We stayed overnight in a cabin which was close to all the animal activity and was clean and functional. It was great to see the kangaroos, emus etc roaming around freely and being able to interact with them..staying the night meant i was also able to see the Tasmanian devils. I climbed the track to the viewpoint which was pretty cool. The animals seemed to be well looked after and the staff friendly, caring and knowledgeable. The signs and paths within the park however are a bit run down and certain areas could do with some routine maintenance and a better upkeep. This doesn't effect the animals but the visitor experience. I would recommend contributing to a good cause although I could understand it might get pricey for a family, the kids will love it.

My partner and I had an incredible two-night stay at Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary. We loved exploring the bush tracks and spending time with the animals, all of which are clearly well cared for in such a beautiful natural setting. The facilities are excellent, and the entire experience felt both relaxing and meaningful. The staff were absolutely wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. A special thank you to Talia and Molly for making our stay extra memorable. We would highly recommend Walkabout Wildlife Park to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in nature, as well as to those passionate about wildlife and conservation.

This place is so underrated. It’s a great establishment with amazing bush walking trails. Wallabies, kangaroos, and emus roam around freely. They’re friendly! We met Gundy the blind wombat who’s friendly and loves people! He’s the cutest and the best. The animals seem to be well taken care of.

I had an absolutely fantastic time! The staff were incredibly friendly and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of my visit was definitely the lively lunchtime feeding session, where we got to interact with the kangaroos and other animals. It was such a fun experience to see them up close and watch their playful antics while enjoying the unique setting.

Amazing place. Wonderful staff who are friendly, happy to chat and answer Ur questions, and seem to genuinely care about the animals in their care. Glad to see most of the native animals getting to live free range and in technically, their natural environment.

A very nice wildlife park where some animals such as emus, kangaroos and wallabies roam freely with the visitors. There was also many other animals to see including cute rabbits, dingoes, birds, wild cats, lizards, snakes and much more. It was a lovely day out and would recommend to families with kids.

I’m from Taiwan and this place is a hidden gem. It’s a really nice area for family(especially with kids) and friends to have a beautiful day out. You get to see a lot of cute animals. Love the wallabies and meerkats. Love from Taiwan

Fantastic place to experience Australian wildlife up close in a natural and spacious setting. The sanctuary is home to a variety of native animals, including emus, kangaroos, wallabies, and wombats, many of which roam freely, making it a truly immersive experience. One of the highlights was the cheeky cockatoos that say “hello” as you walk past! A fun surprise, but be careful with the white alpaca—it has a habit of spitting and won’t let its alpaca friend get any food. The bag of feed is only $3, which is plenty as a treat to share with the alpaca, goats, and rabbits.Walking through the sanctuary feels peaceful and authentic, with plenty of opportunities to interact with the wildlife. It’s a great place for families, nature lovers, or anyone wanting a break from the usual zoo experience. Highly recommend a visit!
