To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to report a serious incident that occurred at the Spring Supercenter Walmart on 1025 Sawdust Rd, Spring, TX 77380. While shopping in aisle J14, my daughter and my 9-year-old child were directly assaulted by an unidentified individual who pelted them with fistfuls of popcorn kernels. The attack caused physical injuries, including welts on the back and leg of my 9-year-old daughter. Several kernels struck her face, and as a result, she now requires an eye examination to assess potential damage.
Following this incident, Walmart employees failed to respond appropriately. When my oldest daughter sought assistance and requested access to the store’s video footage, Monica, the Store Coach, stated she could not access the footage and that only an employee named Candice, the Manager had the necessary permissions. Despite this, no attempt was made to review the footage, identify the individual responsible, or provide my daughters with support.
Additionally, store employees did not offer to complete an incident report, nor did they follow up on their promise to provide video evidence. At no point were my daughters guided through proper safety procedures or offered assistance after being physically harmed inside the store. This represents a significant failure in customer safety, documentation, and due diligence.
I am requesting that this matter be escalated to the corporate level. I ask that the relevant video footage from the time and location be preserved and made available upon request. I also urge Walmart to review the store’s handling of this event, including staff response protocols, to ensure such negligence does not occur again.
