15 Best Walking Tours in London | Condé Nast Traveler

"The three guides who do this tour come from different backgrounds spanning writing, acting, and comedy, but all have a passion for London and know the area well. There's a set itinerary, but the guides tailor their talks to their own interests—and those of the group, of course. Forget Borough Market—this tour takes you to in-the-know places you won't have heard of, like Maltby Street Market and Jensen's Gin Distillery in Bermondsey." - Julia Buckley

First class tour - Hidden Gems Tour. Eddie is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area. We learned a lot about importers, the Courage brewery and the spice market to name but a few. We enjoyed Ethiopian street food, some local beer, freshly made choice of pasta, oysters and rounded off with some VERY tasty chocolates. I can highly recommend this tour. Thanks again Eddie

We had a great tour of the Portobello Road area and Market on 31 October. Eddie was a very personable, interesting and informative guide, the area was extremely vibrant and he took us to some fab eateries and a wine bar, including a terrific street food stall and we also tasted other great savoury and sweet food, chocolate and wine. All in all we highly recommend the experience, whether you are a Londoner, from elsewhere in the UK or from overseas.

Was given this tour as a gift and may not have chosen it myself however, the experience turned out to be really enjoyable and informative! Well worth the effort of getting to London early on a wet Saturday morning. Eddie our guide was great and how he presented his tour was so interesting. We learnt so much and had fun searching for visual historical clues. Not to mention the great food and drink we sampled. Off the tourist trail and down back streets, you really got to see another side of London. Would thoroughly recommend.

I happened upon Eddie’s Walk Eat Talk Eat tour when researching my trip to London and I am so glad that I did. This tour made my entire vacation! Eddie was professional, knowledgeable, funny, and knows each neighborhood like the back of his hand. His picks and recommendations for food in the city will have coming back for more after and wishing you had booked all his tours. No minute of the tour is wasted and each stop includes a history lesson or explanation of what makes the spot special. I highly recommend this experience the next time you’re in London. Thank you, Eddie!

We decided to book a private tour for a 60th birthday present on the recommendation of a friend. We weren’t disappointed. Our tour guide Eddie was friendly, knowledgeable and witty and it was a joy to spend 3+ hours listening to his stories. The food stops were excellent with lots of choice and we were all very full by the time we’d finished! A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon, would thoroughly recommend this tour. We can’t wait to try another!

Our team just completed this three-hour walking tour, and it was unanimously the best thing we did during our visit to London. The food was absolutely phenomenal – from the incredible Basque pintxos to the legendary Beigal Bake salt beef bagel, every stop was a winner. But what truly made this experience unforgettable was our guide, Eddie. His passion for the area was infectious. He was so patient and personable, taking his time with our group and answering all our questions. The combination of fascinating history, world-class food, and Eddie's exceptional guidance made this the perfect team outing. Highly, highly recommend!

Eddie's East London Food tour is a wonderful combination of eating, learning, modern art and quirky London history! We signed up because we are food lovers and wanted to experience an area we didn't know well, namely East London. We were thrilled by the variety of cuisines and flavours we got to try but also impressed by Eddie's stories of life in London both historic and modern. He took us to hidden corners and food purveyors that we would never have found ourselves, ending in a rather unique and jolly drinking establishment! Highly recommended!

My wife and I did the Portobello Rd food and walking tour a couple of days ago. It was great. A fascinating area, Eddie has really done his homework to draw out an interesting story. A tasty and generous range of food too. We thoroughly recommend this tour
