Waldorf Astoria Cairo Heliopolis

Our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Cairo Heliopolis was simply outstanding. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are modern and elegant, and the service is truly world-class. A huge thank you to Executive Chef Ivana, and Chefs Mahmoud Hafez, Abeer, Mohamed, and Karema for going above and beyond. They personally prepared meals for our family to accommodate several allergies — with such kindness, attention, and care. During our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Heliopolis Cairo, we had the absolute pleasure of being looked after by Chef Abeer, whose warmth, professionalism, and culinary talent truly elevated our experience. Chef Abeer went above and beyond to cater to my family’s specific dietary requirements. From the moment she was informed, she took full ownership — personally coordinating with the entire culinary team to ensure every meal was not only safe but also exceptionally delicious. Her attention to detail, creativity, and passion for her craft were evident in every dish. The food she prepared was nothing short of world-class — beautifully presented, perfectly balanced, and bursting with flavour. It’s rare to meet someone who combines genuine care for guests with such incredible culinary skill. Chef Abeer is a true asset to the Waldorf Astoria, and we are deeply grateful for the care and effort she showed us throughout Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. We felt genuinely looked after, and I honestly can’t fault a single thing. We’ll definitely be back it’s a place that sets the bar for true hospitality.

The Waldorf Astoria Heliopolis is an absolutely stunning and clearly brand-new hotel. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were impressed. The design is grand and elegant, with a real sense of calm and luxury. Check-in was smooth and easy, and the staff upgraded us to a beautiful room that was incredibly comfortable. When we arrived, there were desserts waiting for us along with slippers and small mats beside the bed, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our room also had a view overlooking the lobby, which was unique and fun to see. We really enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, which had an excellent variety of options and great service. We also spent an entire day at the pool, which was lovely, quiet, and beautifully maintained. It was the perfect way to relax after busy days of sightseeing. The location is definitely closer to the airport and a fair distance from the main attractions of Cairo, including Giza and Old Cairo, so it’s best suited for travelers who have tours and transfers already arranged. That said, it’s extremely convenient if you’re catching a flight or want a calm retreat after a long day of exploring. Overall, the Waldorf Astoria Heliopolis was one of the most elegant and comfortable stays of our trip, and we would absolutely stay here again.

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptional — genuinely attentive, gracious, and professional. Service was flawless from start to finish. We’ve stayed at several Waldorf Astoria properties around the world and usually have exceptional experiences, but unfortunately, our stay in Cairo fell short. From the start, there was no clear explanation of our benefits or which restaurants were eligible for the $100 AMEX credit. We spent quite a bit of time going from restaurant to restaurant trying to figure it out ourselves until we met the wonderful Director of Food & Beverage, who kindly clarified everything!! He was amazing. We were also incorrectly charged for minibar items (orange juice, wine, and chips) we didn’t consume. These should have been checked before our arrival. When I mentioned the issue at the front desk, the response was not particularly pleasant or helpful I was told to just use my credit, which didn’t feel right for items we didn’t use. It’s a beautiful property, but the service and communication were disappointing compared to other Waldorf Astoria locations.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms (and service) are exceptional. Our ladies Iman and Omnia did a wonderful job each and everyday. They even went so far as to checking in on my elderly father who was staying with me. Very rare to find such genuine kindness and compassion nowadays. We definitely will be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Heliopolis.

I stayed for 8 nights at the Waldorf Astoria Cairo Heliopolis and had a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with warm, attentive service throughout my stay. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and kept impeccably clean. Housekeeping, especially Eman, did an outstanding job—she was so kind, and everything was always spotless. The hotel’s public spaces were elegant and well maintained, and I especially enjoyed the pool area, which offered a relaxing escape from the city. George at the pool was fantastic—he always greeted us with a warm smile and took great care of us every day, making us feel truly valued. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options. The breakfast staff went above and beyond to pamper us, always making sure we had everything we needed and more. Their kindness and attention to detail made each morning feel special. The location was also convenient—close to the airport, yet quiet and peaceful, with easy access to other parts of Cairo. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the overall atmosphere made it feel like a true luxury retreat. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairo.

I’ve stayed at the Nile Hilton, Kempinkski but the Waldorf wins hands down. My second stay here and now my default hotel. Rooms are huge. Great air conditioning. Housekeeping is the best I’ve come across. Breakfast is amazing. Nice gym, lots of modern equipment. Lots of excellent restaurants. My particular favourite was the Noble House run by Ibrahim. Japanese and Chinese cuisine. It’s superb, food cooked in front of you.

A huge thank you to Mariam for her outstanding service and warm presence. From the moment we sat down, she made sure every detail was perfect — attentive, kind, and incredibly professional. She handled everything with a graceful smile and made us feel completely at home. What truly stood out was her coffee — hands down one of the best we've ever had. Rich, smooth, perfectly balanced — a true masterpiece. Mariam isn’t just a waiter, she’s a remarkable coffee artist, and her passion clearly shines through in every cup. Thank you, Mariam, for making our experience so special. You turned a regular day into something memorable, and we can’t wait to return!
