I have just had the worst experience ever at this Walgreens!
So I spent quite a few hours working on photos, and submitted them around 7pm today- for guaranteed same day pickup. The time it gave me was 9:30. So I went to town with my husband to run a few errands, and we finished around 8:30. I did not want to have to run all the way home and back in one night, because what I am working on I need tomorrow so I planned on staying up late tonight to finish.
So I called Walgreens, and "Lashawn" answered the phone. I said I would be coming in to pick up my photos tonight, and he said "They ain't ready" and I asked him what time do you think they would be ready, and he said "25 min". Like I said this was at 8:30. So instead of going there and waiting, I took my husband home, unloaded our purchases, and headed back. I arrived at 9:40, which was well after the time he said they would be ready, and after the time my order was supposed to be ready. I walked in and I could see a woman cleaning up behind the photo counter, and I already knew I was gonna have trouble. I walked up, said my name. She looked for like 5-10 minutes, then asked if I called and who I spoke with. I told her, and then she said oh he didn't finish before he left. I'm like okay... she starts pushing things around and says they aren't gonna be ready tonight. Maybe I can get someone back here and finish for you. I am annoyed because I came later to avoid having to wait, and yet I am still having to wait because they aren't done. I say nothing however. Then she starts making excuses, saying they close in 15 minutes, it's a Friday night, he closed down before finishing (even though you could tell she had been closing) and then she says there isn't any way she could have them printed tonight. She hands me the scraps of what they printed, and asked if it was right. I said pretty much, but this is supposed to be 2 books and I have more pictures as well. She's like you have more?? Yeah there is no way we can do that tonight. You'll have to come back in the morning. Then she says the morning manager might give me a discount or something. I'm like a discount? For having to put off what I am doing, go back and forth across town, take time out of my day multiple times for some photos? I can't believe it. If I was the manager I don't care if everything in the store was shut down, if a customer came all the way out for GUARANTEED SAME DAY PICKUP I would make sure to fill that offer.
And also, I went in yesterday with my Grandma to pick up some medicine, and she had this label of this wrap she had gotten. We walked all over trying to find it, and finally went up to an employee and asked her if she knew if she carried it. I showed her the label, she said NO. I am like, okay, do you have anything else that is similar to this? She was like, I don't even know what it is! (In my head I am like, if you don't know what it is, how the heck do you know if you don't carry it?)
I am so sick of terrible customer service. It wasn't even worth my time to argue with any of your terribly rude and lazy employees. I just smiled, said thank you, and walked away. It makes me think that your employees must be grossly underpaid, or you have terrible qualifications for hiring them. It's a small store, and both times I went in there was maybe 5 people max in the whole building. Most of the employees were standing around laughing with each other, and the rest were working but did not want to be bothered by us customers. I hope you guys get your mess together, because I (someone who spends quite a bit of money on photos) can take my business elsewhere. I plan on speaking to the manager in the morning and letting him know about all of this, but if he is anything like the rest of the people I have dealt with, I am sure nothing will be handled.
