I have been waiting for a long time here to get assistance for buying ammunition. Funny things that they locked the products and left the keys around the closet. Manager probably has been sleeping. I tried to find someone by visiting associates and no response and called the store but nobody showed up. This store is suck because I had some other problems before.

I came here to shop around and found a speaker for an amazing price. I wanted to double check and asked the associate in electronics since they're locked, and they had to grab a shift lead for the answer. The shift lead didn't understand the pricing either and claimed to have gotten the "store manager" but returned less than 1 minute later saying they can't honor the price. So even if the pricing is there displayed on the shelf, the Store won't honor their pricing policy. Its not like the item is in the wrong place, it's locked up with their own electronic pricing. I would not recommend this location to anyone due to their underhanded methods of FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS. I only ask for one item, and they didn't remove the price or item after. I wish to be contacted for this matter.

Huge Walmart in Glen Ellen. Got everything for daily life. The produce is fresh and good quality. Lots of cereal and breakfast bars. Clothes are low prices but quality is not that great. Shoes are also very average quality. Lots of toys. Its strength is its weakness, which is its size. The store is so big that it takes forever to find something and just to walk thru the store.

Nice and clean and all the shelves were fully stocked up. People were friendly. Slight confusion pricing. Multiple pricing on a same item and scanned the higher prices at the checkout. Super low prices on some items it I didn’t buy because I didn’t need them. Today 6/14/2022 I went for shopping at this Walmart and picked up ice cream and lot of groceries and other items. Came to check out and there were yellow tape by all the cashiers. Only self checkout were open. I am not interested in self checkout all these items so I left the cart right there and left. I told one of the employees that I am not looking for a job as cashier nor I need training for it so I am not interested in a self check out the whole shopping cart. He said ok and walked away.

Had a good experience, staff was friendly and helpful. I had to call customer service to find out if they had a product on hand and the lady was super helpful. The store was clean and I was able to easily find what I needed. Thank you for having a small vegetarian/vegan section it made my shopping so much easier.

whenever i come here, it is always such a mess. theres nobody able to help ever. so many employees walking around but if you ask any of them anything, they say they cant help with what youre needing. the little buttons that say “press for associate” are useless. pressed one 3 times and nobody showed up. we needed someone to get something for us in a locked cabinet. we had to go find someone eventually because the button wasn't doing anything. she said she needed to get her boss. about 5 minutes later, she returned with a bunch of keys. tried every single one (which none of them worked) she then said, no im sorry i need to go get my boss (thought she was doing so already but okay) then about 5 minutes later, she returned again and said “im sorry i cant” so we didn't get what we were wanting to get. so poorly managed. everytime we come, its just frustrating and annoying. will avoid this place at all costs. my boyfriend went to find a manager. waited almost 10 minutes. finally someone walked by that looked like he was of importance. my boyfriend tried to talk to him and he said “im on lunch break, find someone else” absolutely ridiculous.

Due to out of town trips for the past weeks and lots of Amazon.com shopping, I hadn't been to our local WalMart in quite a while, until today. Usually as an Elite Yelper, I review restaurants and services, not department or big box stores. But my experience today has made me stop to take the time to give this store praise! This is the cleanest and most well maintained big box and/or warehouse store that I have been to in a long time! I didn't really need to buy anything; it's my hubby who had a few items on his list to pick up. But I needed to use the ladies rest room, and thus began my surprisingly good experience! So clean and well-maintained, that it made me wonder if it had been newly renovated. So, I decided to kill time walking around the store and was really impressed at how organized and neat every aisle is. At these big stores I expect floors to be sticky in some areas, clothing or hanging items (socks, slippers, etc.) knocked over onto the floor, the clearance section chaotic... you get the picture. If a local store is a reflection of the classiness of their clientele (or the opposite) , then I am proud to say that our local Walmart is a good representation of those who shop there and live in its vicinity. I hope they keep it up!

What can I really say, it's another Walmart. I was looking for a few items and hoped that I might find them here. I actually found some of what I was looking for and was very happy with that. If I had more time I would have actually looked at more stuff. I actually found some clothing and some food items that I hoped to bring back with me. I have to say that prices were in line with what I expected. The storage self was in pretty good shape and very well stopped. There were a lot of people shopping and when I was done I was able to use the self checkout and get out very quickly. I was actually hoping to get back to this location to see if I could pick up a few more items but I basically ran out of time so I will have to find another store further down the road. While walking through the food section I ran across Sahlen's footlong hot dogs. I haven't seen these in a store in literally forever. I was very tempted to buy some as a novelty for people I know back home but I resisted and only purchased the items that I was looking for.

I have been coming to this Walmart for years and it has always been a great location. I stop here often now for my gym supplement needs as Walmart has really upped their supplement game with products from Muscle Milk, Quest, Atkins, and Pure Protein. Definitely recommend this location to all nearby.

Just had a good laugh today. I was down there buying plastic containers, as they are RELATIVELY cheap and fairly fool proof. What I got was Fool Proof from the clerk up front. I took 4 by accident in terms of the containers when I wanted three. So I gave the extra one to her. Then I had 4 minutes of fun when she asked me where the lid for the fourth was, as if I was trying to make off with a Sterlite lid. Funnier was that people are taught to look inside these containers at the door. I therefore left the lid(s) off the container stack. Just as the greeter walked out the door and down the sidewalk. Jeez.

I ordered from Walmart.com and a store employee delivered a pair of AirPods to my house and for some reason put it in my mailbox. My instructions say to put it by the front door and in addition, it is illegal to put anything but mail in a mailbox. When I get home, there is nothing in my mailbox. Because there's a picture of it in my mailbox, Walmart refuses to provide me a refund. Beware, you'll never get the customer service from Walmart that you get from Amazon. For an expensive item like this, it's unbelievable that customer service will do nothing for me.

Waited for 2 hours for my pickup order. I was unable to go into the store due to my 6 month old baby that was with me. Attempted to ask the staff that was delivering orders to other cars where my order was. They said they would check and let me know. No one ever followed up. I ended up calling the store and was put on hold multiple times. Finally Tony answered and gave an excuse for my order being so behind and he got my order sent to my car.

I went to the Tire dept and we asked 2 times about opening the locked doors to view and compare the products. Waited over 10 mins and still no help. We walked out. Not very helpful at all. We took our business somewhere else. I do not recommend this place at all.

Happened to be driving through the area and decided to stop by to get an item my mom needed that wasn't in stock at any other Walmart in the Chicagoland area. The parking lot was full of trash, and both entrances were blocked by several shopping carts tipped over in front of the doors. The employee stationed at the entrance/exit was not paying attention at all, as he was too busy leaning with his hand against the wall where a girl, presumably his girlfriend, was standing. I knew what aisle the item was in, but could not find section Y. I asked an employee, who was nice, but he too was confused as to where section Y was and had to ask another employee (not blaming him, he may have been new). The other employee was confused as to why the item I needed would be in section Y, which is supposedly the garden center, when it was not a gardening/outdoor item. Nevertheless, he decided to lead me to the garden center, and before even getting there, I happened to spot the item on the end cap of an aisle, which was not labeled section Y (it had a number but no letter like all other sections do). He was surprised to see it there but I thanked him and he left. I grabbed 4 of the item and went to check out. While scanning, I realized that one of the items was cracked, and another had bird poop on it, so I got the attention of the employee stationed at the self checkout and asked her to come over. She nodded upon seeing me, then proceeded to walk over to a different checkout station that nobody was using. Mind you, this was at 10pm and only one of the other 6 self checkouts was being used, so it's not like it was a busy time or like somebody had just used that checkout spot. Barely anyone else was in the store. She sprays the checkout station down with a bottle and wipes it clean before walking towards me. Her job is probably to clean the checkouts and I'm not trying to sound entitled that she didn't immediately help me, but after nodding that she saw me and then going to a different spot that didn't have a pressing need, it definitely caught me off guard. When she came to me I told her that I needed to go back and switch out two of the items since one was cracked and one had bird poop. Like I said, the store was practically empty and nobody was in line, so I just wanted to make her aware that I was going to leave the 2 good items there and be right back. Her exact words were "ok go back change" and I asked if she wanted to put the 2 damaged items somewhere else and she just repeated "ok go back change," which I assumed to mean she just wanted me to go back with the damaged items and swap them out. After swapping the items out and paying, I walk out only to get a death stare from the worker at the door who was still standing with his hand against the wall over the girl. I understand that these employees do not get paid a ton, and I get that I was shopping at an unusual time. But this experience was definitely an odd one, and especially surprising considering how nice of an area it is located in (just down the street from the Morton Arboretum, right next door to Abbington Banquets). Walmart isn't known for being a high-end place and I'm not someone who even cares about a store being "nice," but I have been to plenty of Walmarts and this was the worst one. The one star is deserved simply because they actually had the item that no other Walmart did, but that's probably due to nobody else shopping here...

I'm not sure if this is the right location or not but I'm so pissed that I'm going leave this review at several locations that are nearby. I got a notification while I was out that my package was delivered I came home, the package was not there I looked at the notification again I clicked on the link. It showed a picture of where the package was left. It was not left in my building, it was not left at my door it was left in the courtyard next to a fire hydrant. When I went to go look for it surprise, surprise it was gone. Someone had stolen it. The drivers name was Leslie and Leslie needs to stop being lazy and deliver to the building like normal deliveries.

I do not understand why stores try to pass off expired food. I purchased sausages from Walmart. They were expired, and after being cooked the sausages were mushy, and falling apart. That's when I checked the expiration date, and found them to be expired! Now what if I had gotten sick from eating that garbage!

Called this store today BEFORE we drove the 10 miles to get there to see if they had any store checkers or if the store has turned into a self check out center. they said they had live checkers to help us with our $250 plus purchases. when we got there all the check out lanes were taped off and the store is self check out only which may be o.k. for small purchases. totally lied to us over the phone. drove to the walmart in Addison and they had 3 check-out lanes open and we were actually treated like paying customers. Addison had twice as many customers too so maybe we are not the only ones fed up with the walmart self check-out b.s. they make enough money to pay a cashier as i go there to shop NOT be an employee. i hope the glen ellyn walmart tanks.

TL; DR: Treated like a CRIMINAL because I didn't use a plastic bag after purchase. Today (8/18/18) I went through the Self-Checkout literally 20' from the Exit door and purchased $54 worth of toys for my baby. I try to be environmentally conscious and usually decline plastic bags wherever I shop unless I'm in dire straits. (I had done a return for a birthday toy he had received and hadn't planned on shopping. Thus, I didn't have any reusable bags with me.) Upon trying to exit, I was asked for my receipt. I asked why it was needed and was told because my items were unbagged. (1) There are cameras EVERYWHERE, in every aisle, and situated so customers know they are being recorded. (2) The same is to be said at the Self-Checkouts: there is a camera at each register trained on the customer: both IN the register AND ABOVE. (3) The Self-Checkouts are manned by an employee just standing there, leaning against her register, WATCHING the four lanes. (4) Being 20' from the door, I was in view of ALL of the above, PLUS the "greeter" at the Exit. (5) I PAID FOR MY MERCHANDISE. I asked for a manager so I could ask more about this so-called policy. An African American female Assistant Manager told me that the policy is they check receipts for all unbagged items. I asked to see a copy of this policy, and was told they could not produce a written copy. I called Walmart's corporate Customer Service number, and in the meantime was joined by another Assistant Manager (Hispanic male). BTW, their # is (800) 925-6278. Interestingly enough, while I was talking to Walmart Customer Service on the phone, the door greeter started stopping every. single. person. - with or without a bag - for their receipt. Walmart Customer Service told me that the policy is that receipts are requested to be reviewed upon Exit for ALL LARGE ELECTRONIC ITEMS THAT CANNOT BE BAGGED: i.e. televisions. It does not apply to anything else, including the small toys that I purchased. I was told that they are going to send a report to the Store Manager so that they could review the policies with the employees. I thanked the Customer Service agent and then relayed what I was told to both Assistant Managers who were still standing there with me. The African American female Assistant Manager got snippy attitude and told me I "could leave" and "to have a nice day." Needless to say, I will not be patronizing Walmart again. There's a reason that I've never been hassled for not using plastic bags at places like Target and every other retailer I've shopped: because Walmart is trashy and views their customers as criminals who are stealing merchandise.

While shopping at this store a few weeks ago, I witnessed a supervisor publicly berating an employee for the terrible crime of ... leaning against a wall. The supervisor, wearing a vest that ironically read "coach," yelled at the employee to "stand on this line and do not move" while slamming a broom on the floor to emphasize each and every word. Customers at the cashiers and in the customer service line were all staring, so everyone heard it. I flagged down another "coach" in a yellow vest and told her. She shrugged, rolled her eyes, and walked away -- in the other direction. So I called over one of the managers and told him both about the first person's behavior and the other woman who didn't care. I emailed WalMart as well, since someone should actually care about abuse of employees, but never heard back. It's clear they don't care if their employees are abused by trainers and managers.

I made 3 separate online orders within a 2 month time frame. Each of my orders did not arrive to my address. Each order alerted me that the order was delivered and a picture of the package at your door was available to view. The pictures were not my door or did they look like anything in my neighborhood. They never have anything in the toy section! Like ever! Over stocked in clothing which is a great thing, but when I'm trying to buy a toy for my son or children I nanny we can never get anything. It's always the stupid expensive stuff on the shelves or the stuff the kids don't want or are too old (or young) to play with! Seriously so annoying! Other than that there is a super friendly woman who works in self checkout in the morning, I adore her!

It's Walmart. It has what you need, staff that does what it can with what training and help they have. You have some staff that care and try and others who honestly just don't but that's retail. Can you blame them? But lately the women's clothing section has been a mess. They haven't gotten in any shipment of pants for a month. I usually stop in because they have the brand I like and I know they fit and yet lately it's a small picking while hardly any sizes. Plus why is everything jeggings or skinny? I want a pair of bootcut or flared. Why is it that not something you can keep stocked? It's annoying. I tried to get it shipped to store, but none of the ones I want are available for it. , It's a pain tbh

Very rude and power hungry employee! (His Name: Jorge) I was at the store with a few friends and we purchased some sodas and were drinking them by the claw machines at the entrance. After 3 minutes of being in the the entrance closest to the garden center, an employee by the name of JORGE came to talk to us. He was wondering what we were doing and we explained that we were trying to win some stuff. He noticed that one of my friends is sitting in the mobility scooter while drinking a soda. He tell him that he can't sit there (which is understandable) my friend proceeds to get off and apologize. This wasn't enough for him though and he exclaims that we need to leave now or he'll call the police on us and if we're ever seen again that he'll call them and that this was the third time we have been "messing around" in the store which isn't true at all! We always come here strictly to get some snacks and go somewhere else to enjoy them. This night the claw machines caught our eyes and we were punished! He must hate seeing friends hanging out since he may not have any. Again his name is JORGE, he must only work the night shift since when I would shop during the day I'm greeted with very nice employees. He should be put in the back handling boxes in the storage area until he learns how to treat customers or better yet, just fire him!! I have never had a bad experience with this Walmart till this night and the one stare review clearly shows how upset I am about this situation. I will still come to this Walmart seeing as it the closest grocery store for me. I explain the situation to the police if I have to!! Remember the name is JORGE!! Please have some sort of punishment for this employee, again the name is JORGE. Never in my 10 years of coming to this Walmart have I seen a power hungry employee!!!

I am not sure if anybody actually works at the store. There are people wearing Walmart uniforms and name tags but I have been waiting buy furniture for over 10 minutes. Every person that I ask for help says that someone else is coming. Ridiculous UPDATE*** CHANGED MY ONE STAR REVIEW TO A THREE-STAR. The piece of furniture that I wanted is not available at this store and I couldn't get the floor model, but Sherry and Vivian or "Viv" were very helpful and giving me my options. The store itself gets a three-star but as far as customer service goes these ladies deserve five star.

PLEASE beware before you order an expensive item from Walmart.com to have it delivered to your home! We ordered a laptop during the Black Friday sale and was waiting days for it to be delivered.. customer service claimed the otem was "canceled " by the driver and returned to the store but would be delivered the next day for sure....next day and day after that nothing! My husband called back to customer service again and after going back and forth on the phone in circles, and supervisors refusing to get on the phone... they told my husband that the driver signed for our package and stole it... I am sire he stole the entire truck load of items as well. They then tell us we have to go file a police report because they are not screening who they hire and allowing anyone to deliver customers packages!! We are back on hold now after customer service claiming they were transferring us to a supervisor and they hung up the phone.. this is yet another hour despite the 1 hour we were previously on the phone. This is a nightmare! PLEASE BEWARE that Walmart is hiring scum and they stealing items from customers and WALMART COULD CARE LEASS AND MAKE YOU JUMP THROUGH HOOPS like its your fault. You have been WARNED!

This new super center is awesome!! I have watched the transformation from the old non super Walmart to this new massive one! It's Walmart but now with a full grocery store. The store is very large (warehouse sized). Its almost like a mini cardio session walking from side to side! They have a large checkout center, but not many cashiers are there.....ever. They also have a really large self-check out station which is nice! There is a subway and eye glass/optical center in this Walmart also!

This is the Walmart which is close to my house.Ernest,Mona,Lily at the Eye center and Daniella are some of the great staff members at this Walmart.I have always found what I am looking for,or at least people who try to help with a smile. This Walmart is the worst in the area. The only reason I go here is its cheap. Don't even get me started about the pharmacy.. they are so rude and no help at all with any questions about anything. I always leave saying I won't ever go back but as I said it's cheap and close to my house.

I was in and out of the store real quick because I knew what I was getting. They have cherry cake mix and frosting which I can never find anywhere else so I was happy to find them here. Which made me happy. So since I went to just the baking area it seemed well organized and Clean and I was able to find what I needed. I went to the self checkout and it was kind of hard to scan the items. That was the only issue. Other than that not bad.

Been going to this one for years and it's really gone down-hill over the past year or so! There aren't enough registers open, even the 'self-check outs' only have one or two of the scanners open! The inventory seems sparse and limited- sometimes wonder if it's getting ready to shut down?! Hope they improve soon -

This location, in Glen Ellyn, recently moved it's grocery pickup from one side of the building to almost the complete opposite side about a month and half ago. Now it's more inconvenient for pickup customers get and leave. The employees also have to travel further to deliver groceries. As of about 3 weeks ago all ice cream products are showing 'out of stock'. This is likely related to the pickup location move, maybe the freezers are too far away or there is no 'cold' storage for pickups anymore. The other frozen items I was able to get were warm when I got home. They probably think customers won't care/notice the warm, perhaps with dangerous bacteria growth, items you get. Ice cream was probably dropped because it's obvious if its warm as it will leak all over. This means all this is intentional on managements part. The pickup employees, who were always friendly prior to the move, now seem more stressed out and in a terrible hurry as well. I can't blame them, I blame the store manager, who likely makes several hundred thousand a year per Google posts, for making what appears to be a terrible decision and/or awful planning/implementation. Seriously not a single ice cream product anymore? I no longer purchase from this location. If Walmart's 'plan' was to loose customers, they did an excellent job. I wish I could piss off my customers at my job and make several hundred thousand a year doing such!

Despite having a divider between both customers, cashier checks to see how astute customer is to see if they will catch or not. Both were Indian. Manager was informed today. This was planned. They are reviewing camara tapes now. No accident.. planned. on the next customer's bill just happened today total scam art walmart. Check whay you buy very carefully and be alert so you did not feet scammed at butterfield 53 walmart super center.

Why is no one else freaked out that birds live in this store. Here is my story. I am not a regular Walmart shopper. Today's trip only happened because I haven't been able to find a lot of Toy Story toys and that's all my youngest wants. Online it looked like this store had a decent selection. I should've known better than to believe anything I read on the internet, because all they had was 3 items that were strewn willy nilly throughout the entire disheveled toy area. As I'm looking at the holiday items, I heard a loud whooshing accompanied by a fluttering sound and two black blurs speed past me overhead. I nearly ran for cover, but the other ladies in the aisle I was in(one was an employee) didn't bat an eyelash. So I figured maybe I just thought I saw something in the corner of my eye or I was hallucinating. No biggie. This happened several more times. After the second time I realized that they were birds. Birds. Even though I'm not opposed to birds in general, I can't imagine being dive bombed or pooped on would add to the quality of my shopping experience. I'd also like to state that birds don't belong anywhere near fresh groceries. All and all it made for an exciting yet vomit inducing trip that I hope to never relive. Understaffed, messy, and generally an unpleasant place to shop. Expect to be ignored in the deli, find the shelves bare for the 5 things you came in specifically to get, no bags for your produce, and super long lines at the checkouts. Half the carts seem to have been hit by cars in the parking lot, so they make noise and don't steer well. As a bonus, they will stop you on your way out of the store and make you feel like a criminal while they examine your receipt and your cart. Other Walmart stores aren't nearly such a disaster - steer clear of this one if you can.

I only picked a star because you had to pick one before posting, otherwise they wouldn't get that. This store is ridiculous. They never have enough registers open, but you will see store employees walking around with thier phones out while they walk by you prentening like they don't see you.

It's Wal-Mart, so you either love it or hate it. I really do not mind it either way, it serves its purpose. They have everything you need, sometimes not the best of prices, other times insanely cheap. Some departments are disorganized, others not so much. Clientele and employees actually a bit better than average when comparing other locations. I shop in the grocery section sometimes, and its not too bad as it is definitely improving with time. Produce here is not terrible, but certainly expensive or unavailable. The employees are usually friendly, but the service does take a lot longer then one would expect. Self-checkouts are available but often have a line as well. Once you get out, you'll hopefully have everything you need (or realize you need to go back in again...)

When I heard this would be a Superstore I was excited. During construction it was dreadful to shop, so unorganized, you couldn't find everything you wanted ever! Now that they are open for months it's not any better the service is awful! I have tried, tried many times to purchase lunchmeat at the deli and never been waited on! The produce department is never fully stocked never! I tried to get ladies sports socks out, tried to get some craft items it's always a mess!! Needed lightbulbs well again out and tried to purchase a bike and not a person in sight to help me!!! When I called for someone no one knew how to get the bikes off the taller shelves down!!! They are understaffed, I cannot believe they would Have a manager of any soft on staff. What's sad is the store was fine before they made it a superstore! Final note it was brought so much riff Raff in to Glen ellyn it is scary to shop after dark!

I was able to get in and out very quickly. Best of all they have Opal apples and I could use the self check out. Good experience for me.
