I'd like to take a moment to post an edited review of this place as my email to management went unresponded to.
I was a guest at Al Habtoor Palace from Dec 20-23 taking advantage of the beach access here. This was supposed to be a big part of my stay I was looking forward to.
This is not okay for a 5 star hotel the way I was treated. I really enjoyed my stay up until the last day. It really left a sour taste in my mouth and I do not ever want to come back here.
I was a guest who made friends with multiple other guests at the hotel. On 12/23/2025, we were having a mild conversation around 12:00pm in the hot tub of the adults only pool area (note that we did not have any alcohol and we were having a respectful conversation without any cursing/sensitive topics) till when another guest complained to us that we are loud. However, no one had an issue and we had a mild conversation that did not seem to bother anyone. On the first 2 days of visiting, people talked way louder in the pool/hot tub area, so it was assumed it is okay to do so.
The staff were then very unfriendly telling us about this. This is very weird since this is AN ADULTS ONLY POOL AREA, and there was no signs of it being a quote "quiet area". It is also assumed that an adults area of a pool is to be significantly more lively and adult oriented than a family side.
Never in my life have I experienced this at a beach resort. Having stayed in resorts all over the US, Mexico, Bahamas, Aruba and Turks and Caicos from Ritz Carltons to Conrads, this has never happened once. I am a very respectful traveller and found this extremely off putting.
The rude demeanor of the staff and poor communication skills is really off-putting.
This really irked me because the day prior there was a man on top of his partner kissing her in front of everyone around 4-6pm and staff did nothing. To look the other way about this but harass us multiple times over a mild conversation is not okay.
While I had a great time the first 2 visits, the last day, the staff treated me as if I was breaking in when I first arrived, unfamiliar with the access from Al Habtoor Palace. This was off to a poor start.
Lastly, I do not appreciate your staff walking up to me to get a google review on the spot. It feels very pressuring and uncomfortable. Do not pressure your guests to give you fake 5 star reviews. This is something you experience on a cruise ship/cheap all inclusive hotel in Mexico, not a luxury hotel in a world class city.
As a guest who spend over $200 USD on food and drinks in the day prior, and plans to spend more on my last day, I did not want anything to do with this property and decided to head to the airport early, excited to leave.
Please take a moment to review these concerns.
