Waldhotel Unspunnen

A historic hotel right next to the woods, offering a spacious shared terrace with breathtaking views of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The staff are warm and pleasant, and the breakfast variety was a nice surprise. Parking is directly at the hotel, Wi-Fi is reliable, and check-in was smooth. The parquet flooring in the room was a bit squeaky, and there was some noise from inside the hotel, but overall it’s a charming and dog-friendly place to stay.

Really great location for travel to Grindewald, Murren etc. Beautiful Mountain View out our window. Room was very comfortable. Appreciated the free parking. Loved the restaurant too!

There are many positive things about this hotel. Things that I liked are (i) views of the snow-capped mountains (ii) guests kitchen - this is a very unique facility that was very helpful for me with senior family members and children (iii) staff were friendly (iv) housekeeping was good Things that I didn't like were (i) the size of the rooms were very small for a family room (ii) bathroom space was too much cramped (iii) kitchen staff at breakfast time were not considerate for my family's needs. Although service was very good but it was falling short of the Swiss standard. I stayed here with family for 4 nights. If i ignore the cost part, then my overall experience was good. I was thinking of giving a 2 star rating due to a bad experience from the kitchen sraff on the final day of leaving the hotel, but I didn't let one bad experience to overshadow from overall experience.

I recently stayed at Waldhotel Unspunnen and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was a bit small, but it was very clean and tastefully decorated, which made it feel cozy and comfortable. What truly stood out for me was the view from the balcony absolutely stunning! Waking up to the breathtaking mountain scenery was the highlight of my stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful place with beautiful views and a clean, well-maintained environment, this hotel is a great choice.

The hotel is very nice. Clean, comfortable rooms and bed. I had a great 1 night stay with my parents. The woman at the front desk was absolutely lovely, helpful and sooo nice. She made our stay wonderful. Also the rest of the team were very nice. Breakfast was good, parking also, and wonderful views. 100% recommended!

What an experience in Waldhotel Unspunnen!! A short beautiful walk to the hotel took us to the old moderate sized cozy rooms, perfect for a couple. Great view from windows thru the rooms behind. They serve breakfast maybe because of location (not easy access to other breakfast options)of the hotel.

Lovely stay, great rooms, they have a nice kitchen for the guests with all facilities. Offered a complentary Breakfast which was awesome with lots of food options. The breakfast area is facing a stunning view to the Alps.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with our recent stay at your hotel in Interlaken.||We were very disappointed to find that the room we were given had no air conditioning, which made our stay extremely uncomfortable, especially during the warm summer nights. When we attempted to open the window for some fresh air, a number of wasps entered the room as they had built a nest nearby. This created not only discomfort but also a safety concern.||We immediately contacted reception to request a room change, but we were told that the hotel was fully booked and that no alternative could be provided. Instead, we were advised to keep the lights off and the windows closed to prevent the wasps from coming in — a solution that is far from acceptable in a room without air conditioning.||This experience significantly affected our stay and did not meet the standards one would expect from a hotel in such a popular tourist destination.||We hope you will take our feedback seriously and address these issues to improve the experience for future guests.
