Waldspirale

Another attraction that we visited was the Waldspirale. Directly translated as “Forest Spiral”, the Waldspirale is a private apartment that is designed in the shape of a spiral. The quirky design is like an U-shape building if you take the bird’s eye view of it. The windows, if you notice, are also not symmetrical, making the area feel a little “Alice-in-Wonderland-ish”. Because it is a private area, you cannot enter but a path cuts through the apartment where you can get better views as well... Unbelievable from the inside. An architectural masterpiece, you can actually feel the vibes when you're within it. A sight to behold and experience. Words won't do it justice!

I saw Hundertwasserhaus Waldspirale first time in 2003 and I was already mesmerised. I wish I could live there. We always take guests to see this amazing architecture. It is really worth it.

The building is very interesting and has a charming vibe. Its unusual style is like it came from Alice in Wonderland.

Great building to look at incase you are a fan of the hundertwasser style. Sadly can only have a look from outside and not able to get in or go to the garden, but then again it is an apartment complex, so quite happy there was a way to go in between the two buildings.

Who love architecture and design you definitely need to visit this complex in Darmstadt!! It’s very interesting

Worth seeing, but really nothing super special. Just a different building- clone of some in Wienna…

Big apartment building with neat architechture with no straight lines (except the windows). Pretty cool to walk around with nothing even underfoot. Wish you could go in and see the apartments. Check out the restaraunt/bar that the top for an amazing view.
