While on vacation I picked up a nail in my tire. I tried to do the responsible thing and get it repaired before driving 15 hours home. I immediately asked if it could be patched. They told me yes it could be. After waiting 4 hours the service technician told me he couldnt because it was in the sidewall. For the record it was NOT even close to the sidewall. I made him show me the tire and explain. He stuck my his story so I opted to leave. They were trying to upsell me like I had watched them do to several other claiming they didn't have certain cheaper tires in stock that showed in stock on the website, only to sell them a more expensive tire.

I get what I need then go through self checkout. Sometimes self checkout has a line but it is still faster than getting in a cashier line and waiting. No complaints just a routine stop at Walmart!

It's just a Walmart, nothing special stands out. The self checkout areas and scan belts are always sticky or dirty or both. The store is usually decently stocked though, and the cashiers are mostly pretty friendly.

Update: as of 2024 they are better stocked and the store is cleaner. I do not buy produce here as it is rarely fresh. The staff still does not go out of their way to greet you or assist you. Although convenient it is rarely stocked with items you need especially in housewares. And it looks like staff does not take pride in the store. Very disappointing. Let the pics speak for themselves. I would like to blame it on Covid and being understaffed but it was this way back in 2019 long before all the issues of the past year. I find myself ordering more items online or going to other stores even if I pay more because the selection here is poor and the store is untidy. It’s a shame because it’s a large store and if stocked well and kept clean it would really shine. And as I moved through the store and encountered at least 5 employees including the young woman who approved I was over 21 to buy a 6 pack of beer none of them said a single word or even acknowledged me with a head nod.

I thought all Walmarts had a 'no pets in store' policy unless they were a trained service animal. Can anyone explain how this is a service animal? When I asked an employee why they allowed it, I was told customers got mad when told they were not allowed to bring their dog in the store. So they ignore it. Is this hygienic for dogs to be in a public food store? Sorry, I'm a dog owner myself and think it's unhygienic and wrong for dogs to be in a place that sells food. Any responsible dog owner would respect that others do not want dogs sniffing and possibly something else on food items, especially on the lower shelve. This is not a one-off as this is seen in multiple Walmarts every day.

I will not return to this walmart again. We had the most hateful customer service at the return counter. The lady was rude to the person in front of us and had a bad attitude from the go. Obviously, she didn't like her job. The manager we talked to was rude, and the other one was at lunch and said we would have to come back. They refused to do a return for us that we had a receipt for and had just purchased a week ago. It was missing parts and couldn't be used at all. The problem was it was raining and they got wet. I didn't realize that getting rained on was a reason to refuse to do a return. However, we left and went to walmart in Gastonia, where we received perfect customer service. They gave us no questions about it. Just politely gave us a refund with a smile and said, "Have a nice day." It is a shame that good customer service is so hard to find. These stores wonder why they're losing business online. It's because people don't want the hassle of dealing with rude people who hate their jobs.

8/17/2024: Lincolnton, NC. Terrible experience this morning! Wish I had gotten the door greeter/bag checker's name but I didn't. Here is the deal: We paid for our items two of which were boxes of Waterloo flavored water. They were too large to fit in a bag. I expected they/he would want to see the receipt (I don't think you have to show it legally in North Carolina) so I had it ready and he took it out of hand. Then he took quite a while looking at the cart and then the receipt. Finally I asked him if there was a problem. He was trying to find the two boxes (12 packs of alcoholic items). The idiot was lookin at two boxes of canned water/8 cans per box. Where did he come up with two 12 packs of alcohol? Walmart, if you read this do you require your door greeters to be able to read and understand what they read on a receipt? After enough time passes I ask him if I own the products or not and does he think I am trying to steal something? He says he is just doing his job; I ask him why the majority of the time door greeters and I exchange good mornings or good afternoons, etc. My wife who is always very quiet finally tells him quietly that he is very rude and of course he turns it around and says we are the rude ones. This guy pegged us as someone he wanted to harass/make an example of and while doing it just let others walk by. Wonder if I could go after the legally? If you can, stay away from the Lincolnton NC Walmart.

I absolutely despise going into any Walmart. We were in Lincolnton last night (12/30/21) and stopped in this Walmart and it's as bad as the sorry one we have here in Denver. Wife had to return a shirt she got for Christmas. We went to customer service, which is an oxymoron at Walmart. Even though there were about six people in line, the area was dark. About five minutes later some employee wonders through and informed everyone in line that customer service was closed because they had no one to work that area. SMFH! Then we tried to do some shopping and found so much empty shelf space through out the store, it looked like they were going out of business! Health & Beauty and the OTC meds looked like they were only half stocked and groceries were just as bad. And of course like any Walmart we go into any more, we left with less than half of what we came in for. If our budget did not dictate we shop at stores like Walmart, I would never step foot in one ever again.

Wanted to take a moment to recognize assistant manager Lynn at this location. What started off as a not so great experience with an order delay and struggling to get my phone call answered turned into a great experience! After informing her that I was on a tight time constraint and my photo book was delayed from being ready the day prior she went above and beyond to make sure that it was done for me! There was no one available In the photo center so she and another associate that were not familiar with the department or the process took the time and spent hours figuring out how to do it so that they were able to complete my order in the timeframe I needed it! She also kept in touch with me to keep me updated as everything went along. This was going above and beyond in my opinion and Saved a customer and a sale! I gave four stars only because of my experience prior to working with Lynn but Lynn would get more than five stars in my book!

This is quite honestly the worst Walmart I've ever dealt with and have started driving an additional 10-15 minutes to avoid it whenever possible. Their pick-up service is as incompetent as it is slow. Unless it's an emergency, I strongly recommend going to either Denver or Cherryville locations.

I have been using Walmart's web for my grocery purchases. There are some bugs in the grocery ordering portal, but manage most of time to get through it. I have paid for deliveries and it is such a convenience. Today, I was supposed to have a delivery this morning. Receive a text that groceries are ready for pickup. I chose delivery and on my order portal it said delivery. Called to notify Walmart only to be told they cannot change it. Had to cancel an redo a long list. Again, your end says pickup, my end says delivery and nothing Wally World can do to fix their mistake. Sad!

lincolnton walmart,,,,, we are ashamed of you.... we have spent literally thousands of dollars on big screen tv's alone at your store... a mentally challenged girl was having a hard time at your self help checkout....... she asked for help with the system,,,,,, but was not able to make it work correctely.....to make a long story short,,,,,,you had her barred from your store,,,, and had her appear in court for theft.... your poor judgment caused a great deal of stress on her,,,..and she was no longer able to communicate gracefully..... to the managers,, and the teanage workers involved,,,,,,, you should be ashamed of your selves,,,,, we have not since returned to your store,,,, and never will......

The customer service acts like you have done something wrong if you have return. In the event you don't have receipt they act as if you stole the item from them. So done with this Walmart. I believe I would drive hour before I would drive the 6 min from my house to get to the Lincolnton Walmart.

Wow what an impressive Walmart! It's new and very clean. I was able to locate all my needs with ease. It seems a lot larger than the one I go to on Independence, but maybe it's just the layout. The cashier was extremely friendly and happy to assist with my question. This is a great Walmart....

I will never do business with them again. The lady at the returns desk is really nasty. You can't get a Walmart store card for a comforter you brought at there store because you have no receipt. She states I don't know if you can return it at another Walmart or not. The comforter is only 60.00. They don't do returns over 50.00 without a receipt at this Walmart only. I will be talking with corporate

I usually avoid going to Wal-Mart at all costs, but I have found a few things to comment about, that maybe beyond a typical commentary. One: I have discovered, quite by accident, that if I stop-by wearing my really hole-y jeans, because it's convenient, because I was shopping at Lowe's Home Improvement next door, because I was working on a home project... I am robustly greeted at the door. I guess I fit in. Two: Recently Wal-Mart added a video to the self-checkout display, that shows candy bars, floating and flashing in a circle, and it's accompanied by musical tones that resemble LasVegas slot machines. I suppose they are trying to entice simple minds that buying candy is a mindless and fun thing to do. Buyer Beware ;-) That last one is like a nail in Wal-Mart's coffin. How dare they!

Also my step mom went there couple weeks back they checked her battery as good then 2 days later I had to scrap all the corrosion cause it wouldn't start there sorry ...

Worst Walmart ever I been to in North Carolina i came with my sister boyfriend to get a car battery and the associate named Lindsay that works in the auto department was being so rude to us. She also made a mistake with the cash register and she took so long . I recommend to go to another Walmart .

The only problem with this Walmart is the managers. They have a poor chain of command and usually one doesn't know what the other is doing. On the up slope, the employees are all very courteous and helpful. One exception to that is the group of smokers at the end of the food section who make fun of people as they enter and leave the store

I called walnart today (11-18-17) at 11:00am. The clerk said we have them here ready to go. After driving aways to get there they tell me you have to wait until next week. I spoke to the manager who stated she should not had told me that but I left still pissed with no tires.

Went to deli counter and two people were ahead of me. An employee named Sarah was not only rude to customers but rude to other employees in deli. That's really sad to see in customer service. It made me not want to shop at the deli.Needless to say I got out of line and went to another store to shop.everyone else seemed to be okay. Maybe she needs to be moved to the back where she doesn't have to work with the public.

I bought a computer recently from walmart it was a clearance item. I got it home and turned it on and found that it had a green vertical line in the screen, (big problem) I went back to walmart and was told that i bought it as is,NO EXCHANGE OR REFUND) I am of the opinion that they knew this when they put it on sale! It is a show of poor sales ethics. Bottom line is check anything you buy on clearance before you pay, once you pay then you beco me a victim like me. The repair for this computer is a very costly repair. Thanks Walmart.
