I had such a wonderful experience the week. I had purchased a couple of items late into the evening only to find they didn’t work, I went back inside since I hadn’t left the parking lot yet and was told I would have to come in between the hours of 8am-8pm as customer service was closed. I tried asking how long I had to be able to return my items and get my money back but no one could answer. Finally, one of them got in contact with the supervisor, Rye, and he was so helpful. Asked him the question I had and he answered straight away! I then showed to him that I hadn’t even purchased it 10 minutes prior to coming back in and he offered to give me my refund right away. To say I was happy was an understatement. I was so relieved to not have to come back on an entirely different day and make an almost 1 hour commute to the store. He really saved my gas that day!

Some people may say Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, but I would have to politely and firmly disagree Those people have never been to a Walmart on a Friday night or a Saturday afternoon heck even a Sunday morning. Let me paint you a picture; 7 AM the emo chick in the Cookie Monster pajamas standing in the cat food aisle unsure what her six cats at home is gonna enjoy. She chugs the rest of the white monster that she hasn’t checked out and has been drinking as she peruses the store. sets it on the shelves next to the meow mix. She’ll be going with pure balance assuming it’s the healthy choice but it’s actually just Walmart signature cat food.

Google
They screwed me out of a $75 gift card. I got scammed and after they found out that it was a scam, refused to refund my money. I'm going to open a lawsuit against Walmart for $5,000,000. The gift card, Walmart knowing they were being scammed but did nothing to take the cards out of service, pain and suffering and emotional trauma.

Google
Basic decent Walmart experience. Not filthy and crazy. They were hosting a fundraising cookout outside. Enough registered open to get people through.

Carson Woodward

Google
Actually a very clean and enjoyable Walmart experience. Not cramped and “bumper to bumper” like other Walmarts in the area. Plentiful self checkouts make getting in and out a breeze. Multiple entrances as well, so you can park all around the building.

Google
Not a super bad store but the online shoppers could be nicer and not block the isles for customers who still shop for themselves. More assistance could be available and products dont seem to be checked on enough cause some of the meat was looking rough and grey. I shop here often cause its the closest store and walmart to me. Some products are priced too high for the ammount you get but everything is high now. Just keep an eye out for the homeless walking the parking lot begging and leaving trash all over. They need more people to check such things. I just continue to pray for better.

Oh my. They are redoing the store and I can't find anything. I go to this store at least 5 times a week. I was able to score some fabric for a very inexpensive price. I guess that is part of the redo. Overall I will just have to be patient, tolerant and understanding. The lemonade though is worth it. 👌

Google
On almost a regular basis when I checked out, there's an item rang up for a higher price than what's on the shelf. Walmart is pulling the Dollar General stunt. It's a gimmick to make more money. Most people including myself at a self checkout won't walked back to get the correct price to dispute it or find an employee to dispute the pricing for $0.40. However, $.30 here $.40 there adds up to huge profit in sales 😡

Yelp
Why? Why do I torture myself by going to Walmart? I remember! It's because our Target is half the size of regular Targets so I don't really have much choice. This Walmart has issues. Again, I go back to associates doing the bare minimum because they get treated like crap by managers who probably also get treated like crap, etc. The last time I was in here it was around shift change. I assume this because several staff members were hanging out (hiding) in the clothing area by the changing rooms. It was around 9 pm, and if memory serves, shift change is at 10 pm. These three were not going anywhere for the next hour unless they absolutely had to. Most times I've been in the deli has been closed - usually at weird hours like during the day or in the evening. I haven't really looked for deli hours sign but it always seems weird that both the deli and the bakery seem closed during business hours or just after business hours. I don't fear for my life going to this Walmart, it's the one I prefer to go to if I absolutely have to go to Walmart. But they have a lot of issues. I purchased items online to be picked up that day in the store. I chose that store on the website and only chose items from my list that the website said were in stock in that store. Paid and waited for a confirmation email. I never got an email saying that the order was ready to be picked up. I never got an email saying that 75% of the items I ordered were not actually in the store that day even though the website clearly stated that they were. I ended up making two trips to Walmart and several phone calls with various managers about this ridiculous problem. If your website says store pick up today, the items should be in stock in the store. That's all there is to it. I think this is a problem that Walmart is going to have. They want to be Amazon but they can't be Amazon and have customers and have stock numbers be inconsistent between the website, corporate, and the store. This was an issue back when I worked for Wally World and it obviously remains an issue. This store is cleaner and better stocked but again the veg and fruits look like they fell off the truck before being put on display and such sad displays they are. I've purchased a couple of bakery items and have gotten very sick after eating each. There are rarely more than 2 registers open at any given time. They do have self-serve but I'm not getting paid to check myself out. When self-serve is open I'll go there just so I don't have to wait in line forever. Walmart is the worst.

Yelp
There's three stores in this town and out of the three this is the better one. Overall Walmart is just okay but don't depend on their website or their app to tell you whether they have something in stock or not. I'm holding something in my hand and there's 12 on the shelf in front of me when I scan the item to find the price the app tells me they don't have any of those in stock but I have 13 of them in front of me. I'm at home and I look for something and it says they have three and I drive to the store and tell me they won't have any for six more days but if I try to order it online they'll tell me I can pick it up tomorrow, doesn't make any sense

Mayra B.

Yelp
My experience today was very good. I made my purchase by pickup and although I have no complaints regarding the products purchased, however I had to wait a bit for the products to be brought to my car and all the spots were busy. But however I will buy by pickup again.

Yelp
Despite its odd positioning of both the store and the parking lot (thanks a lot, City of Gainesville), not to mention the really odd traffic patterns that the positioning has created (again, thanks a lot City of Gainesville) this is actually a decent Walmart. It is not the busiest Walmart (head down to the one in Butler Plaza if you want insane crowds) so shopping is not so bad. The lanes are sufficient, and rarely do I find myself in gridlock caused by carts stopped in aisles. I am a "get in there, get what I need, get out" kind of shopper, typically knowing exactly what I want and where it is in the store, so clear movement lanes in the store are a key thing for me. Just the other day I was there for a number of grocery items, and I was able to get them smoothly without any issues. You aren't going to find things on sale very often, unlike other grocery stores, but it does happen from time to time. I have seen references to the deli being a bit poor, and frankly I have to agree. It is very often closed at hours where you would expect it to be still be open, and I have just never had a good vibe from it. They expanded the self checkout lanes so there is almost always one ready to go when you walk up to checkout. My only other complaint would be that their produce section is usually at some level of disarray whenever I go through it. Either the produce manager doesn't care/isn't very good, or there is an under-staffing problem with the produce section. Good things about the store? It is kept clean, and I have not seen too many problems with under-stocking.

Yoli C.

Yelp
For grocery pick-up, never use this location. Despite receiving an email stating my order was ready for pick up. I waited over an hour for my groceries to be brought out & placed in my car. Unexcusable.

Stan S.

Yelp
This Walmart Coinstar machine took my money and they told me I have to wait for a manager to open up the cash register to redeem the coin star voucher. This Walmart has been opened for nearly an hour (since 6am) and no one at the cash register. Bad enough that Coinstar machine charges 16% on my money. Worse that I can't redeem the voucher in timely fashion. Watch out for this Walmart!

Kristin H.

Yelp
As with any Walmart, the checkout lines are incredibly long, even the self-checkout lines have a long wait to them. The staff is much nicer here than I have found at other Walmart's. Although I usually don't frequent Walmart, this one is probably one of the better ones.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
I am a huge Walmart shopper and this one is always my go to. I usually find shopping at night a little less crowded and quieter but they are always pretty good. Staff is very helpful and shelves are usually always well stocked. A small tip use self check out if you only have few items it's quicker. I Like that their fresh department is located in front as you walk through the door. and that it is always well stocked with fresh produce.

Yelp
WARNING***WARNING***WARNING***WARNING***WARNING DO NOT USE WALMART TO WALMART FOR A MONEY TRANSFER it will take more than one day and you will need to make a second visit to complete the transaction. they do not tell you this when they take your money. Consumer beware!!! This is a method for Walmart to use your money to operate off of. When they do it to thousands of people it adds up, and if you do not follow up the money is lost forever. WARNING ***WARNING***WARNING***WARNING***WARNING

Yelp
Currently the 8th of 12 people in line at customer service at 12:33pm and they only have one poor person handling this he is doing his best but manager walked by and a lady in line asked him about this and he said he doesn't have anyone to spare. However there are multiple employees wandering around the store chatting with each other and doing nothing but collecting a paycheck.

Jenn C.

Yelp
Really nice Walmart. Found some great items for the girls mainly jeans for back to school. The store was organized and very clean. The dressing room area was quite small compared to the size of the Walmart and it was in disarray. This Walmart was quite large and had sections that I'm not use to at home in Alabama.

Deborah B.

Yelp
This is the worst Walmart I've ever visited. I go outside the area to shop at target or Publix even though they are more expensive. If you order online , half the items ordered are never there! Just appalling! Most of the staff is rude and disrespectful, never greeting the customers and god forbid you are looking something. The best answer is "I'm not sure we have that." Just the lowest of caliber in a store that should be serving the community. The pickup staff who deliver your groceries are the best, however. But inside the store is just poor customer service. I'm starting to go to Publix and pay more. At least the carts are not broken down and if you are looking for something they go out of their way to serve! Guess when you pay your employees, they are nicer. Walmart had enough money to purchase new carts. Carts have broken wheels and are old! Can't stand this store! It belongs in a third world country.

LM K.

Yelp
This location is clean and has more inventory than any other location. I could find everything I needed...eventually. It's very big. Some items are stocked on aisles that dead end into windows. Made it kinda awkward to maneuver. At times, I felt I was being followed. Weird, but I'm no thief so I didn't mind exactly. I just hope he was loss prevention and not some nut. He never picked up any items, but ended up on several of the same aisles as my daughter and me. Creepy. My point? Good, clean, reliable store. Customer service people aren't friendly, but they aren't rude either. Very efficient. I'll take that any day.

Jenn C.

Yelp
I spent an hour looking through grocery and found several pricing issues, coffee priced for 2.64 but it rings up 9.64 and the doritos have three different prices. This is just a few of the issues I found. It is very disappointing! I showed a ast. Manger. I will check back tomorrow and see if it is fixed.

Vickie R.

Yelp
The store is always understocked. The deli closes at different times. I went in one day and the deli was closed at 8pm on a Wednesday. I asked a employee about an item being out for a week all I got was a patent answer "that it is coming on the next truck." When I came in again about three days later and asked about the same item. They told me it was "coming on the truck". So in short don't go here if you can avoid it.

Jay O.

Yelp
Very good store. Help is easy to find when I need it. It's very seldom that I can't find something I need. I do avoid coming here Fri, Saturday and Sunday just because there is usually some sort of donation seeking group (track team, basketball team, fight violence, etc) set up at the doors, which I'm not too fond of. I disagree with soliciting at stores in general. Outside of that, a great place to shop.

Mina R.

Yelp
This Walmart has the worst designed parking lot of any where. If you go, you will see. In a college town, it's good because far from campus and not crowded on game days. It is crowded on the first of the month, though.

David B.

Yelp
I like this place far better than most of the other Walmarts in Gainesville. Its massive, and new. I do 60-70% of my shopping here, and compliment the rest with Publix, and Sams club. Its not Whole foods, or Trader Joe's as too was alluded to by Colleen above. However, the savings are just really good, and hard to beat. Caution: parking lot is very large, and although there are cameras, I've gone there by myself, and wouldn't feel comfortable letting my wife go alone. Otherwise, the place is typically "comfortably" full.

Belinda F.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Customer service employees seem unhappy & are not very friendly. Management unavailable. I asked the cashier to check a price on an item before I purchased it. He did & I decided I didn't want it. He set it aside and rung up the rest of my stuff. When I got home I looked at my receipt & happened to find the item that was price checked was on the receipt. I called them & asked for the manager. Waited for 10 minutes & electronics department picked up. I told them I was holding for the manager. They put me on hold for another 10 min. I hung up & called back 2 more times & finally I talked to a customer service representative & she had no empathy for what happened or the fact that I had drive 70 minutes round trip to go there, then have to stand in their ridiculously slow line. Well I went and stood in the line to be greeted by a woman who was snooty. She didn't (& still doesn't) know what I went through to get my money back so no reason to be snooty with me. She seemed like she was like that with most people, thought. Very disappointing experience

Alex L.

Yelp
Compared to the other Walmarts this one is more up to date, possibly because it's just two years old. The store is wired to give shoppers free WiFi on their mobile devices which is a plus as their tin roof hinders mobile network connections. The only minus is that I would not recommend buying their fried or rotisserie chicken as they look and taste over cooked all the time. But other than that it's one of the better Walmarts so far.

Brandy Z.

Yelp
They make up their own rules about selling booze had me return 60 dollars of booze because my sister was waiting outside

Brandon L.

Yelp
Ghetto. Employees are lazy and not trained properly. Prices are not correct. Most items I saw have no price tag or listing. As usual every time we come there's 15 cashier stations but only one employee actually working and only one register open save yourself the time and go to the Archer road location. I went to this store to purchase a laptop long story short the employee whom was a manager sold me a display laptop I felt that there was something weird about this as I got home to use it for my business and work I found that it was company and retail locked making it useless . So I go back to return it and they denied to give me my money back after an hour of talking to an employee that had to get another employee that had to get another they said that the displays are not to be sold! Therefore, why did I have to go through all the issues if it was their mistake not mine . I'm not pleased with Walmart and don't know if I'll ever go back again.

LC B.

Yelp
Ok, so I decided to grocery shop at the Supercenter one time to check out the products and prices, and let me tell you I was sort of disgusted and disappointed. Their produce was limp and really gross. Their cilantro was wet & dying and each bunch they had contained yellow and black leaves; their cucumbers looked horrible as if they were the rejects tossed out from the good ones; they ran out of French bread..who runs out of French bread?? Maybe I went at a bad time, I don't know. But the Supercenters I've been to have not ever looked like that. I wasted my time here and still ended up at Publix. I've concluded that I'd rather pay a little more for better looking produce...the end.

Coleen T.

Yelp
It's new, it's clean, it's close by my house. I go here for random items, but I wouldn't really trust buying produce or other fresh items from here. I love Publix too much. Buying detergent and other household items here is totally worth it though.

Robin Y.

Yelp
first off, I absolutely love how friendly everyone is. Second, i can not say enough about their organic items they have to choice from with a great price. 3. i wish they had a bigger fresh vegetable area, however that too has so many organic and/or natural selection. Time to get my health on @ a great price to boot! WOOT

Caleb H.

Yelp
Terrible service as always. Got ridiculed by the employee and another guest while doing the self check out. Prices are good but experience is terrible

Janet A.

Yelp
This location is pretty clean and usually very well stocked with the items I need. Most of the cashiers are friendly but some won't even talk to you which really ticks me off after I have been waiting in line almost an hour to check out because there are never enough registers open. Being friendly goes a long way. That being said, the older guy over in sporting goods is rude. He had a customer last week purchasing a gun which he said would have him tied up for over an hour. So I could either wait to get my fishing license or go somewhere else. My renewal took less than 2 minutes at the location in Starke. So he could have just minimized the window and helped me or called someone else over to help. Bad customer service that day...

Amy W.

Yelp
Some of the worst customer service I've ever had. Their customer service center closes way earlier than other Walmarts in the area but employees will still transfer you to customer service where you'll sit on the phone while it just rings and rings and rings. Every time I go prices are marked wrong and half of the shelves are missing price tags completely.

Tepenas S.

Yelp
I have made regular visits the new super center in Gainesville FL and I am very disappointed each time I go, in the selection of items there. My regularity in visits was in part due to my hope that things would eventually get better; however they have not. To be the size store it is, they are forever out of stock on essential items that should be readily available in every grocery store in america. To mention a few of my disappointments - the fresh bagged salad selection is scant, at best and most of the salad items are outdated and visibly withered. They have consistently been out of "basic" medicines, appliances, socks and underwear that are of "popular" size, bare popular name brands OR are favored by most shoppers.....things that no retailer should EVER allow to run low or be completely out of. It makes shopping there VERY FRUSTRATING!!! :-( Walmart: Do your department managers EVER order ANYTHING TWICE???

Lanise A.

Yelp
It's far from campus, but that's okay because I'll take this location over Archer rd any day. I can find what I want, it's clean, and the overall selection is better than the other locations. I may not come here often since it's out of the way but I'm guaranteed to find what I want.

Candy Z.

Yelp
Poor customer service, those woman are so rude! Made me feel so angry, will never come back

Charles A.

Yelp
This is just for the store and the service inside, not the customer service department. I would rate the customer service a definite four, but floor service is incredibly lax, the store is disorganized with many items not having prices on them, employees standing around doing nothing but chatting with one another with boxes of goods just sitting in front of them. While scanners are in place for items not marked, some items are simply to heavy to carry to scan.. Further, I asked for assistance from a group of employees who were gathered at a new promotional aisle and received two different answers as to the location of the item, neither of which were correct., I simply gave up on finding the item. I will return to the store as they are the only store in town that carries a particular variety of coffee I enjoy. But I will not purchase anything else from there until they clean up their act.
