We just drove in from out of town over 500 miles. I needed to stop to get my kids something to eat. They wanted hot dogs. I had 10 mins before closing time and they would not let me run in and get the food. There were people coming out. But no one was able to go in. There were 2 rude people at the door and they didn't care. It was very upsetting because there was nowhere else I could get anything for my kids that night because everything else was closed. I was pretty upset to say the least. Because if I knew I was gonna get turned away I would not have set it as a destination before going to the hotel.

When you come here to buy Cologne, you can wait 1 hour in front of the locker. You may need to go to customer service 3 times for someone to help you. Be prepared to be stolen from 1 hour of your life

Wasn't too bad of an experience, but they were out of several things that I needed, as usual. I actually had a lot of employees that were friendly and helpful, but sadly, you don't get that very often at Walmart. And as long as the lines were, it surprisingly didn't take long to check out. But, I was glad to get out of the store bc it was so hot in there, it normally is, but it just seemed worse than usual. I gave it 4 stars bc of the employees that helped me and also bc I was able to get the majority of my grocery shopping done.. Oh, and I found a parking spot fast that was close to the door, so that was a definite bonus!

Google
Just tired of finding something I like and they discontinue it. If the greeter at the door is to lazy to have the buggies out for you then what makes you think that I will stop and let them check my receipt. If you don't trust me to walk out the door with something then you should not let me check myself out.

Had a 1pm appointment for a/c recharge in automotive. It took 1 1/2 hrs. Wasn't expecting that. But store was clean not too crowded. Pleasant shopping experience.

Google
I would give negative stars if I could. This place is horrible. They treat some customers like criminals, but other people who are friends with the employees get waved on by and aren't checked at all. The only reason this company exists is to suck all the joy and happiness out of the world.

Yelp
We visited here because we were told they had some great men's Mardi Gras costumes. Alas, they sell out when they get them. Great selection of Mardi Gras decor and t-shirts. Very competitively priced. The store was a lot cleaner than back home.

Yelp
Love the new high end department store look. While Walmart isn't my go to for fashions, I do shop here for my sweats, socks and some leisure wear to chill around the house. Sadly, imma have to revoke Walmart's temporary soul food selling card. They have no business selling chitt'lin seasoning. If you know how to cook chitterlings aka chitt'lins then you don't need this. They just broke a cardinal rule of soul food cookery. FYI...I don't eat these anymore because the old folk that cooked them are gone and they were clean. Can't trust some of these cooks today lol.

Yelp
I am handicapped and have used the 'Pickup/Delivery' Service to get groceries each month. Since January of 2023 either some items have been either containers broken, past the 'Best Buy' date or within a few days or missing completely from my orders. The past two months I have waited each time over 40 minutes to get into a slot at the 'Pickup' lot, then waited no less than 40 minutes to have my order placed in my car. The first time I did not get my order but was charged for it. I wouldn't have received a refund if I hadn't taken another hour on the phone with customer services navigating their 'Chat Bot' and Decision Tree, then their 2nd world front line Customer Service Personnel to finally speak with a Supervisor who credited me what I never received. This past week I waited again over an hour and a half to only have a clerk breeze to my car without even acknowledging me and begin loading it without checking off the inventory I was receiving. When I got home I realized only 1/2 of what I was charged for was delivered. At home, I took another 90 minutes to speak again with a HUMAN at their Customer Services and was told with utmost empathy that the mediocrity and poor deceitful service would be looked into. I was summarily emailed a $10 gift certificate and when I went to use it I discovered that it would not process! When I spent another 90 minutes on the phone with Customer Service another 2nd world CS representative began arguing with me and told me that WM could NOT DO BETTER! I called WM CS once again and after 60 more minutes discovered that there was a problem with the initial coupon, that there is STILL a problem with Store 911 and their Pickup/Delivery Department.

Yelp
The parking lot was full, so I was expecting inside to be jam packed. Well, to be fair, there were a lot of people inside, but you could easily move through the aisles. The restroom was actually very clean! Everything was well stocked and reasonably priced. The lines to check out were actually not bad! Amazing. Maybe this was all just a fluke, but impressive.

Yelp
This evening I checked in for my pick up order on their app at around 7:00pm. My Walmart pick up order was marked as Complete at 7:18pm - meaning they completed my payment and show that I received my groceries even though I hadn't even been acknowledged yet. At 8:03pm I was told by an employee with only two weeks of experience that his manager just left and told him to "shut it down." We both saw his manager rushing to her vehicle and clearly avoiding any chance of eye contact with him. So I'm out of my grocery money and was given absolutely nothing to show for it. The new employee did not know what to do and didn't have anyone to consult with either, nor did he know how to locate my order. I asked if I should try their phone number for the pick up orders and was informed that a lot of times they don't know where that phone is at and this was one of those occasions. Thank you Walmart, for literally stealing my grocery money. Thank you Walmart, for having a management team leading pickup orders that doesn't support their new hires. Thank you Walmart, for leaving a brand new employees to tell their waiting customers they have to "shut down" regardless of the time spent waiting. Thank you Walmart, for literally charging me for an hour of my time instead of exchanging it for my actual grocery order. Thank you for this classic and unsurprising Walmart experience! All this griping is to simply say, please consider changing your manager to a leader who wouldn't leave employees and customers in this absurd predicament. There are certainly better employees working at your store that could bring a better value to your management team without literally stealing from your customers. -- Order# 57832160-901008

Yelp
Refused to let us in at 10:38pm I guess they close whenever they want to. As you can see they're just hanging out on their phone.

Yelp
This has always been an easy Walmart to shop at after work Plus it stays open till 11pm at night It has all the usual food and groceries Pharmacy and products Clothes and shoes Your usual Walmart for everything you need Parking lot isn't as big as some of the others It's an older Walmart But it still has all your basic needs available for your purchase They do have a self check out

Yelp
The service they gave me was a 1 star this one lady ( did not get her name) I was trying to find a Stanley cup but I forget they were in target. She yelled at me and said "get your a** out nobody wants you in this b****."

Yelp
They advertised, posted the times and when I called Dec. 23 an associate assured me they would be opening Christmas Eve at 6am! Arrived at the store at 6:10am from Belle Chase and the hours on the door said 6am. The store was closed except for employees. There is a parking lot full of shoppers and we were told they were NOT OPENING until 7am! This Walmart always has problems.

Tyril M.

Yelp
The pick up department is super slow and under staff. The average wait time is 1-3 hours and there is no store manager or anyone in charge to address this matter. I hope they develop a better solution to improve wait times

Yelp
Horrendous. I had an urgent tire issue in which a nail had pierced the inside of my tires. I went to Walmart, seeing as they were 1 of few places open, with it being a weekend. I dropped my car off, and since my partner and I had been riding together, we decided to bid our time by shopping and roaming the aisles. We waited 1 (one) hour. 1 hour until we were finally called to the tire center, only for the manager (who checked me in and inspected my tire) to tell me that he couldn't fix it because it wasn't on the outer lining...... That had it only been a few centimeters closer to the edge that they could have fixed it. A few centimeters :-). I finished the interaction blowing it off, saying no worries and whatnot (because at that point what can you do), but I felt so cheated. To have made us wait as long as we did only to tell us you aren't capable of fixing the issue is inexcusable. You could have simply told me while you were checking my car in by taking a quick glance at the nail/tire. It's beyond me. I will never ever use Walmart Tire Center again. I then went to Pepboys and was thankfully taken care of.

Yelp
Do not order food from here, especially for delivery. Items are constantly missing or ruined, things such as bread items are so close to the expiration date that if you don't immediately freeze or use up in 48 hrs, you will stuff growing on it. Produce is usually beat up. I'm done getting any groceries there and this hasn't been a 1 time thing
google avatar

Yelp
This Walmart is a joke. I've been waiting for 45+ mins for an "express pickup order". Literall1 item, btw. Employees don't know how to operate the express pickup systems. During covid you'd think they'd at least try to accommodate a contactless purchase, when I fact I came in contact with far more people through this method than just coming in and purchasing. Employees standing around doing nothing and basically laughing at my requests for help. For some reason they act like purchasing through the app or express pickup is outside of their responsibility. A few were relatively nice about helping, but another dozen couldn't have been less friendly and helpful. I don't usually write reviews and very rarely are negative, but take my advice, bypass this horrendous place unless absolutely necessary!

Yelp
What can I say, it's a Wal-Mart?! Hehe and although I loathe Wal-Mart it is slightly cheaper than Target. And I do appreciate that this one has self checkout lanes bc waiting in line at Wal-Mart is like one of Dante's inner circles of hell! Hehe This Wal-Mart is normally pretty clean. I usually come here late at night when they are restocking so it's less crowded and they probably have time to pick up the store. They have an extensive section where the garden area normally is for Christmas decorations. I find it interesting that there are things that wal-Mart varies but target doesn't and vice versa.

Yelp
I live out of state but my Mom is in a care facility in this area. I placed a order for personal hygiene products on Wednesday to be delivered by 11am on Thursday. The order was delayed for some reason. I called customer service. They rescheduled the order for 9am on Friday morning. It never arrived. I called and spoke to the store manager and the manager of the online ordering department. They both GUARANTEED me the items would be delivered today. Well come to find out through customer service that it's up to the driver on whether or not they want to deliver items. Apparently, it doesn't matter if your boss tells you to do something you choose what to do. Worst customer service experience from a Walmart ever! Will be canceling the order and going to another store nearby. Talk is cheap Rayne, the manager of online pickup and delivery services. You have just lost a weekly customer. No this isn't the first time I've had problems.

Yelp
The store was well staffed with employees so I don't think my bad experience was a result of overworked employees. When I asked a question, my inquiries were met with rudeness and apathy. My bad experience was with 3 different employees, which to me indicates an issue with store management and employee behavior oversight.

Yelp
They carry just about anything you would need to survive a zombie apocalypse. Food, clothing, sporting goods, pet supplies, garden supples, pharmacy items, and so forth. My issue is that I might rather be eaten by zombies than have to shop here. The store is huge, and although I came for groceries and Milk Bones, I had to cross the entire store to get that one item from the pet department. By the time I got to one of the approximately 568 registers, I was plumb, worn out. Seriously, I could have cut my cardio by 10 minutes today. And keeping the store clean doesn't seem to be at the top of anyone's list either. It's not filthy, but nothing shines. Next surprise - maybe 5 of the registers were actually open. Really!?!? Good Lawd! I was in no mood. And guess what - my cashier was brand new. Aaaagh! It took FOREVER to check out. I looked like a zombie by the time I left. I do have to say that every employee that I encountered was friendly and happy to help with anything I needed. Most importantly, directions. I'll probably be back, because the prices here are crazy low, but I'll probably do a good amount of cursing on the way home. Like I did today.

Yelp
This is one of the ONLY Walmarts that I have been to, where I don't have to wait in line for hours, because there are no lines open. It is always clean and neat in here. I was even able to call the electronics department and actually speak with an associate without being put on hold for 3 hours! Every associate I have run into here has been friendly and helpful. This place gets 2 thumbs up for me.

Yelp
On Nov. 11, I transferred my service to AT&T at Walmart on Jefferson Hwy New Orleans, which the saleslady named Angela (from Mississippi) recommended.  Their promotional material stated various plans and I selected the best, labeled at $50 a month.  The saleslady told me since I was over 55, I would get a $15 a month discount totaling a bill for $35 a month.  Two days ago, having had service for 8 days, I received a bill from AT&T for $80. I called AT&T and reported the problem. The salesperson entered a completely wrong address for me in California where I never lived.  The $15 a month discount she gave me for being over 55 applied only in Florida! AT&T told me that the sales person who made the sale, DID NOT work for AT&T.  Today, Sunday I stopped into an AT&T corporate store and was told their comparable plan cost $75 a month, plus about 10% tax, totaling around $82 a month. I returned to Walmart looking for Angela and had an UNBELIEVABLE experience.  The cell phone dept manager was having a conversation with a woman wearing a ROKU shirt, presumable another vendor. I asked where Angela was I was screamed at by the Walmart employee. Asking who does Angela work for the dept manager would not tell me saying I might be a stalker.  This was so disturbing I took a photo of the Walmart employee to send to their manager, whence they started to scream at me and said they'd call security, at which I said fine, I'll erase the photo.  The Walmart Employee wouldn't stop screaming, and then literally chased me down the isle, attempting to first grab my cell phone then my arm, screaming for security.  I kept yelling for a manager, finally one appeared asking if I'd erase the photo which I gladly did. When I told the manager that I had told "him", the employee I would erase it, the employee screamed "I'm a woman!" whence I notice it's Walmart name tag said MARY. People selling cell phone service at Walmart, I have learned, are NOT Walmart employees, but vendors who seemingly make up the deal so they can make a quick sale in any manner.  I could never find out who Angela worked for. AT&T understanding the situation reduced my cell phone payment to $17 for the few days of service. AT&T is a reputable company. I have Never experienced anything like the behavior by Mary, a large, Walmart employee. Do NOT buy a cell phone at Walmart on Jefferson Hwy.

Yelp
The employees are horrible!! I was walking through the toy section and accidentally knocked off a toy from the bottom shelf. This employee who was walking in the same direction says to me while cursing with children around," Why the Fu*k did you kick that on the ground!" Practically screaming. I was about to pick it up when she said that but, I bent back off the ground and walked straight by giving her a dirty look as us teens do, forcing her to pick it up. She could have just asked me to pick it up instead of yelling at a customer. I will not be returning anytime soon until they fix their employees behaviors!

Weston B.

Yelp
This location is absolutely horrible in every sense of the word. I cannot properly express how badly this location is run. From the management team all the way down to the normal retail associates. This review will have absolutely no effect, but Walmart seriously needs to do a purge on this location and start fresh. The issue is the people that work there are going to end up working somewhere else so maybe it's best they stay at this Walmart. I would seriously hate to see them ruin the reputation of another business In the area, but I refuse to go to this location unless it's absolutely necessary.

Jasonique S.

Yelp
Worst customer service ever ! Especially if your trying to call they always hang up in your face if i can give 0 stars i would

Yelp
This is a pretty good Wal Mart. You might be asking yourself "what qualifies a pretty good Wal Mart?" Well, for me it's a few things: I find what I need quickly and easily, the check out lines move fast and...that's about it. This Wal Mart met all of my Wal Mart expectations. I stopped in on an afternoon that I happened to be passing by and needed some stuff. Walking through this place I realized that this Wal Mart is way bigger than the one in Harvey, which means they have more stuff to choose from. I didn't need much on this trip, just some basic makeup and some ear buds. I found both without hassle and without having to deal with too many other people (don't you hate when people block an entire aisle with their cart?). Believe it or not, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I was even super impressed when the check out woman in my line had to go price check something for another customer and another worker saw me waiting, waved me over to her line and checked me out WITHOUT PROMPTING. Pretty good, Wal Mart.

Yelp
This is my least hated Walmart in all the land, if that makes sense. It's out in Elmwood, and I hit it up usually mid-day so it's never uber-crazy. If you're facing it, I either park wide left on the side or wide right near the gardening stuff. I like to go to this Walmart when I've got a huge list of totally random things I need to get, i.e. dog harness, trash bin, craft containers, the randomest of the random. I've also scooped up some great starter plants (that haven't died) for super cheap here though their garden section will always leave something to be desired... I don't really shop for food at this Walmart since it's usually hit up in an epic errand sesh, and my car is not a moving refrigerator. They recently installed self-checkout and today was my most stress-free buying process ever at a Walmart. It's so hard to describe because it's never ever ever ever this easy to checkout at a Walmart...and now it is. I used to sneak on over to the Garden Center and check out there, but the last few times my plan was foiled due to all their Christmas decorations being in that section as well. The only time this Walmart had me near-tantrum was when I was returning some Halloween makeup I didn't end up using ( I guess I really wanted that $9 back), and there was a woman returning an entire cart of items. I couldn't understand how you could decide that an entire cart was deemed returnable if not for some shady practice, alas, this wasn't Walmart's fault, but they should've brought another person on to do Customer Service. One for ridiculousness and another for real returns.

Yelp
Eh what can I say its walmart. This walmart has lots of parking spots available. But I will be quick to point out that all the best ones are usually taken. Oh yeah, try and avoid parking in the parking spots right by the highway. That way nobody will be tempted to key the side of your car while your in the store. Their prices here tend to be cheaper than most other businesses. But they are NOT the cheapest store around. The customer service is lousy but what do you expect. The biggest problem with the service is that they got 35 registers and only 6 cashiers. Whats wrong with this picture? I just wish walmart would hire more cashiers that way you won't be waiting an hour in line. In short unsafe parking, understaffed, and bad attitudes. Is it really worth dealing with all that just to save a few dollars?
google avatar

Yelp
It's a WalMart and I'm not really a fan, but it's near my parents house and someone had given me a gift card and I needed cereal. Bleh. The best thing about going to WalMart is the people watching: I saw a child get hit with a shoe because he had lost the other one somewhere in the store. I saw 2 other children pretending to get shot and roll around in the aisles, challenging all the basket pushers. And, of course, there was the incredibly stoned couple who couldn't comprehend anything the cashier told them. Good times. For some reason, this store had an insane number of liquor displays this weekend. Who knew they still made Boonesfarm Strawberry Hill (I immediately texted a friend to inform him it was still being made...good times at 14) or grape vodka.

Yelp
Needed new tires ASAP.. Arrived at automotive center at 8:00 am on a Friday morning my new tires were on by 9:00 pm and I was driving home.. Goodyear would of had me waiting 4 hours so I was very pleased with tire service here.
google avatar

Cindy H.

Yelp
I only gave one star because they always have great prices. Have you been to Walmart lately? I haven't been there is quite some time so when I went last weekend, I needed everything! I didn't know they only have a few cashier's and the rest are self check. The lines with a real person were backed up into the clothes. I had more than $500 in my cart and I was alone. I had to put it all on the conveyor belt, scan it, bag it and put it on the floor so I could keep emptying the cart. Not once did staff ask if I needed help or offer another cart so I could fill one while emptying one. It took me 45 minutes to get it all scanned and back in the cart. The bags are so thin now, some of it had to be double bagged. I will NEVER buy my groceries at Walmart again.

Yelp
Voodoo BBQ express located inside. This WalMart is very clean, well organized, has grocery and regular store, and is surprisingly nice to shop in. It is difficult to park and takes FOREVER to check out.

Yelp
Friendly, clean, and welcoming super Walmart with everything you need here even coffee and smoothies!

Yelp
Watched an employee ride one of the motorized shopping carts from inside the store to the side of the building to sit and take his break. No wonder there are never any available carts!

Yelp
Went to get a tire replaced under the road hazard warranty. First off, I pulled up to the tent area to get my information taken, which there was no associate there and waited 11 minutes for them to show up. I handed the associate my tire road hazard warranty contract and explained that I had a nail in my tire. The associate handed back my warranty paperwork and had me spell out letter by letter everything on the contract. He even made me spell "Street" for him. Not sure if he was able to read or spell. Next, the associate couldn't read my VIN number so he got another associate to type it in for him. Then, the associate couldn't figure out how to look up my warranty contract number, so I was pushed on the the next associate. The new person had trouble looking up my information and while ordering my new tire, walked off 7 separate times to check people out with groceries who brought them back to the tire center. They also had to get the manager to show them how to use the computer system. It took 1 hour and 37 minutes (ran a stopwatch on it) from start to finish to get a tire ordered. The associate then told me the tire would be in on Wednesday at noon. I called Wednesday at noon to make sure it was there before driving over and spoke with the same associate. They then proceeded to tell me that it wasn't there and they had no idea when it would get in. I asked if they could check tracking or ask the receiving department, to which I was told they don't track those things. Overall my experience has been atrocious with this Walmart. I will never again purchase tires or automotive products from them again. I will pay the small amount extra to deal with professionals at a well known tire shop.

Yelp
I'm almost tempted not to post this because I have the impression Walmart really doesn't care if the customers are being treated well or not. But, here goes: I'm in the check out line, and the elderly lady in front of me had one of my items rang up with hers. When the elderly lady tried to explain it to the cashier, she barely paid attention to her. First she told her that I could pay her for the item, (I would if i had the cash), then the told her she would have to go to customer service for a refund. And she refused. Good for her. Meanwhile my frozen food is thawing. Finally a "manager " came to refund her money. I asked the manager if she could bring one of those plastic separators for the conveyor so it wouldn't happen to someone else. She said if there was any separators there, it would have been used. When I asked her if she could actually like a manager and prevent a future incident like this, she reluctantly brought one. I can deal with the crappie merchandise, and the long lines, but the management is either unwilling or unable to teach good customer service skills. In that case we all have to suffer.

Yelp
Like everyone else has said... It's Walmart. Don't make the same mistake as me and come at night when little to no employees are around. Yay! That they have fabric here, but mega boo that no one is around to cut it for you once you've picked out your rolls :( Took us 30 minutes to get someone paged and even then another 30 of us wandering on our own to find an employee that was able to literally use a pair scissors. Golly if I had known it was all in that cabinet, I woulda done it myself! But hey, that's what you get for going to Walmart. At least the prices are dirt cheap...

Billie B.

Yelp
I visited your store today Monday 8-10-2020. Several employees were walking around the floor who were not wearing their masks properly. Some exposed their noses and others were wearing their masks on their chins. For the most part most were wearing them properly, but it only takes one to spread the virus.
google avatar

April Curran F.

Yelp
The customer service here is a joke. The managers dont even anwer their phones. They say the customer is always right but they certainly do not abide by that. Today they lost a customer. Honestly they arent that much cheaper than other stores.

Yelp
Don't hate it. Well, actually I'm not a fan of the produce. The freezer sections are well stocked as are the aisles. The infant section is pretty well stocked. Biggest point of irritation begins and ends in the parking lot. The carts are all over the place. There aren't enough carrells to contain them all and they just hang off of the islands and in the car spaces. All before 10 am on a Saturday. And the carts. Not one that isn't falling apart. So much so that a staff person saw me try to pick over three malfunctioning options and told me to call the 800 number on my receipt after checking out. She said the condition they were in was disgraceful. So, yeah. I think I'm going to Target instead. I don't care if it's farther away.

Yelp
Well...i go to Walmart a lot for oil changes. and I never make mistakes like this...but I'm sad to say that today I made a HUGE mistake and left my wallet UNKNOWINGLY in my car during a oil change...I was 15 min in when I realized I did not have it, when I went to go pay for something... My fault I know..but still... I immediately went to ask one of the guys if he could perhaps grab it for me. He seemed hesitant. My car was the only car there. They ALL gave me a weird vibe. 3 guys total. I felt like they were trying to get me away from my car... telling me to go OUTSIDE TO THE TENT. Idk why. Cuz I've never been asked to do that... telling me to wait inside while they took my car down. Chatting me up basically. I finally got to my car and found my wallet by the passenger side near the door. now I didn't suspect anything initially because I thought maybe it had been there the whole time... but I seem to be around $100 short, most likely MORE than that...but I'll say $100 minimum for sure... now that Ive counted. Which is devastating. I'm just writing for everyone to be aware and to not let your guard down and always get ALL of your belongings out of your car. Common sense but still...Be aware.. because one day someone might take advantage of your mistakes :( Also maybe management will see this and talk to their employees.

Yelp
Just went Friday to get something and found out they had a coffee kiosk called 2 Friends and a Chef. I tried there frozen espresso and I was very impressed for something I never heard of. I am also impressed Walmart has this and hopefully the one on Veterans has the same thing.

Yelp
So...it's a Walmart. You know the deal. Parking sucks, and they close early for a Walmart (11pm instead of midnight). Long checkout lines. Frequently out of stock or low stock on staples like milk, eggs. This is specifically about the new "Pickup" service which is meant to compete with Amazon and expedite the process of shopping at Walmart. They've constructed an enormous orange tower in the store to promote this service. We ordered something super-cheap and easy (mesh laundry bag for camp) to try out the service. You "check in" at the tower for an associate to unlock the locker and release your purchase. They ask you to check on in the app when you get to the store, which we did. We had other items to shop for which took about 30 minutes. So we checked in at tower, 10 minute wait, no acknowledgment from store staff. Inquired with security at the door, spoke with two separate yellow-vest managers, all had attitude and didn't seem to care at all about the Pickup service. 20 more minutes passed, no one could find the key to the locker. Finally an associate with an orange Pickup shirt came over, also with attitude, asked again for all the information including our name and what the item was, and we were able to leave. At least 35-40 minute wait and had to ask four different employees for assistance. This is the opposite of convenience.

Yelp
Actually had a Walmart associates go above and beyond and to top it off they were positive individuals the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Yelp
Sad to say, they Still haven't solved the handicap scooter problem yet..There are only a few that are working and remains unrepaired..thousands of customers patronize Wal-Mart..and they're not even a little bit concerned about the disable/handicap..so much that they even removed the bench where you can sit and wait for transportation..SHAME ON YOU Walmart.

Yelp
I just can't bring myself to give Wally World anything higher than a 2. Yes they have the lowest prices But that's it, you also get what you pay for. You get non-existent Customer Service. and the "experts" they put in certain departments are a joke. Go to the electronics section and ask the worker there where the HDMI cords are and prepare for the "I have no idea what you're talking about stare". Also why does Wal Mart have 30 check out lines, yet only 4 are open and each one has like 20 people waiting? Why are all the self checkout machines turned off? Why is the fruit going bad?

Yelp
Why do we shop at Wal-Mart? Because we have to. Because they've eliminated competitors and beat up their vendors on pricing. Wal-Mart is a bully, but you can get "fresh" green beans, an Elmo doll, underwear, and an oil change all under one roof. So that's good, right? Not so much. And this one is dirty and unkept. Not as atrocious as the sister site on Tchoupitoulas but a close 2nd. I've traveled around the country and visited numerous Wal-Marts and fail to understand in all of its bloated glory why the shopping experience here can't be more consistent.

Yelp
Okay, before you say anything I know its WalmartI shouldn't expect Target quality. However, this Walmart in general is just horrible. So, it is Christmas time so I'm not expecting this calming experience and again it Walmart, come on dude. I go in and I'm looking for the computers in electronics, there is no one there to answer questions or to even open up the cage to get a laptop. So, I go to the bathroom (drank a lot of water that day) when I get in there two of the stalls are out of order one being the handicap stall (like really). Go in to the stall and there is no lock, so I'm trying to rig a lock with my purse and the door. I wanted a computer not to show off my MacGyver skills. Go back to the electronics section and there is a girl who comes to unlock the computers, but because they didn't really have anyone working in electronics there was no way to actually get the assistance that I need on the computers. After checking out, I went to my car and there was a line of baskets blocking me in. I see the guy who is getting the baskets and he makes CLEAR eye contact with me and sees this is my car. Now, in an ideal scenario, he would have got the baskets from behind my car and I would have been able to leave; because you gathering baskets should not affect me from leaving a store. He then decides to gather the baskets from the parking lot. I gesture to him a few times I needed to back out, because call me crazy why should I have to wait for you to finish your job before I can leave to go to my job?! I was able to back out of the parking spot 15 mins later *inserts mad emoji* I usually, don't like to come to this location just because they are ALWAYS over packed and the prices are higher at this location than the other ones, but I was pressed for time and I will not make that mistake again.

Yelp
I dread all Wal-Mart's. This one especially. It's always too hot in here! I have to sit down on every trip because I feel like I'm going to pass out. The lines are always ridiculously long. And there never seems to be an employee in sight.

Yelp
Poor Customer service and bad quality assurance. I purchased breakfast sausage patties on Saturday and went home and froze them, the next morning I get up to find green mold spores all across the meat, eww! I could have gotten sick if I din't happen to see the mold. I called the manufacture, they showed concern, they issues me a coupon and an apology and along with the statement that wal mart should not have sold that meat in the first place, it was expired. So I called the local wal mart to let them know about the old meat, to voice my concerns and explain that if they don't do their job to ensure the food is not past its expiration people could get sick or worse. Its an important safety issue in my opinion. Well I didn't get the chance to speak to a manager cause they wouldn't even come to the phone. I get the person ask what it was about so she could get the correct manager ,she put me on hold. 25 minutes of waitng, so I just hung up, so that means that the manager didn't get this information and possibly other people will buy this moldy meat. I called corporate thinking, the message will get through. Would you believe, I get a message saying they simply don't have time to talk to everyone right now, and I could call back later. So I see how to local stores don't care, when the big honchos could care less.
