Absolutely atrocious employees in the Automotive center. The hubby and I were driving from Wichita, KS to Wichita Falls, TX when we had a tire blow out on the highway with no spare. We called this Walmart and asked if they had one and if they could help us, they said sure, have the tow truck bring it in. So we had the tow there. On arriving, we stood outside for over 30 minutes while employees kept telling us to “check in with the guys with iPads”. Every time we would hunt one of them down, they would avoid us while they were complaining about customers arriving. We finally, reluctantly got checked in by an older guy, that to be honest, should not be working with the public.
When we told him what happened we were told “we should have made an appointment because they were busy and all the other cars that we see here had appointments.” My husband responded with “well, it’s kinda hard to make an appointment for a tire blow out and we’re 5 hours from home, just trying to get back on the road. The guy that helped us on the phone said you could help us.” He then proceeded to tell us repeatedly that they were busy. My husband then questioned why they didn’t allow appointment times for walk ins and he got really mad at tha. After asking for our key, we told him it was on our phone as it’s a digital key and asked if he could just come get the phone when they were ready to work on the car. He turned to another employee and in a very shitty tone said “these guys are fancy and have a digital key, so we’ll have to come get their phone when it’s their turn”.
We went in the waiting room and realized there was a Firestone 2 miles up the road, so we got in the car and drove 10 mph on 3 tires to the Firestone where they greeted us respectfully and kindly (which, after our afternoon was beyond appreciated) and had our new tire on our car and us back on the road in under 10 minutes.
