All the super messy cashier employees don’t work well and have a bad face especially one of super rude glasses I just needed them to open the window to take some towels and wait more than 45 min he can’t make my purchase and it’s the first time what happens they should give more training to the employees and improve the quality and attention, I don’t recommend it

Always has my photos ready and sends me email updates about them.

Many vagrants and shoplifters here. Often unpleasant to shop here.

I recently came to Duane Reade to purchase cleaning supplies for my apartment because my cleaning products needed an upgrade. I purchased a toilet brush in a stand, toilet cleaning chemicals, new sponges, a scrubber, and new dish soap. I love going to this Duane Reade because they always have what I'm looking for. I'm not a fan of the fact that they have all of the weird flavors of seltzer and none of the usual ones, but I always end up getting the big bottle of unflavored. They have plenty of great options and the makeup/beauty section of the store is pretty. They have a lot of great products, and I love how convenient the location is. They should have more people on the cash registers, but I don't think that's a problem specific to this location.

This is the worst pharmacy in the city. It is absolutely impossible to get through on the phone and the delays in getting prescriptions filled is insane. They don't fill the Rx, the app is useless, and there is NO WAY to get through on the phone. I have literally been on hold for an hour and then just gave up. My Part D requires me to use this pharmacy and honestly I am ready to give up my coverage just to get my prescriptions on a timely basis and be able to ACTUALLY speak to a pharmacist.

This Duane Reade on west 94th Broadway is one of the very worst store when it comes to the pharmacy department. It's not the store problem it's the employees that's the problem, they're rude and unprofessional specially the ones at the pharmacy department, they're very rude and they don't have any respect or consideration for the elderly people like they're never going to get old, I'm sure they won't want their parents to be treated the way they treat others.

The online pick up in sadly non existent. If the point of inline pick up is to make life easier, forget it. No one mans the stores. No one available to pick up

I came prepared to this location and on time with all info filled out for a Covid shot for myself and my daughter. Three people behind the counter to figure out how to enter information. 35 minutes later the associate is still manually typing information with 2 fingers and asking me info that is already on the form. After all of that they ask for another form. Avoid this location--it's an absolute clown car.

Horrible costumer service. Pharmacy never have prescriptions send by my dr. They do not care or bother to look. Avoid at all cost.

Worst customer service. Fist they tell me my prescription wasn't on file. I have it sent again & was told it would be in the next day. I call 2 days later & was told they didn't have it. They refuse to send to another pharmacy, or price the name brand & had the nerve to say that I would need another prescription from my doctor. This is insane. Zero customer service. What is the purpose of using a chain prescription if the prescriptions can't be sent within their system between locations. I've been using them for years but who ever they recently hired just doesn't care. She should be replaced. In the meantime I'm changing pharmacies.

This Duane Reade location is a blight on the neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and go to the CVS at 93rd across the street. It seems like there are more cops in the store trying to curb the rampant crime than employees working there or shoppers, a very welcoming sight. The store is a maze, with easily the worst layout of any Duane Reade in the city, making it perfect for shoplifting. I recently saw a man come in, pick up a gift bag, fill it with toiletries and greeting cards, and walk out. The cop was watching but did nothing, and no employees saw because they were too busy chatting behind the counter (that was only the second most blatant Duane Reade heist I've seen, but the most blantat was at the 88th & Broadway location which has since closed, thankfully). I don't use the pharmacy, but there's usually a long line, which either indicates that it's a popular spot for prescriptions, or an incompetent staff.

Great to see them welcoming the kids for trick or treat. I was late to pick up candy. As I was grabbing a few bags, the staff was pulling down the Halloween treats and installing the Christmas candy. He did not even wait until November 1.

It's one of many Duane Reade stores out there in Manhattan. This one was pretty big. I had to walk all the way to the back of the store to find the section that had the bottled water and sports drinks. Their prices were fair. It was a quick, convenient, in and out transaction for me.

This is without a doubt the abosulte worst Pharmacy I have ever gone to. They are rude. It takes endless calls to get through- today I called three times call one on hold for 25 minutes,hung up- call two on hold 43 minutes- hung up, call to three answered right away by the fill in pharmacist -thank you sir! They will argue with you about anything. I was on line and they pulled the gates down- WTH. Three days to fill Lasix? Really just needed to vent, but also warning you to stay away. Moving to CVS tomorrow.

Horrendous. The pharmacy is inept. The store is gross and always has a homeless contingent sorting cans and making the floors sticky, the stock is mostly hit or miss and the place has a permanent police officer present. Charming.

This Duane Reade has surely gone into the TOILET for the inability of honing interpersonal skills. When phoning a prescription order to be pickup, the receiver answered the call and SLAM the phone to be blunt and immediately hang up my call. I never got past to speaking with a human being, ergo the fine art of conversation lives in oblivion.

It's a Duane Reade. Not much to say here, but I did want to point out the very friendly staff that did a nice job of trying to get everyone moving when the line was long. I also had passport photos taken here rather quickly. If you're in a jam, this isn't a bad place to get some pictures taken. That being said, this place is fairly big, with a decent selection of items. Just bear in mind, it's all pretty expensive. Obviously you're not going to do any serious shopping here but if you are in need of any meds or other must-get items, you will probably find what you need here.

This DR is shaped very strangely. It's hard to get a real "blueprint' of the space. At the same time, it is jam packed with everything you need. Just take the time to orient yourself or ask for help!

Went to Duane Reade which is like Walgreen's in Calif. This DR is next to Trader Joe's in the Upper West Side. A neat thing they have is a Walk-In Clinic so you can see a Dr. On Duty! That's cool. Two story store. B. needed travel-size band-aid & travel-size shaving cream. Found them & then paid for them. Charged it.

Have used this pharmacy on occasion after visits to City MD on the weekend. Prescriptions never ready when promised, some staff are downright rude, and waiting area filled with disgruntled customers. Would absolutely avoid

This location is horrible. I was falsely accused of stealing by cashier and security guard. I was asked to remove items from my pockets in front of customers and Staff in store. I came in to redeem bottle returns. Bottle machine is in front of store. According to suvillance camera I never entered any aisle of store. This was very humiliating and cause severe mental illness. Until this day nobody want to accept responsibility not apologizing or didn't show up for court to answer complaint. This store staff are treating customers in a reckless manner and falsely accusing them of stealing especially African Americans. This is unacceptable and everyone should be treated equally. Always treat people the way you want to be treated. Should be ashamed of yourself how I was treated. Stop the discrimination with shoppers.::((((( This has caused so much harm to my health and quality of life.::(((

Avoid this dangerous and delinquent pharmacy at all costs. They engage in practices of evasion and deception in order to discourage people from getting essential vaccines, and will be the cause of spreading disease as the cold months arrive. I scheduled an appointment online for the covid and influenza vaccines, to be told first that I needed a physician referral to get a vaccine (wrong), then that my insurance was invalid (also wrong) and that the pharmacist couldn't accept my insurance (wrong again). I had to refuse to leave, and stay on hold with my insurance until I was put through to the New York City Department of Health. The agent from the city read the riot act to the pharmacist through my speaker phone, and only then was I allowed to have a covid shot. I was told that I had to pay an exorbitant cost for the flu vaccine, so I didn't get it even though I was approved for an appointment for that vaccine as well. I don't know how this is legal. This branch of Walgreens is deceiving New Yorkers and engaging in deceptive practices that will result in the spread of disease. I have heard similar stories about this place from friends and neighbors. They should be shut down.

Worst pharmacy in the world. Wait time on telephone is sometimes DAYS long. Pharmacists are arrogant when responsive at all.

A number 1 location the service is outstanding everyone should buy from there. One of the only places I've found every thing I've needed. And I'm hoping in the future as well.

This is for the pharmacy. I got both my covid shots at this location. They are very disorganized, would misplace paperwork and left me waiting for 2 hours even though I had an appointment. During that time I saw customers get incorrect medications, and one elderly lady wait over an hour and a half for pain medication which they were out of stock in, but never bothered to informed her, and just left her suffering in pain. Now, it appears they either didn't maintain proper covid vaccination records or didn't submit vaccinations records to the state, so patients' vaccination history cannot be verified. This place should be shut down.

I had the most terrible experience getting a vaccine here. Our appointment was at 10.50am, and we arrived 15 minutes before, with all paperwork signed, as they requested. We waited for TWO AND A HALF HOURS before leaving without a vaccine. During that time they had somehow processed only a tiny handful of people. There were still 16 people ahead of us in the line, and at their rate of processing about 4 people per hour, that would mean we would have had to wait a further four hours, making a total of a SIX HOUR WAIT in line for the vaccination. I don't know why they bothered having anyone make appointments, since they were not able to honor any of them. Of course it wasn't even possible to find anyone to complain. I tried calling afterwards and was on hold for an eternity before giving up. I can only warn others to avoid this place if at all possible. I know other Duane Reade outlets are somehow able to organize themselves to administer vaccines within roughly the time that a person has an appointment for. I don't know what is wrong with this one. There must be some kind of licensing rules around who is allowed to offer a vaccine. This place should be removed from the list.

This Duane Reade inherited all of Walgreen's customers. It is a disaster. There is always a line, even to drop off prescriptions. There can be nine people waiting and one person at the register. I recently dropped off a script at 2 in the afternoon, after waiting 20 minutes in line. It was delivered at 9 p.m. The entrance is inhabited by homeless people. Most of their products are under lock and key. One star is too generous.

I was writing a review for the Fire Museum and it said there I had not finished my review of Duane Reade...but I did write one before and Yelp seems to have it for 2/18/15. Great manager, as I said, think bad reviews must come from time before he was on the scene. Oh yeah, it is a chain store after all...good enough for me, it is better than the other chain pharmacies I have been to in the area.

Suppppper clean and always well stocked. There aren't too many people, so you'll be in and out in no time. Where else can you get cough drops, shampoo, magazines and condoms? Duane Reade babbby!

Aside from CVS on 93rd, i'd go to this DR when i used to live in the area. Primarily used their photo department to print out photos and ordered some photo souvenirs. They always came nice although quality not professional wise but hey what do you expect, Vanity Fair photo? Pricing is always higher than CVS or RiteAid hence the reason why i rarely go there. Staff can be a hit or miss. They have a great selection of cards though. Now i dont use their pharmacy but friend of mine had to pick up prescription once and they made him argue on the spot. Luckily i could read magazines while waiting so it was not that bad.

If I could award zero stars I would. This place is just as bad as all Duane Reades but maybe just a touch worse. The staff is uninterested and are just there to collect a paycheck. Ask a question and they stare blankly at you. Try to pay for cash and the girl behind the counter says "I can't make change for that!"...what a $20?? For a $5 purchase? That's a shockingly BIG bill right? Amazing...just terrible.

I picked up a prescription from this Duane Reade today. 30 pills total. 29 were the same and the correct medication. One was different. It was a random different medicine. I called and the first pharmacist I spoke to first discounted my experience ("that's not possible") and then insisted I bring the pills back. I refused. Finally she agreed to have me fax a picture of the different pill. A second pharmacist called me back and told me it was a different medication -- a blood pressure medicine. He wanted to make arrangements to get that 30th pill of the correct prescription to me. I was more interested in talking about how this happened, whether the pharmacist who signed off on it was still employed there, and how do I know the replacement would be correct, or for that matter, how do I know any prescription I fill there would be correct? I'm lucky the random different medication LOOKED different. What if it hadn't, and I had taken some random medication that wasn't prescribed for me? Needless to say, I'm taking my business elsewhere. Pharmacists are all "doctors" exactly to prevent this kind of thing, which should never happen. Ever. WTF Duane Reade?

Excellent service...needed a passport photo taken, and I was in and out of there in 5 minutes on a Tuesday morning. The staff was friendly and efficient.

got my passport photos here on a monday evening 7p for $10 (2 photos). Took about 15 minutes, but would've been shorter if they didn't run out of ink when they were printing them. Very good quality.

My fave in the area and there's literally one on every corner in this neighborhood. Great layout, I always feel so zen in this place no matter what the hour. Did I mention it's 24/7? Why not 5 stars you ask? They don't carry John Wm Macy's DELICIOUS cheese sticks. For that, I have to go to the dingy Duane Reade over on Columbus. Not to be confused with the luxury 2-floor Duane Reade also on Columbus, just down the block. Anyhow, super cool and helpful staff at this Broadway location. They never judge me (to my face at least) when I walk in there at 3 in the morning! Maybe they do it when I leave.

I like CVS better... cheaper on all accounts. But Duane Reade gets 4 stars [and my business every weekend] for being the only place besides one deli near W 62nd that sells JOOSE! Don't knock it 'til you try it.

Great experience, the pharmacist was very nice and prepared the prescription faster than the estimated 15 min, also the cashier was really nice and told me about a deal on the yogurt I was getting.

This Duane Reade is great. The pharmacy in particular. The pharmacists are very friendly and act as though they genuinely care about their customers. The rest of the staff is fast and friendly as well. I travel from further away to use this location.

After having my dog diagnosed with diabetes against my better instincts I went to Duane Reade to get his insulin - it was the most convenient pharmacy. First of all they wanted to take a full patient profile even though I told them it was for a dog. Date of birth? I don't know- he's a rescue dog. She then asks another woman behind the counter who gets really snotty saying that they can't take the prescription without taking a profile and they need the date of birth. After all of that I am told to come back in a half hour- so I run across the street to get some groceries and get back in 20 minutes lugging bags of food. I am then told that they not only don't have the insulin but they can't get it in.(Isn't Duane Reade a chain store??) I asked why they didn't check when they took the prescription and I was told that I had already left when she realized this. No apology- no extra effort to try to get it from another store. The pharmacists explanation was that she was new- he didn't apologize either. So, lugging my groceries I went to Town Drug on Amsterdam Avenue, further away but they were quick, made sure it was in stock and wished my dog well when they gave me the meds.
