Waldorf Astoria Cairo Heliopolis

A wonderful hotel in every sense of the word. The lobby is a true work of art, and the rooms overlooking the lobby offer a beautiful and unique view. The hotel’s location is close to the airport; although it is a bit far from Fifth Settlement and downtown, this does not detract from its quality. Overall, the hotel is well worth staying at and is considered one of the finest hotels in Egypt. The reception was excellent, especially Mr. Youssef at the front desk, who was extremely professional and courteous. Special thanks to Mr. Youssef for his great care and warm welcome.

Magnificent hotel - we stayed only one night as it's convenient for the airport, but we wished we could have stayed longer. All the staff we encountered were professional, friendly and helpful. Our room was large, modern and very comfortable. We at dinner and breakfast at the Brasserie Ayda. Service at dinner was prompt and the food was really good. The breakfast buffet was extensive with lots of choices. Unfortunately we arrived at the same time as a large tour group so it was crowded - but that's not the hotel's fault. Access to the Hilton next door for even more choice of dining options is a real bonus.

I had a wonderful stay at the Waldorf Astoria Cairo. The room was modern, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable, with beautiful linens and pillows. Breakfast was outstanding, with both variety and quality. The lobby is stunning, and the level of service throughout the hotel was consistently excellent. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and professional. A special note of thanks to the general manager, whose presence and leadership were clearly felt in every detail of the experience. I would return without hesitation.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience with a few points worth noting. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and generally well-kept, which made for a relaxing stay. The staff service, however, was truly outstanding—warm, attentive, and consistently helpful, which made a noticeable difference throughout my stay. Some maintenance aspects could use attention: both the safe and the scale had low batteries, and there was a brief but noticeable odor when running the sink water. The shower worked fine, though the water pressure could definitely be stronger. The view overlooking the botanical garden is lovely, but something to keep in mind is that the garden is actually part of the hotel’s lobby and reception area. This means that if you open your curtains, people in the lobby can see directly into your room, which may be a privacy concern for some guests. While the location isn’t exactly central, we still found it convenient and easy enough to get around the city. Overall, it’s a comfortable stay with exceptional staff service and room for a few improvements.

I am currently at the WA Cairo Heliopolis and I could not be more happy! The hotel is fabulous and the staff are outstanding. I've been here for a week with a group of friends and everyone is loving this hotel. To put it in perspective, I'm comparing the Waldorf Astoria Cairo Heliopolis to other 5 star hotels in Cairo I toured this week including the Four Seasons, St. Regis and Fairmont. The WA is my preferred top choice for 5 star luxury hotels in Cairo. The Ayda restaurant is outstanding (I had breakfast there every day, plus two lunches and a dinner). Bar Raa serves excellent cocktails, amazing sushi, and the patio at the back is a hidden gem. The pool is an oasis in frenetic Cairo - the BEST place to rejuvenate after a long flight or day touring the pyramids, GEM, or downtown. If you are lucky enough to be staying while the BBQ night is happening definitely attend (the grilled lamb was a winner and we are still talking about it). Many, many thanks to GM Andreas, all the talented Ahmeds, Mohammeds, Abdel Rahim, George the lifeguard, Sultan the bellhop, and of course Ayda the bar manager -- all the staff at the Waldorf Astoria are friendly, warm and sincerely go out of their way to make sure guests get top service. The monogrammed pillowcases, turndown gifts, and special touches have really elevated our stay! Thank you!

I every aspect this hotel was superb. Lobby is beautiful. Rooms good size, clean, and well equipped. We like the location even though this was family vacation. Like the security, made my family feel safe. Staff from the moment we entered was very welcoming, helpful, accomadating.Every staff member was great. Especially Awad, forgot his first name, Mahmood, Saeed were excellent. Breakfast was elaborate. Several hotels on premises. Loved Raj resturant. Will stay at the same hotel when we visit Cairo again. Airport 15 min away, Pyramids 30 min car ride. Thanks for making our stay comfortable.

Our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Cairo Heliopolis was simply outstanding. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are modern and elegant, and the service is truly world-class. A huge thank you to Executive Chef Ivana, and Chefs Mahmoud Hafez, Abeer, Mohamed, and Karema for going above and beyond. They personally prepared meals for our family to accommodate several allergies — with such kindness, attention, and care. During our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Heliopolis Cairo, we had the absolute pleasure of being looked after by Chef Abeer, whose warmth, professionalism, and culinary talent truly elevated our experience. Chef Abeer went above and beyond to cater to my family’s specific dietary requirements. From the moment she was informed, she took full ownership — personally coordinating with the entire culinary team to ensure every meal was not only safe but also exceptionally delicious. Her attention to detail, creativity, and passion for her craft were evident in every dish. The food she prepared was nothing short of world-class — beautifully presented, perfectly balanced, and bursting with flavour. It’s rare to meet someone who combines genuine care for guests with such incredible culinary skill. Chef Abeer is a true asset to the Waldorf Astoria, and we are deeply grateful for the care and effort she showed us throughout Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. We felt genuinely looked after, and I honestly can’t fault a single thing. We’ll definitely be back it’s a place that sets the bar for true hospitality.
