We had short stay at the hotel and really enjoyed how close it was to the station and all the main attractions in Lucerne. The breakfast provided was great and fresh. Unfortunately the rooms were very dusty and not super clean, and the water for the shower was inconsistent and would not stay warm. However the staff were very attentive and helpful.

Nice hotel right across the road from the train station. The family rooms were spacious and it is rare to find rooms that can sleep a family of 4. Walking distance to all major attractions. The hotel staff were very friendly and allowed us to check in early since the room was ready which was a big win since we had arrived after a long transatlantic flight. I would definitely stay here again. Rooms have fans, but no AC as clearly stated on their website.

Wonderful location and very good service! I arrived early in the morning. They stored my luggage and as I request the room close to the elevator. Later on the day. I found my request that has been accepted. Also, the staff was kind enough to show their hospitality as much as they could.

This hotel was great and close to everything. There is no climate control in the room so you need to open the windows and we were on the first floor and the street noise was unbearable with loud cars all night long. Convenient on site parking if you reserve ahead.

Check-in was very quick and easy and the receptionist greeted us with a smile and even apologised that it was raining in Lucerne. The room was a good size, with umbrellas, tea & coffee facilities and a pedestal fan. Location of this hotel was perfect as it was right next to the main train station which is exactly what we wanted as we were stopping for one night in Lucerne. It’s a 5 minutes walk to Chapel bridge from the hotel. This was our first trip to Switzerland and luckily before flying to Zurich we found out they have different type of sockets. So remember to get the correct plug. Next day we were checking out and it was my birthday. I went to reception to checkout and was pleasantly surprised that I was handed a chocolate and a birthday which was a lovely surprise and made my day! We do intend to visit Lucerne again one day and I will most certainly choose this hotel. I highly recommend staying here.

Hotel is lovely in a great location. The room we had (very expensive) was far too hot at 24°C. The air conditioning didn't work, and when we reported it to reception they said they had no air conditioning in the hotel (despite it being summer and there being an air conditioning unit in the room) then hung up on us. The room had no functioning window either with the metal shutters closed and the window screwed and locked closed. It was like trying to sleep in a hot basement. We were very disappointed and wouldn't recommend at all based on our experience.

We loved this hotel! The location is absolutely insane for easy access to day trips around Switzerland and the rooms are comfortable. The service was exceptional. Overall experience surpassed price paid for this stay. Only critique would be the shower water temp- it got dangerously hot on a moment’s notice and was challenging to keep at a comfortable temperature. If traveling with kids, I would be cautious, but otherwise was great!

Very clean hotel and the rooms were clean and organized. The service and location was great. They had upgraded our room and we were able to store our luggage at the hotel on the day of our check-out.

Yelp
Hotel is right across the train station. As far as accomodations go, it's whatever and the layout is asinine. My room had a very small TV at the foot of the bed pointed away from the bed at a chair. Not that most people check in to watch TV, but I was worried I may kick off the blankets and kick it over so I requested it be moved or removed altogether, to which the receptionist said they couldn't until the next day(when I check-out), and that he would not be responsible for personally moving it himself, but that I would be responsible if I accidentally damaged it. They didn't have any other rooms available to switch me to and offered no solutions. Update: the hotel responded indicating I could be subject to legal issues for saying I was going to give them bad reviews on any platforms I use

Yelp
Great hotel - close to everything! One block from the lake and the train station- look no further- this is the place!

Yelp
This hotel feels like a complete bait and switch. The photos on the web site are not accurate we double checked that we weren't misremembering what the room was supposed to look like. Granted we are in some awkward angled room that we can't even fit our luggage in. Based on other reviews it seems like some of the rooms are renovated nicely? Why not all of them? For $250+ a night I expect a little bit more.

Yelp
I don't get the negative reviews for this hotel because I loved it! Granted, I was staying here in the winter and yes, there's no a/c, but that's Europe for you. This hotel is located in a beautiful historic building right on the corner opposite the train station (making it super convenient if you have an early train or if you're carrying bags). It's directly across the street and is less than a 5 minute walk door to door. Even better, you can easily walk to Luzern's beautiful old town and the famous bridge in less than 10 minutes. I don't know why, but we were upgraded to a beautiful business double suite upon check-in. Located on one of the top floors, our room was huge and spacious with a sleek and modern design. The room was very comfortable, mostly due to the space, the modern bathroom, and the great amenities (including an in-room mini refrigerator). Our room was also equipped with several thoughtful features, including complimentary toiletries, a hair dryer, an in-room safe, a tea kettle, and free WiFi. The entire property is SMOKE-FREE which is great, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The windows to our room opened so we could cool it down quickly. Our view was less than stellar as we looked out onto housing. And as is the case with most European hotels, the bed was hard and not so great. There's a hotel restaurant in the lobby that serves breakfast (which was included free of charge with our room rate), but we chose to sleep in instead of partaking. There are also plenty of places to eat nearby, including a McDonald's right next door (but don't do it!!) and a convenient COOP market across the street. There's also a nice reading room off the main lobby that offers a quiet and comfortable place to sit and work. The front desk staff did have a bit of a Swiss aloofness to them, reminding me much of the hotel staffs across France, but they did warm up when I smiled and complimented them on their lovely city and country. This is a fabulous hotel and I highly recommend it if you're traveling to Switzerland. I'll not hesitate to stay here again if I'm ever back in Luzern.

Yelp
The chief complaint is the price against the fact that there is no A/C in the hotel, but Switzerland is super green and eco friendly so having an AC unit is illegal. Aside from that note, the staff is super friendly and welcoming. I genuinely appreciated the fact that if you are checking in early in the morning during the date of your actual check in, you are still welcomed to a free breakfast by the hotel. On top of that, they also offer you a free bus pass and wifi connection for the days that you are in Lucerne running around the city. The location is super convenient to the train station, being right across the street and not too far from a few bus stations as well (down the block). Easy access point to get around so it was definitely a plus for us to stay here. Staff is super friendly in helping you get around Lucerne and exploring all of the different tourist areas, don't be shy to ask for help! There are two different elevators that run, but they are not connected to each other when you press for one so be sure to keep your eye out for both.

Yelp
$344 per night for a room with no air conditioning?! This is crazy! It's 36 C outside! The room is hot and sultry. There is no refrigerator in the room, so forget about cold drink! The double bed is not a double bed, it's two single beds zipped together and is incredibly uncomfortable. The hotel is already paid for, so we have to stay for tonight, but we won't sleep here tomorrow. No way!

Yelp
Very modern hotel and nice rooms. I only give it 3 stars because of one annoyance and that is the wifi. You have to enter a username and password every time you want to use the internet. Additionally, they have you enter a different username and password for each of your devices.
