it so special. That is the secret of Waknine - simple, elegant and subtle with a splash of french flair that sets this menu and ambiance well above most. Sit-back and enjoy!

Wont recommend at all, not all people are welcome at the restaurant and only certainly people with certain dress codes are welcome as it suits them.

Total disappointment with cocktails - priced 13€ each (?!). Do not order cocktails! Margarita was not shaken; no salt rim, loads of crushed ice (?!) and whiskey sour had no egg white, wasn’t shaken, with seeds floating around… Both cocktails served with straws…. Ahhhh.

Very friendly staff and great atmosphere! The manager Samuel helped us with charging our phones even putting effort into finding a suitable charger. Deserts were very delicious too!

Yelp
Not many places made me think wow about their steak. Walking did not disappoint. Flavorful all the way. Great starters and croissant offerings to start. Meal was perfect. Espresso and wine were also well recommended. Loved this spot.

Yelp
We have been to this restaurant over the years and love it! The waiters are so kind and the food is delicious. It has the most wonderful bustling atmosphere. Tres bon!

Yelp
Wow- yummy food - big portions and oh such a upscale chic guest at every turn. Whilst I was rushed going to the airport I was so happy to be in the presence of a dynamic restraunteur who navigates through the restsurAnt- like an orchestra 's conductor ready for the big Mozart finale. In this case- the Restauranteir is like the fine old fashioned restaurants in a bygone era we saw in nyc- connnecting each table to the other. Waknine feels like home with heaps of good cooking waiting for the dedicated devotees. I cannot wait to return for dinner which I hope is, soon. As an American living in Cannes we experience the top cuisine but not always a " scene"- Waknine - you got this - (!) "I got a crush on you!"we had lunch- delicious salad).. oh yes- service impeccable.

Yelp
Had a nice dinner with my husband here. Great food and genuinely kind staff. Tables spaced out more than other restaurants we visited in Paris, which I appreciated.

Yelp
The staff was very rude. I asked to be placed far from the entrance as it is very cold outside but the waitress said that they were now serving dinner so it was this spot or nothing. It was definitely not nice of them so I decided to leave and go next door

Yelp
We had two excellent dinners at Waknine during our week in Paris (it was that good). They had an English version of their menu and our waitress spoke a little English as well. The food was delicious, including the duck confit, octopus carpaccio and the featured red wine. Service was friendly and helpful. Ambiance was cozy and definitely not touristy.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the food and service at Waknine. The atmosphere might normally be very congenial but today our table was impacted by two people having a very loud, almost aggressive conversation next to us. The next time people complain about loud Americans I will respond about very loud French businessmen. Wow. But let's talk about Waknine and assume the tables aren't always like this.... we were seated on this rainy day promptly and ordered drinks. I had a glass of the red wine of the month and it was surprisingly nice. Often I think the wine of the month is what's left over from last month but at Waknine it was really perfect for lunch. I was remiss in not writing it down though. For entrees I had the house-made rabbit rillette (more or less pate). And it was good, very good. Often rabbit terrine has an odd flavor, my wife calls it cat food. But this had a nice texture well mixed with spices and my wife liked it and thought maybe it had a hint of ginger. This plate came with a small salad of field greens. For the main course I had lamb and my wife had the scallops. Both plates were pretty to look at, well-designed but without being too fussy. The lamb was nicely cooked rose. The lamb was served with fried carrots which I loved, a welcome change from normal potatoes. For lunch for two it was a little spendy (92 euro for 2 entree, 2 plats, 3 glasses of wine, 2 coffees) but I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Very good food, not very expensive. Mostly locals enjoying their lunches. Waitress a bit of a nag and not very nice but warmed up as lunch went on. Inside tables really crammed together. Food is the star here. The place next door looked good also.

Yelp
disclaimer I haven't dined in restaurants yet. here's what happened me and my friend we were looking for restroom around the neighborhood. we approached the waitress kindly asked them can we just quickly use the restroom. she agreed. the moment we entered the restaurant the other woman said no we are closed. Then we said we just wanna use the toilet real quick ! she was rude and sent us away ! I mean have some sympathy ! o

Yelp
Lonely Planet lead us to this gem. My love and I had the veal strip and beef tenderloin dishes which are on the everyday menu. They also have a daily specials menu as well. Also, the best cheesecake in town. Meals, wine, bread, service and dessert were all A+. A small walk after dinner for a champagne at the Eiffel Tower capped a brilliant night. Much recommended.

Yelp
I was in Paris alone and don't speak very much French. Everybody in this restaurant was kind and went above and beyond at making sure that I had what I needed. The food was excellent, but more than anything the service was great. I would definitely dine here again if I'm ever in the area again.
