Wal Restaurant

It was the first time I visited this cafe in Caernarfon. I know from a travel website that its fish and chips are recommended. My family had lunch here. We ordered large fish and chips and Margherita pizza. Both dishes are amazing and delicious. I feel so surprised that they can provide good Welsh, British and Italian food. At the same time, the customer service is satisfactory. The staff are friendly, helpful and nice. Feel satisfied with this meal.

Delicious food! Cozy atmosphere. Gluten free options available. Lovely staff that topped off the great experience. Definitely recommend.

The location was very central The staff were lovely The decor was really nice The toilets were ok , but weird they shared it with next door but… The food was really good. Pizza excellent Firecracker chicken excellent Children’s pasta simple but tasty Service was spot on And the price was very reasonable If I was local I’d have to visit more often.

We had the pleasure of enjoying a breakfast at the Wal Restaurant in Caernarfon, and what a lovely experience it was! Richard, our waiter, was the epitome of elegance and politeness, making us feel truly welcome. He’s the perfect example of what great service should be. We started our day with the Welsh breakfast, and it brought pure joy ! The flavors were just right, the sausage is out of this world, the freshly grilled musrooms are amazing, and pairing it with a cup of their exquisite filtwr coffee was a delight. The restaurant offers a great range of vegan dishes too, so there's something for everyone. Wal Restaurant has outdoor seating, which is perfect for enjoying a sunny day with the spacious layout inside offers different table sizes for families or groups, western type diner seats and the front of the diner has that charming old-school vibe. Plus, the 15th-century original arch brickwork adds a special spot of history, making the whole experience feel even more special ( as was told by Richard himself). Overall, Wal Restaurant is a beautiful blend of history and delicious food—highly recommended!

We had a very tasty lunch yesterday, large jacket potatoes, one with coronation chicken and the other with tuna mayo, with a side salad, coleslaw & pickled red cabbage. The staff made us & our dog welcome, he was given 2 dog biscuits, which was a nice gesture. Y Wal is relaxing restaurant with good food & friendly staff, we are lucky we live just 3 miles away.

Black pudding (changed) beans (cheap) 1 bacon (had been bitten or something! ) sausages 1 had a unusual flavour.. TERRIBLE when I went there yrs ago it was better.. standards have slipped

What a gem this place is. Food was amazing great setting brilliant staff so polite and friendly we will be back when we come back on our hols. Also a bonus its dog friendly thanks for a great evening

Really great meal and all 4 of our party were equally impressed with our food. Great Gluten free menu and very helpful staff. Would definitely recommend Wal Restaurant.
