At first glance you imagine what staying at "The" Waldorf might be but this converted property just fell short of those lofty expectations. We booked in advance and expected to utilize the spa but when we arrived, we were informed that the men's spa was under renovation. Ok, not a big issue since the hotel offered a free ride to a nice gym, but at 30 degrees outside the prospect of working out, hitting the sauna then freezing out in the cold didn't motivate us to take advantage of the offer. Next, the smell of weed permeated everything. The lobby, the elevator, the restaurant and bar. I get it, people smoke weed, but why then not just let everyone smoke whatever they want (cigarettes, vape, etc)?? Seems counter to a "smoke-free" environment if weed is the exception. It just took away from the enjoyment of staying at a premier property. Then the rooms which just needed some TLC! Outlets didn't work, the HVAC was super noisy and (I know this is a little picky) there were no hooks to hang our towels up so. Lastly, the night caps at the bar were ok, but we ordered some dessert and it was all underwhelming. The biggest plus was the attitude of the staff. From valet to reception to food service, they were all very good, so it's tough to be so critical, but this is supposed to be a Waldorf...therefore everything should be amazing!! Quiet up that HVAC, enforce a little decorum when it comes to marijuana, make sure the rooms are dialed in and warn your guests that the spa is closed for renovation BEFORE they book.

Loved our stay here during the holidays, top notch hospitality. Nice, comfortable and big rooms, not outdated. Only recommendation would be to fix the showers, we had to leave the water running for about 20mins every time before it’d come out hot. Other than that, I’m beyond happy with our stay! Shoutout to Margaret the hostess at the bar and the very nice bartender (I can’t recall his name but I believe is Aaron) great customer service!

The hotel is so lovely! From the moment you pull in the valet staff is on top of welcoming you to the hotel and even opens the hotel doors for you. They make sure you know where to go to check-in! The lobby is always pristine, calming and there is always someone at the desk ready to assist. Check-in is consistent across the board - never have had an issue. It really feels like everyone cares about you, and wants to ensure your stay is great! There is such a charm to this hotel and the rooms are beautiful, clean and comfy! Can’t recommend this hotel enough!

The best service I have ever received at any hotel ever Şükrü was our concierge and he was an example by which all other hotel staff should be measured. He was informed, personable, warm and helpful. He made our stay perfect. Beyond that, I've stayed at the nobu, intercontinental and the Westin. And for all my corporate teams coming into town looking for peak room quality, excellent service, fantastic location, there is now only one choice - the Waldorf Astoria in Buckhead is world class in every regard and I can't wait to come back for personal or professional visits!

Stayed there for 3 days, Dec 23-26. From the moment you pulled in the valet,you're welcomed warmly and assisted. The front desk person we met, (Amelia) was very friendly and helpful. We stayed there for a family Disney trip/ birthday celebration and we had an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. They even gave us hand written notes and chocolate for our birthday. The view of the resort/golf course was so nice to wake up too, you can see the fireworks at night from your window. The breakfast buffet was 10/10. We stayed around the holidays, they had live Christmas carol singing and a hot chocolate bar. They put a lot of effort to create a festive atmosphere. Highly recommend this place, we would definitely stay with them again.

I stayed at the Waldorf last month on a weekend getaway and I already can't wait to go back. The service from everyone was impeccable. Everyone from the first greet at the front drive, to the front desk, and all the restaurant staff were just so friendly and eager to help. Special shout out to our housekeeper who kept our room immaculate throughout the stay, we really enjoyed all the special little touches. The beautiful lobby was a great place to enjoy a cocktail and it was always spotless. It really seems that everyone working here enjoys what they do and the genuine hospitality shines through. We will 100% return next time we are in Atlanta.

If you're looking for a luxury stay in Atlanta and want to avoid the city's infamous traffic, the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is a perfect choice. Located just steps from the Buckhead MARTA station, this five-star hotel was a fantastic stay with easy access to the rest of the city. I'm always looking for hotels near the Marta station because Atlanta traffic is not for me. The hotel's white marble interiors create an atmosphere of pure elegance. The service is impeccable, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. With nightly rates ranging between $500 to $700, this hotel is definitely a splurge--but one that is absolutely worth it. The fitness center is state of the art, spacious and never overcrowded. I love to be active when I travel so I look for hotels with pretty good gyms. The spa has a sauna and steam room that you can use. Love that. The hotel restaurant has a fantastic breakfast. The rooms are huge and I loved the spa tub.

I went here for the Halloween High Tea service and it was so much fun! They do themed high tea services every month- many are child-friendly. I definitely recommend if you like tea. The bites that come along with the service make a sufficient lunch, as well.

When you first come here, you must ballet but they do validate it for you. And let me tell you this place looks SO AWEOSME!! There is a huge waiting room for each so you get light snacks like tea, infused water, nuts etc. We did a couples massage for his birthday and he got a glass of champagne lol!! He loves touch as his love language so it seemed ideal for a gift. We did add on a few extra things: face mask for me and head massage for him. My masseuse Stephanie was so through she smooth all my problems away with such care and attention. I felt someone was taking good care of me and tending to my needs and pain . There's also a hot tub, sauna and balcony but the balcony was closed due to weather. Though the hot tub and sauna is also closed off for each so you cannot mix unless I think you go to the pool. You can order food up to the spa as well. I didn't get to but it seemed yummy. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 because I really hate being called ma'am or Ms. when I'm not so I don't say it's LGBTQ friendly entirely. But I would say that it is worth the money. I just wish they wouldn't keep addressing me with honorifics. I understand it's kind of part of the experience but sheesh lol.

We don't eat dinner here this time but last month is was also great. Also, it may seem small and unnoticed by most but the smell when you walk in the building is so nice and fresh.

I had reservations for High Tea and the experience was underwhelming. Three hundred dollars for three people does not get you much in terms of the food options and presentation. I only had the chicken salad options as I am not a fan of egg sandwiches or caviar and carrots. The pumpkin scone was tasty but cold and the dessert selection was limited. I think the pastry chef had the day off. I was looking forward to this event but left a disappointed that I had spent this money on an ordinary experience. The wait staff were pleasant but service was slow.

I'm a frequent visitor of Waldorf because it's in my neighborhood. Typically I have a great experience; however, because of some recent management assumptions and accusations, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Specifically, the Latin manager shadow watched me today as if I was going to run out of the location. I don't appreciate being racially profiled. In addition, I ignored another experience where a Muslim server assumed I was imbibing free drinks when I was not. He has also made and charged African American diners gratuity when it was less than the appropriate number.

I can't help but feel frustrated thinking about the money my husband spent on this massage. If I could turn back time, I would have stopped the session midway and ended it. Not only was the massage subpar, but the therapist also kept pushing me to add extra services, claiming they were just $10 more when, in reality, they cost $45. I was disappointed not only by her dishonesty regarding the prices but also by the lack of assistance from the concierge. After the massage, I spoke to the front desk, and they promised to arrange a call with the manager, but I never heard from them. I was surprised I had to reach out myself because I expected better service at this type of establishment. In the end, all they offered was a discounted massage, meaning I would still need to pay for another session with a price reduction. This whole experience put a damper on my birthday weekend, and I have no intention of returning for another massage. If you have plenty of money to spare and are okay with a mediocre 100-minute massage for $600, this place might be suitable for you.

Had the pleasure to stay here recently for a convention. Staff was universally friendly and accommodating. Doormen always had a smile. Front desk a friendly greeting. I was given a small box of decadent chocolates on check in. Room was spacious. I always feel like the bathroom is a good barometer. Huge and well appointed. The nightly turn down service included laying out bath mats, slippers, and water glass on bed stand. They were very generous with the bottled water as well. Bed was comfortable and room had a nice couch and glass topped table. If I had a gripe it was only that the phone had a flashing light which no one (including maintenance) knew how to turn off. I had no messages and the flash pattern just randomly changed lol. The maintenance tech offered to cover it with tape.

I stayed at the Waldorf for two nights this past weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hotel was chosen because of the great things that I've heard about the spa. So, we checked in on Friday and the staff was amazing. Saturday was dedicated to the spa. We were going to get a 90 minute couples garden massage and spend the day relaxing and enjoying the on site amenities. Well, at 10am I received a call that my appointment had to be canceled because they were short staffed. The entire reason for the stay was to spend the day at the spa. I would say the cancellation ruined the entire weekend. But, the hotel staff was so friendly and helpful, I do not want to take that away from them. I would visit again. However, I hope I can get the experience that I've heard so much about.

Had an amazing stay at the Waldorf Astoria Buckhead!! From the doorman, to the front desk staff, to the valet, everyone was so personable and professional! The junior suite room is well appointed and newly renovated, and comes with a spacious balcony that showcases the luscious Buckhead city life. Any extra toiletries and complimentary bottles of water were promptly delivered to the room when requested via the Hilton Honors app. The bathroom is wonderfully spacious and opulent with double vanity, separate toilet room, huge shower, and a deep bath tub. Transportation arranged by the hotel, particularly to and from the airport, was grade A with a luxury black town car and personable chauffeur service. The staff made excellent recommendations for dining, and when I needed to make a quick run to the mall, I was advised on the most efficient way to get there...which I truly appreciated. And afterwards, there was a small concern with a billing issue, staff member Ms. Ifeoma offered amazing customer service by going above and beyond to rectify the issue. Also, the hotel is an easy walkable distance to 2 malls and a few highly yelp-rated restaurants as well. Downtown ATL is not far away, and ride-share (uber, Lyft) is readily accessible. Overall, highly recommend staying at the Waldorf Astoria.

*Spa Review Only* My husband booked me a body scrub treatment for my birthday at the Waldorf Astoria Spa. Y'all, this place is out of this world... a true oasis in Atlanta. Thoughts and Recommendations: - With any Spa reservation you get full access to the spa amenities WHICH INCLUDE: sauna, stream room, hot tub jacuzzi, access to the terrace for lounging, snacks and refreshments, robes, and slippers. What more can a girl ask for?! - Valet only ! Heads up, there is no such thing as self parking or street parking here. - Service was phenomenal! Every single person I encountered, spa or not was so pleasant and friendly. The people at Waldorf Astoria understand customer service. Overall, the spa here is unmatched. Highly recommend booking a treatment here for any type of occasion- birthday, anniversary, self care reset, etc. I saw several groups of girls in the locker group hanging with friends, sipping on champagne, for their birthdays.

Good location for walking to the high-end mall, a cafe, sports bar, coffee shop or just to see the neighborhood. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Valet service is expected in the European style drive-in courtyard. Currently, the hotel is being renovated so the actual dining room and bar are temporarily located on a different floor, and it worked for us. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. Included are robes and slippers. Hilton Honors members are given $50 a day to use toward breakfast, bar service or spa. Check the website for all the amenities.

When I say this place is where you want to stay, it is EVERYTHING! Luxury at its finest! The staff are impeccable ( Alexis, Victoria, and the manager Ifeoma) expressed excellent customer service! Ifeoma, is a great manager, she went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was perfect!!! Even the valet staff were courteous, fast, and keep a smile on their faces. The room was beautiful, we upgraded to a king balcony suite. It was very nice, clean, fresh, and not a speck of dust anywhere.

I have made a reservation for Afternoon Tea, originally on Friday last week but I moved it to Thursday (a day before) since my friend had a conflict in schedule. A credit card is required to book an afternoon tea session. I called last Tuesday to reschedule the tea session, the operator transferred me to possibly The Café & Bar and it went to a voicemail. I left a message about my request to move the afternoon tea a day earlier and to ask to return my call. No one called me back :( On Wednesday evening I called again to make sure the hotel would be ready for the afternoon tea for us on Thursday. A staff named Christian (or Kristine??) was apologetic that no one called me back and told me usually a 24 hour advance reservation has to be made prior to a afternoon tea. She said she would check with the manager and called me back in 10 mins. I would not be happy if they could not accommodate us since I called days in advance to change the date. It is not my fault if no one bothers to check her voicemail or failed to call me back. About 5 minutes later, Christian (or Kristine?) called and informed there would not be a problem to have our tea session on Thursday. Yayyy!!! Thank you!! I just wish every staff/service personnel be like her. *** *** *** It was a rainy afternoon... Armed with umbrellas, we walked over to the hotel. We were early, the staffs offered to get us seated at the bar area and offered us beverages while they preparing for our afternoon tea. Marcus set our table and informed us the afternoon tea session was ready. He led us to our table. He presented us a box of tea which we could sniff every individual glass container of them. I decided on the Shanghai Rose and my friend the White Blossom. I don't know how was my friend's tea, but mine was really good. FOOD 5/5 Marcus presented us a 3 tier of finger food/pastry. He would tell us what every single food item was. Except the deviled egg, I enjoyed every single delicious item from gingered scone to the classic cream puff. It was really hard to describe, one needed to be there to enjoy and savor every of these delicate delicious food item. AMBIENCE 5/5 The table we were at was tucked in one corner with lots of privacy. Everything was on point. SERVICE 4/5 Other than the non responsiveness I received when I was trying to change the day of our reservation (hence one point off), service throughout our tea session was wonderful. Marcus was excellent, he was the main staff taking care of us, and he did an amazing job of it. Another staff Michelle was very nice too. I will have no problem returning here for another round of afternoon tea. Just wondering how often they changed out the menu. PS. They do validate parking if you dine at the hotel.

DO NOT BOOK SPA SERVICES HERE! The website advertises prices that are significantly different ($200 less) than what they want you to pay for the same service when booking online. And it is clearly due to a website glitch that they eventually acknowledged but still won't honor the prices posted online. Spoke to the spa manager and he was extremely rude and thought I was lying until I emailed them a screenshot. I will not spend one red cent here and would encourage others to look elsewhere as well.

Super friendly service from absolutely everyone we encountered. Sent up a sweet birthday note and chocolate cake to our room after check in since I was in town celebrating. As a diamond member, we easily got an upgrade to a 14th floor large corner room with great views and huge windows. Large and super spacious bathrooms. Very clean. Comfy bed. We really enjoyed the room service breakfast we ordered using the $50 credit we received as diamond members too. The coffee, fresh juice, and pastry basket were all terrific. As was the omelette and bacon. Only took maybe 30 minutes to receive. Had a wonderful and relaxing weekend here. Will 100% be back soon!

I resigned as a member of the SPA having enjoyed its amenities for several years. I truly like the people there and have fond memories of the Mandarin Oriental of Buckhead. After asking for some shampoo in the SPA not only was I not offered any but their quality of extra-ordinary service resulted in me deciding to never support the Hilton brand period. This morning I received a nice confirmation from the hotel general manager regarding my resignation. I suppose I must apologize to everyone there for asking for some more shampoo when they were watering-down the stuff they had in bottles labelled as Waldorf Astoria. Please be careful if you visit this luxurious SPA for they add wonderful natural elements such as salamanders who nests in their showers. Reminds me of Hawaii!!!

Luxury, pampering, and all you expect from a top notch hotel. A beautiful hotel in the poshest part of Atlanta. Gorgeous room with super comfortable bed, deep soaking tub, separate shower, and premium toiletries. We enjoyed the lovely, indoor pool. Because of COVID, you make a reservation at the spa for apiil time. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. I had the salmon while my better half devoured the steak. Here's a way to save on the $48 daily valet parking fee. We parked our car at a Marta station overnight for just a few dollars, took Marta to the Buckhead station and walked a short distance to the hotel. Beautiful English garden outside.

This is the worst experience I've had at a "5 star" hotel. Black sluge came up through my shower after taking a bath. They HARASSED me to no end about charging my card $50 BEFORE check out. They checked the mini bar like I was a thief 5 DAMN TIMES before I was actually supposed to check out. I was woken up about the stupid mini bar, had several personal visits to my door from different staff and THEN I was pulled out of my Uber TWICE (after the bell man was instructed to block the car) while trying to be on my way to the airport in regard to the mini bar because they wanted to open my card to clear any "possible charges" charges which were checked 5 times already in PERSON!!! They keep me waiting and my Uber black price is going up beyond the 5 mins they're allowed to wait. At this point I go back up an actually grab something from my mini bar for the trouble since this is he 6th time they ask. My butt didnt even hit the seat of my car when I was asked AGAIN to go to the front seat because they wanted to clear the charge for the cookies I JUST TOOK 30 seconds ago from my room for the harassment. If my card is locked and is on file ANY AND EVERY HOTEL ON THE PLANET CAN FORCE THE CHARGES THROUGH WITHOUT MY BEING THERE!!!! Harassing me like a criminal repeatedly for something they can do on their own and could have actually waited on me to check out to incur the cost like a NORMAL LUXURY ESTABLISHMENT!!! I had the second most expensive suite which was one under the penthouse/presidential suite to be treated like a common bum off the street. I'm late to the airport now because of the incompetence and clear lack of high end clientele this hotel is estranged from serving. I won't do this again. They really ruined my Christmas by starting this harassment for money every time I breathed from Christmas Day until I left the next day. Christmas prefix dinner was overpriced and underserved. Bland at best. The bar was great and they do have a good mixologist on hand. Breakfast was decent. Those two are my only positive takes. I will never spend another red cent at this property for the disgusting treatment of paid (very well paid) guests. Atlanta is a city where the fake try to make it and it's just not on par overall with luxury accommodations and high end clientele. Hospitality just isn't this city or this hotels strong point. The four seasons and intercontinental offer excellent service and are far better choices as far as experience ambiance and refinement. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DUMP unless you love being treated like a broke scamming loser after spending THOUSANDS of dollars to stay here.

Attended the Holiday High Tea here and I was underwhelmed. I've done a few in the area... St Regis, Ivy Tea Room, Bombay Tea... and this was nothing compared to those. The food was extremely light and not very tasty. I'm normally very full after a high tea. The bread was borderline stale. They do offer a glass of champagne or cider, which was different. The hall was not decorated the way I would expect a Waldorf Tea to be. And doors open right before and they ask you to leave within 2 hours. There is a lounge area outside of the tea room where you can sit and talk if you'd like to stay longer. It's $95/ per person, plus service and fees. Ended up being $124/ per person and it's non refundable once you book. For the price and hassle of driving to buckhead and valet- there are better high teas for much less.

Mother's Day gift that I gave as an option to my husband Dan he did good! I myself have to say I had the most fantastic and longest most relaxing message ever. The guy that gave me my deep tissue message was phenomenal. I had Lots of knots and tension in my body from multiple workouts per day and just every day busy life as a mom. I wouldn't recommend deep tissue if you are not okay with some pain but I was soooo relaxed afterwards, like I've never been before! The entire message session lasted about 2.5 hours. There was first a foot scrub/ message the 25 minute bath time. Afterwards a full body brush (yes they brush your body) and a scrub that follows. And then finally the message. Before that' I went into a 45 min facial and scalp message. So I was there about 4 hours. I wish I had remembered the names of the therapists to give them a huge shout out. But, seriously if you need a spa day. This is the place. You get the full experience plus the amenities of the hotel which is gorgeous.

They need to drop this hotel to a two star hotel!!!!! Im so upsin a middle of a pandemic my suite with premium suite had cold running water. Maintenance came twice to fix and still the issue continue. SMH what mad me even madder is the orange juice in the lobby was expired since November!!! My sister and I drank one without even looking at the date and our stomaches were hurting so bad. Made my road trip to the outlet malls awful. i txted the hotel after and they didnt even respond.

My stay started off pretty rocky but Thu (spell check) the manager took great care of us. Originally booked a suite for Thurs-Sun but it was not ready upon arrival and I was not able to get into my suite until the following evening. Apparently the the hotel had issues with the guest staying in the suite before me. (Smoking marijuana) I guess if they could afford a 5 star hotel then they could afford the $500 fine attached to the no smoking rules. The smell filled the room/hallway as soon as we exited the elevators but disappeared within a couple hours. I really appreciated Thu's amazing customer service and professionalism throughout the whole ordeal. This hotel is in a great location right across from Lenox mall. Which we walked to a couple of times while staying here. I absolutely loved the live band they have on Friday nights. I almost didn't want to leave the hotel but I was curious to see what other options ATL nightlife had to offer. My room came with free breakfast every morning. You had the choice of a breakfast buffet in the dining area but I opted for room service instead.

What an amazing stay I had! The room was perfect and clean and the staff was even better. They remembered my name and were very accommodating. I used the house car to go places and the drivers were just great! They delivered amenities to my room and were so friendly while doing so. Any request could come true here's overall an great place to stay you will not regret it!

This hotel is run by a moron who seems not to have the ability to manage the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta. The hotel is complete chaos and the staff are completely out of control. Completely mediocre service with a polite smile. Not sure if the staff think they are the guest and or servers. Chaos in parking, chaos in the lobby and chaos in the restaurant. No one has a clue on what to do or how to make it happen. You get better service at Waffle House than the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta. Perhaps Stephen Mercier should look at taking some basic business management courses at Georgia Perimeter College?

Located inside the perimeter of Atlanta. Came by here to visit some friends staying. Hotel has scenic view of the city and there's a bar located in the lobby. Staff is hospitable and valet parking comps if you drop by the bar. If over 3 hours your parking is $15. Drinks are $$$. But that's expected in the city. Nice atmosphere to impress a date.

I'm a big fan of this hotel. At first glance, the hotel does not look that impressive compared to other Mandarin Oriental hotels, but don't be fooled! You will still have a luxury experience here that is comparable to other Manderin Oriental hotels. I enjoy actually like how this hotel isn't too massive and crowded. Customer service is top notch at this hotel and the food is delicious. I love coming here for lunch and enjoy the Asian flair at this hotel with decor and also in menus. Also If you're looking for a quiet spot for a group of friends to get together in a classy place and not worry about disturbing others, the Cafe here is a great option! I I enjoyed my bento box with chicken green curry, it was so flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice. They also do a great job with high tea service. I like their tea selection and the sandwiches and pastries were all yummy. Customer service is great here. Definitely plan on coming back!

Maybe on an absolutely scale, this is still a nice hotel. However, bearing the MO brand, this is the worst MO hotel I've stayed at. Things started going wrong when we decided to go down to the bar to grab the drink on first day. Our waiter seemed to be in a rush and there weren't even that many people at the bar. He did not refill water glasses or snacks, and when our drinks were finished, it took me 10min to wave him down and he darted off before I could finish ordering bar snacks. This is also the case when we decided to eat dinner at the Cafe on the second night. We ordered appetizers and drinks, and right when I was about to move on to the entrees, he walked away. I had to tell him to WAIT so we can finish ordering. I mean this kind of service is terrible terrible even at a normal hotel/restaurant, not to mention at a Mandarin Oriental. In terms of food quality, it was also kind bad. PEI Mussel were not fresh, and there's not enough broth. Shout-out to the Red Snapper, it was completely unseasoned and severely overcooked. The second morning, I decided to get in room service for breakfast. I ordered two continental breakfasts, both with coffee. When the food came, it was only one continental, and no coffee at all. When they brought back the corrected breakfast orders, one set was still missing fruits. At that point it was just laughable and I gave up. It's a shame that this MO is such a mess. Let's hope it can improve in 2017?

Exquisite luxury at its finest, the Mandarin Oriental spares no expense to offer guests the finest hotel experience in Atlanta. From exceptional bellmen assisting with bags, offering all details of the hotel, filling the ice buckets and asking for guest preferences, to the front desk and hotel drivers, all staff were welcoming with smiles. The king suite was stunning with fresh, crisp sheets and comfortable bed. We thoroughly enjoyed the snacks and mini bar, and the large flat screen television. We also thoroughly enjoyed the large, deep tub and television in the bathroom. The hot bubble bath after a long trip in was exactly what we needed. The shower was also great having the handheld shower head. The spa was immaculate, and we enjoyed the heated indoor pool as well as the outdoor hot tub. We loved the delicious morning breakfast of crab cakes Benedict, bagels and lox, and the secluded bar area enjoying a nightcap before bed. I highly recommend the Mandarin Oriental for the perfect, most luxurious stay in Atlanta.

Pleasant stay here at the Mandarin. Room service takes a ridiculous long time as well as in the cafe (if you opt out of room service and go straight downstairs for food) so if you're hungry, better go elsewhere. However, this rating is strictly for the spa service. My massage I chose was the "therapeutic" massage which is the deep tissue option. Omg. I've had neck and shoulder pain for some time and I am ninety nine percent sure my masseuse has managed to sustain the pain from progressing. My pedicure left more to be desired but at least my feet are nice and smooth. Go here for the massage. You won't be disappointed.

The overall hotel stay was four stars, the brunch on Saturday morning was two stars. Hotel Review: All the staff that we interacted with was very helpful in checking us in. After about 45 minutes of not receiving our bags I called down to check on the status, and we were informed that there was a miscommunication and that we will have to wait another 10-15 minutes before getting them. A redeeming factor was that the next morning at checkout, the bellman filled our cooler with ice along with bringing all of our bags down to our car. Looking forward to giving the hotel another try, our room was clean and beautiful. Brunch Review: We were seated promptly, and after getting coffee, the cup was never filled again. The server took our order, and we never saw him again, only to flag him down to get our bill at the end (another staff member got us our food). We got shrimp and grits, eggs benedict, and acai bowl. The shrimp and grits were good, but the eggs benedict was very underwhelming, and the hollandaise sauce was not very hot. The total price for the food was high (even with our status discount at the hotel). We were expecting the service at brunch to be on par with the Waldorf Astoria brand, and it was a huge disappointment to end our trip.

Had a great time at the Waldorf Astoria's afternoon tea, made extra special by Emmanuel (the manager) and his staff. The tea choice was impressive and the ones my friend and I tried were all very good. The food was great- especially the savory items, which I prefer to sweet stuff in general, although the desserts were also very good. My favorites were the truffle deviled eggs, the cucumber sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, salmon sandwich and the Shanghai Rose tea. And I can't stress enough, Emmanuel made the experience very special for me and my friend. His hospitality skills and professionalism were exceptional. Thank you!

What a elegant place to come for cocktails or dinner. The Maitre'd was polite from the start then answered questions about a couple of reds with a taste of each. Service was very nice but not obtrusive. Beef carpaccio was a simple and delicious starter. The Braised Beef short rib came with Chanterelle risotto and finished with an orange zest gremolata this dish did not disappoint. The Pear Tart (oh my) was served warm with a scoop of vanilla but after enjoying only a couple of bites decided there was "no more room" and took it home to be enjoyed a bit later in the evening. Great meal.

I came here to the Mandarin Oriental Spa and Hotel in Midtown, Atlanta for a spa day with my girlfriends and had an amazing time from start to finish. Their customer service is bar none the best, they never let their professionalism or kindness down for a moment, and the entire place is incredibly clean and gorgeous and most importantly, quiet. Upon arrival, you get ushered over to check in whether it's your room or the spa and it's easy to find. I spent the majority of the day at the spa getting services, utilizing their full pool, sauna, steam room, showers, lounging outside, and the list goes on and on. I even had lunch here with my friends and had the most delicious meal. Everything about this place from start to finish was bar none the best and it was like living out the high life from Gossip Girl, pretending the be Blair Waldorf or Serena Vander Woodsen for a moment in time. This place does an impeccable job ensuring that your entire experience is 5 stars from start to finish and their staff is superb. I will definitely make a point to come back here and stay again if not only to have another spa day alone.

CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON TEA - I took my adult daughter for High Tea since this is a festivity we have always enjoyed together. The total bill came to $250 and it was terrible. Drab room, only 4 small bites of sandwiches each and then a myriad of bite sized desserts that looked and tasted like they came from costco and defrosted. The service was OK - our server was nice but clearly dealing with all the afternoon tea service that day and it was a bit too much for one person. I wrote to the hotel to let them know I was dissatisfied and received no response. I will not be going back to this hotel for anything in Atlanta. I am VERY disappointed.

This review is only for the afternoon tea in the Brassica restaurant. The staff from valet to doorman and waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant especially if seated by the window is like a sunroom and you can overlook the garden area which I'm sure in warm weather months is even more beautiful. There was a harpist playing the entire time we were there. The ambiance is definitely 5 star worthy as was the service. The MAJOR downfall was the tea service with TEA BAGS! Not loose leaf tea that is a much higher caliber of leaves. I was shocked that everyone has tea bags in their different tea pots. The second MAJOR downfall is the actual food. They weren't horrible but the waiter stressed that everything was made in house. One of the sandwiches had less than fresh (read STALE) bread, the pairings weren't interesting like cucumber topped with golden raisins .. not good. It just didn't excuse abundance or decadence. I really hope they revamp the menu and make it more plentiful In presentation and taste. Also there is no reason to pay $100 plus for tea bags. Do better.

Had a great stay at the Mandarin Oriental in Atlanta last weekend...here are my thoughts: Property is beautiful and conveniently located near tons of restaurants and a shopping mall. Pool is large and clean, locker rooms and showers are plush, and the gym is also quite nice and new. I also had a good massage at the spa (maybe a 7/10). Rooms are large, clean, and well-appointed. We also had a nice balcony with a lovely view of the city. Service is where this hotel loses one star. For the most part everybody is quite friendly and happy to help, but our first night was filled with much confusion with the rollaway being delivered to the wrong room, turn down service didn't come until we were back in our room until 9:30, etc. The following night turn down came at 5:30 instead so I'm not sure what's going on with that. Room service was quite reasonable and the breakfast we ordered on both days was large in quantity and tasty. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again!

M'lady and I have been trying to get to this place for a while for evening cocktails. We finally made it and it was an enjoyable experience. I don't know if they do it every night but there was live (lounge) music on Friday evening around 8pm or so. The singer faded gently into the background so that you could hear her enough to identify each tune and sing along in your morning elevator-ride humming voice if you like, but soft enough to be able to hold a conversation without yelling at the person across from you. We only had cocktails so I cannot vouch for the food. I will say that there is a good variety of cocktails on the menu to choose from, and the bartenders take great care in producing tasty creations of high quality. What I miss, and this is purely subjective, is that the bartenders weren't too engaging. I've been to other high-end bars where the staff engages a bit more with the customer. They have a way of talking with you and letting you know that they are present in case you need anything without intruding too much on your space. I felt like that experience was missing here. Don't misunderstand me. The staff and the service were great! Very professional, very polite, very accommodating. I was just looking for more of a 'Sam Malone meets the 21 Club' experience. Conveniently located just 2 blocks from the Buckhead MARTA train station, this is a great place to unwind and regroup after a long day if you just want something mellow and low-key.
