Luckily its not all self check like the 98 store is. However my cashier was rude. The store shines in some areas and falls flat in others. They do well with decorating and being a community but their employees are sullen. Their produce is great but their deli has out of dates. Their apparel is the best I've seen but their garden center didn't have any employees with three customers waiting. No one says hello or good morning and they look startled when you say it. I had to point out that my cashier rang my item more than once and she looked angry that I pointed it out and kept talking to the cashier at the register behind her instead of talking to me. They have grocery pallets placed in their layaway area by the toilets. All in all, I'm confused why this store is praised so highly.

It pains me to write this review but I must. Mike is a great store manager but a majority of the employees there have forgotten what Walmart employees used to be trained to do when it comes to customers. There used to be a "ten foot rule" taught to every employee at Walmart. That if you came within 10 feet of any employee you smiled, spoke and offered assistance. Not anymore at this location. 90% of the employees of this store think you're in their way, they will run into you while shopping for Walmart pick up and not even look back. Most of the stockers will not help you find anything that has been moved within the past week of your last trip to the store, you're bothering them. The worst part of the store outside of the employees who used to be cashiers who now apparently get paid to stand around and talk to one another on the front end and make snide comments about customers has got to be the produce and deli section. There is one employee in the produce section if you ask her anything she will roll her eyes at you and walk off. She has done it multiple times to me never helped once, but I've seen her go and help other people that she apparently knows cause she will then laugh and cut up with them and ignore any other customer she doesnt think is good enough to help. I finally have had enough after today when it took me over 45 minutes to get my glasses reodered because the vision center screwed up my fitting of the $300 pair of glasses I ordered and paid for out of pocket. I had enough time to go to the deli get some thing and get back to work. The employee working the deli counter, sighed rolled her eyes and made a big production out of having to make a plate with three chicken tenders and scoop of mac and cheese in it. threw it up on the counter walked off. Never spoke, nothing. Anyone knows me I will speak to anyone at anytime and treat everyone with respect. Went to check out and had to listen to all the cashiers up front talking about what people were buying, what they were wearing and all the other things about people spending their hard earned money at their store that pays their salaries and provides employment to them. This used to be one of the best Walmarts in the area. But the building is needing a major overhaul again from the people working there to the bathrooms to even the front door thats been broken for weeks. Get it together. I will add Ms. Christy who stocks groceries, Mr. Cory in garden center and Ms. Wanda at the front end go above and beyond to help people. They are the allstars of this Walmart. Without them it wouldnt even be worth going too. Also please dont do the cut and paste generic response like everyone else's posts. We know you're not reading this Walmart.

Columbia MS Walmart- pickup is awful. Takes me an hour most times to actually get my order. They even gave my order to someone else one day after I waited an hour, then had to wait on the items to be picked again and they didn’t give me half of them. However, due to the app saying my order was picked up by the other person I couldn’t ask for a refund on the items I didn’t receive. If it’s raining forget about getting your order. I have been sitting here 30 minutes now and not a single employee has came out of the door. Some days I’ll only see one employee putting the orders in cars alone. They have too many pickup spots to employees ratio. Need a max of 8 spots and not take as many orders if they cannot fulfill them.

Actually todays vist i found it most oddly quiet . And thin on customers . I tend to be a very observing Person, no matter where I am its as if i scan my path & surrounding area and today was different. Everyone semmed to be talking about the same thing . As though the audience were conveying over the same movie and I seemed to either be the weird guy that everyone had left out and or I was the main character in the live show of life.

This is a great Walmart. The staff are friendly. The store is very organized. The manager is helpful and polite. I love how Walmart delivers to my house now.

The Wal-Mart in Columbia is the best managed store I have ever been to and the associates at this location are by far the friendliest in the state of Mississippi.

This walmart is pitiful, store selves are always empty and takes sometimes weeks to get merchandise back in and it's not a shortage thing either because ive been in walmart in Hattiesburg, McComb and Pensacola Florida and those stores dont have this problem and on top of that you have to most of the time go back outside and get a shopping cart from the parking lot because they rarely collect them . it used to not be like this when Ray Matthew's was there

I have to say my experience started off terrible. I talked with 2 employees in produce/food section. Everyone kept telling me they were out of a certain product. Then I spoke with Todd P. (Manager) and he didn’t make it any better. No effort to help me or look for this item. He assured me it wasn’t worth going to look for it, he didn’t have any. I was looking down the baking aisle and a lady stopped me and asked what was I looking for. I told her and she pulled out a medium size electronic device. She pulled up the inventory and found that there was about 21+ of the item I was looking for in different brands. She then location where it was in the back stock area. The lady left looking for the manager. A young man named Shoe that works in produce asked did I need help, I told him what i needed. He went and found it. He came right back less than 5 minutes. I have to give him praise because he put effort into helping me. He didn’t just blow me off or act like I was getting in his nerves. But what really bothered me is seeing Todd help another customer and offer to go look in the back to find something that this woman needed, when I didn’t get the same treatment in return. But again, I would like to give a big thanks to the Team Lead Larry and Shoe in the produce department. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! And also to the secret Walmart lady who looks to have been a part of Walmart regional management.

I got robbed at this walmart by the technology section. When i told the employees they looked at me like I was crazy. Thanks walmart for all the help in retrieving my money.
