That might be a bit of exaggeration. However, since I have stayed here for 4 weeks with a week to go, I can share the perspective of having been here more than a night or two.|Someone staying here needs to remember two or three things. First, this is Haiti. You are going to be subject to some of the vagaries of Haiti. That means the air conditioning will be affected by the municipal power flow. Air conditioning is usually on through the night and part of the day. |Secondly, you will be living within a walled and guarded compound. You will not have to worry about safety. I have also done extensive walking around the area and not encounter any problems. |Thirdly, there will be two meals included in your cost, served buffet-style. While the food is nothing fancy, it generally tastes good. There will be a mixture of North American and Haitian style food, and plenty of it.|The staff at Wall's is very congenial and helpful. They will try to help you with whatever your need is, or put you in contact with someone who can help you.|Your rooms will not be fancy, but they will be clean. If there is any service you need you merely have to ask.|I have found that much of the enjoyment of staying at Wall's guest house is meeting people from other parts of the world and learning about them and why they are in Haiti. They may be on a mission trip, a business trip, or adopting a child. There are lots of interesting stories at Wall's.|Again, if you have to have fancy, then pay four times as much and stay at the Marriott. But if you are satisfied with a good place and a moderate price then Wall's will fit the bill.
